I called them not because of the messed up order but because I found plastic in my food It wasn't just a regular plastic looks like an earring type of plastic. I explained to the lady multiple times about the plastic she tells me it's because it's cooked in oil. Oil would have melted the plastic. So I asked for a refund. I had the egg foo young and it was some of the best I've ever had. At the price point they're selling at you really can't compete with it. Only had to wait about 15 minutes to get my food and the lady behind the desk was very nice. The menu doesn't stray from the usual items that you would find on any Chinese takeout menu, but that's okay. I ordered food from this place on GrubHub a little bit ago. I have GrubHub+, so I have free delivery or something like that, and I wanted Chinese good. The only caveat is that there are very few participating restaurants on GrubHub. This was the closest Chinese place to me, so I had no other options. Luckily, all places like this are largely the same. They're all literally four stars. Not five, not three, four. I got some 'goons, amazing. I got some sesame chicken, bangin'. I got some honey garlic chicken, actually amazing. It tasted very honey-like and garlicky. I was a fan. So yea, if this place crosses your path, you have a very specific craving, and this place will definitely settle that craving for you. read more

Good ole reliable! I love this place! I've been coming for the past 4 YEARS and they consistently hit the mark. The price is super affordable and the portions are HUGE. I usually order dinner combos and I can eat 3 meals out of them. I've ordered a variety of items including general tsao's chicken, sweet & sour chicken, bourbon chicken, Mongolian beef, and spare ribs. Everything is delicious and I love trying new things on their menu because I trust it'll be amazing. My only critique is that sometimes the meat can be a little dry, but reheating it the next day seems to eliminate this issue. Another key point is that I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN SICK here. This is super important to me especially for small businesses, but I've never had any stomach issues of pain after eating here. The service is incredible, everyone who works there is so nice. And ordering right here through the yelp app is super convenient. The staff ALWAYS follows my special instructions which I really appreciate. All of the food was extremely hot a fresh not mention you get large portions and the price is super affordable! They have a contact less pick up and order system with a sliding door to put the food through. All of the staff was wearing face masks and gloves. They were also friendly! We've been living near this place since the summer, the reviews discouraged us and we've been traveling to Winter Garden when we had a taste for Chinese! Well, the family wanted some Chinese, I didn't feel like traveling 30 minutes to Winter Garden, and we have China Gourmet a shot! We did combos for Vegetable Low Mein , Sweet and Sour Chicken and Sesame Chicken. I can honestly say everything tasted so good. The Egg-rolls reminded me of home in NY, everything was perfect! The only problem I had was the pork fried rice needed a little more flavor and they forgot to add Sesame Seeds. Our first time visiting this establishment, my house guest traveling from WV, NC, wanted Chinese Food, since this establishment popped up on the GPS enroute, we stopped here. Ordered hot and sour soup, chicken lo mein and Shrimp Egg Foo Young. The food was bland, not the best, but, the worst nightmare, was my house guest viewed a roach in the hot and sour soup. We fished it out with a spoon. When phoning the restaurant, the woman clerk tried to ignore the charge by saying the roach was a bean. I told her beans does not have antenna or legs. I'm giving this restaurant three stars based on my multiple experiences with their delivery (5+ times, I have not been to the facilities). My three star review is solely on the fact that China Gourmet's delivery usually takes very long (one hour to an hour and a half, even when I live less than 10 minutes away). The orders are not always accurate, as they have forgotten items I have ordered, or they have given me the wrong rice. The times when I have called to follow up with my orders, I have been placed on hold for a long time, and at times they have hung up on me. Nevertheless the quality of the food is good, and the portions are big enough to share between two or three people. Orders are served with fortune cookies. read more

I think this place is much better than the Yelp ratings imply. We Consistently get great food, space the way we request, and lots of condiments and anything else I ask for. They are very accommodating are used to make special trips into New York City to get great Chinese food in Chinatown. Well I am certainly not comparing it to the best I've found in Chinatown it's certainly the best around Oviedo and North Orlando that I have found. Ordered delivery for the first time. The food was still nice and hot. I ordered the large general tso chicken dinner combo with an egg roll. Large yang chow fried rice and large hot and sour soup. The dinner combo was well worth it. The portion was so big that it looked like I barely ate it after I was full. It has enough for 2 to 3 meals depending on how much you eat. The combo comes with either a egg roll, soda, or soup. The egg roll is kinda smaller than other places. The yang chow fried rice was good, but I am use to it having ham, but they subbed it for chicken I believe. The hot and sour soup i got with medium spice tasted pretty good too, but I would probably get it spicier next time. The delivery took kinda long but it was not too bad. The food overall was not bad but not great. The prices are pretty cheap compared to other areas. I will most likely order here again if I'm craving some American-Chinese food. read more

I wonder how many would order again if they went to the restaurant and picked it up. The strip mall that it's located in looks like a good place for a gang fight. Run down, dirty, in need of repair (or razing). Even in that environment the restaurant stands out as the centerpiece of squalor. Filthy sliding plexiglass access hole at crotch level. Adorned with enough scratch marks and stains to bring back those sweet memories of retrieving your personal effects from the state prison. A very nice gentleman delivered my food in a big brown paper bag. No contents were spilled or toppled over. I got the ginger broccoli with a side of white rice which has a nice kick to it! I also got a spring roll and the vegetable lo Mein. All very very good. The krab Rangoon had onions or something in it which I didn't really like, but they were hot which was nice.
