It's a really cute concept with great decor and positive vibes. My food is always delicious and presented well. I frequent this ucf location fairly often. . . today i placed an order online with a bowl having a base being romaine. While my order was correct and all the toppings and proteins were there, i noticed there was more than an acceptable amount of old/brown romaine (picture attached of some of it) included which i ended up picking out since it worried me. The bowl itself was good, but this bowl should have NOT gone out with old/bad romaine included. While $20 isn't outrageous, there is no reason to service it this way. I used to visit all the time while living in the area, and since moving I have always craved it! So today I got my Sus Hi fix and it was as delicious as I remembered it to be! You can be super creative and choose your own roll/burrito/hand roll/etc. ingredients, or go with a pre-selected one. You order on kiosks so you can really take your time. They have lots of tasty sauces as well. After ordering, the food came out fast and looked (and tasted, of course) beautiful! The Fry Me a River Burrito is HUGE and had a super crispy exterior, the Loaded Rice Tots were a surprisingly delicious combination, and I love my personal creations too! The only thing I will note is that it felt dirtier inside than I remembered it being and seemed to be in need a deep clean, especially in the bathroom. The service was also not as welcoming as it used to be (calling you ninjas enthusiastically upon arrival, etc.), but maybe it was an off day. Stopped in an hour before closing with Nancy - looking for some great sushi, but the chefs work stations were a disaster. Lots of empty containers and food pieces left on the counter from the last rush. There were three staff members behind the counter,at least one of them could have tidyied up a bit for the next group of customers arrived. I get the Panda Express, Chipotle vibe from this restaurant chain. Not saying that it's not good it's just not the typical sit-down sushi restaurant we usually go for. The restaurant does not offer a lot of seating but there is enough space for several two tops and possibly a four if you squeeze in a bit. I get the feeling most of their customers opt for takeout. We ended up leaving as we were placing our order at the kiosk once we seen how dirty the work stations were. I had never had mango in my sushi but it does something different . I also tried one of their signature rolls. The lava burst was so so good. Omg. The Krab, cream cheese and cucumber paired very well together. It was sweet but also had a bit of heat. The spicy mayo and chilli powder adds the perfect amount of spice. The service was nice. Pros: The ambiance is very fun. People yelling at you as you enter the restaurant and people yelling for you when they blowtorch your cheese. Service is always ok. Love this place and the food is always tasty. Have tried almost the whole menu and have enjoyed everything.But as someone who has eaten here for 5 years, I am sad to see the portions size shrink for a lot of the items and especially the bowls. Still would suggest this place but I will just be eating here a bit less till portion sizes are back to what they were in 2021. I had an order issue here and went through customer service who offered me a full remake of the order that was made wrong. When showing up to receive the full remake it's not in the system and then when they do track it down in the system. I'm being told it's just one part of the order that's being remade. So I drove 20 minutes out the way under the impression I was getting my order remade only to get here and find out that it's not at all what was offered. Sus Hi Eatstation has a bunch of locations in Orlando. This one near UCF is doing a bang up job serving a variety of foodie diets. I wish I knew how to pronounce the name though. Is it Soo-shee? Soos-Hi? Suss-Hi? Maybe Kim Basinger can help with that. I love the fact they have brown rice! More people need to do this (I'm talking to you, Moe). You can order through their kiosk (and I assume App) and let me warn you, it's a process. There are so many options but they are all clearly defined. It's one of the best POS (Point of Sale, not Piece of S#!+) systems I've seen for ordering. I always build my own and never noticed if they had some pre-made ones too. They also have these sushi burritos which you can get deep fried and are off the chain delicious and unhealthy. They're customizable too with picking the fillings you want and all that jazz. Nice! They have vegan options including vegan white sauce and plenty of other choices too. They also have cooked chicken too so if you're with a little one, get them chicken, cheese and rice or some BS thing like that so they never grow up. I wish It was closer to me an I literally drive by 3 Taco Bells and a Del Taco to get here, but sometimes, I'll go here. The only reason it's not 5 stars is our visit to the Chickasaw location was one of the best counter service experiences I've ever had in my life. Serial! The best way to describe this place is customizable flavor combinations! The flavors you can combine is so much varied. The flavors are so bold and tasty. We got the edamame with Garlic Parmesan, Loaded Rice Tots, Kickin Chicken Burrito and Creamy Shrimp & Krab Chilled Noodle Bowl. The tots were so good!!! My wife asked them to swap out the spicy krab in the bowl to regular krab but they added both. Luckily the spicy krab wasn't spicy. I asked them to deep fry my burrito but they didn't. So I give marks off for that but everything tasted so wonderful. My wife said it was the best thing she ate all week and it was full of flavor. I loved the burrito and it's so filling. I had to eat it in two sittings. The edamame was also so flavorful. Once you get down to the bottom it got salty. I also tried all of their sauces. My favorites were the sweet soy, mandarin ginger sesame and sweet chili. The restaurant is nice and feels like a Chipotle. Overall we would definitely go back!!! This is my FAVORITE place for sushi. I don't get it anywhere else, never have. The food has always been fresh and a great quality, the portions generous and if the chefs make a mistake they would fix it with a coupon. That's only happened once but it much appreciated. Recently they've gotten a lot of new workers in the last few months but the quality & quantity of what I order is inconsistent. I'm missing ingredients that cost extra or the amount is too little and sometimes the sauce isn't added. My mom ordered a small custom bowl and the amount of ingredients was pathetic despite me adding so much of it on the mobile order. Today she didn't even have rice in her brown rice/ lettuce sushi bowl. I still want to give Sus Hi a second chance, they've delivered greatly up until this year and I can't just cold Turkey. Inside of it, I included many different ingredients to essentially make it a poke bowl but in a burrito shell. I wish the burrito was just a little bit larger though. I have to know because I'm actually confused. Is this the actual standard for a small bowl? I've ordered from this exact location for pick up, I've ordered in person multiple times before. Tonight I had to DoorDash because I cannot drive after a medical procedure. If you're not a sushi person that's perfectly fine because there are steak, grilled chicken and tempura options as well. I had the custom made Fried Burrito and it was heavenly. I personally ordered the sauce an the side but it can be added inside too. I tried the Triple X sauce which was a perfect combination of sweet & spicy. The sauces are so good that you can even buy bottles of them right there for $6. Which is totally worth it. This was my first time here and I loved how they were with Covid-19 precautions. They only allow 18 occupants (obviously a small place) at a time when it can clearly hold around 30 people.
