There was no line when I stopped by. Now I understand why.

I had a few minutes before my movie and figured it would be a good opportunity to try this place. Long story short, it was my last time. I had their #1 Favorite (their words) Taraki Chicken over rice with vegetables. There was plenty of bulk for the money, mainly rice, a healthy portion of limp veggies, and some chicken pieces. The chicken was covered with a bland, oily sauce that might have been taraki. I wound up eating most of the chicken and some of the veggies and tossing the rest.

A cheap quick eat in Tyson's corner. Very filling. Nothing spectacular but definitely something to consider if you're on the go. Majority of the food was rice, but they do give a pretty good amount of chicken.

It's a quick and simple bite type of place. The service from the cashier is always pleasant. The food is decent for what you get! I got the chicken and shrimp with rice and noodles. The noodles could use a bit more flavor.

Not sure why people are complaining so much about the food here - it's literally mall food, HAHA. CHICKEN TERIYAKI - 8.99 Because they make it fresh for you, you have to wait about 10-15 minutes for your food to be prepared. The chicken was stir-fried well and I enjoyed the teriyaki glaze. The veggies were OK and I love veggies to begin with, so no complaints. Broccoli and cabbage tend to be boring in comparison to the very flavorful chicken. I like that they give you a good amount of chicken here. Still thought that there was too much rice, but hey that's OK. They also give you this creamy pink sauce on the side which I didn't try because I had no idea what it was and it looked sus. For mall food and how much I paid for the quantity was phenomenal especially for 2022 pricing. If I ever eat at Tyson's Corner again, I'd probably try other venues before circling back but their CHICKEN TERIYAKI here is quite good for mall food and again, made fresh.

Service with a smile but low quality food; I ordered the shrimp bento box. It should be more accurately described as sad shrimps on a bed of rice, with some veggie on the side. Hardly a bento at all (even if by American definition). For that, I had to wait 20 minutes, at 8:45 pm on a Monday night when the food court was not busy at all. It's basically low quality Chinese food. They should not use the word bento. The food court itself can be pleasant. Quality of food needs work.

Bland and skimp would describe this order. I ordered the chicken teriyaki over steamed rice with vegetables. It's little pieces of chicken with barely any flavor, little to no teriyaki sauce over a large bed of rice. Not to mention the vegetables were mostly cabbage with 4-5 pieces of broccoli. The pink sauce tastes like extremely watered down... mayo? I don't know how to describe it, but don't want to take another taste at the moment as it's not even worth it. I've tried the same order in a number of malls elsewhere but will not want to try this one again.

The veggies are great and the bite size pieces of teriyaki chicken is perfect for an elderly senior like me.

I believe the avocado being unripe was an isolated event because after everything that happened with my previous order, the manger gave me a gift card to come back and rectify the situation. So my husband and I went back on a random day and we loved it. The ambiance is really cool, very nice vibe on the balcony. You can see the chefs from above & I really liked that. So it went like this: I was upset, rightfully so, then complained, the assistant manager and manger took me seriously and they recognized the issue right away & made it right! I will definitely give this place another try & come back for that fatty salmon. Thank you for taking your customer complaints seriously, it speaks volumes for a business to care.

The location is tucker at the corner of a busy plaza so I never noticed it before. It also looks really small from the outside but it's actually got a lot of seating and even had a loft! Their lunch menu seemed good so I got the beef sukiyaki bento box--soo tasty and satisfying! I used to work at a Japanese (corporate) owned restaurant back in college and this was my favorite lunch item. The flavors are similar! Their service is great also. The server remembers me (rare these days!) and they were all very attentive. If you enjoy open kitchens, sitting on the second floor allows you to watch the sushi chefs filet and make rolls. It's quite entertaining! Will be back for more happy hour :) The happy food portions are great (full size) and very tasty. Love the karaage

The food was amazing. We ordered off of the special menu. We ordered the Alaska salmon roll and the black snapper sushi. The black snapper sushi was a little salty but had great flavor. We came here for a family birthday celebration because that's what the birthday person chose, lol…read more We were a party of seven, and it was fairly busy for a Tuesday night. FOOD: The menu is pretty straightforward. You order your entrée, and you can get a single protein or a combination of proteins. Choices include chicken, beef, tofu, shrimp, or salmon. Everything comes with an appetizer choice of mushrooms or chicken livers, and then you have a choice of steamed white rice or fried rice, and your meal is also accompanied by a miso soup and a salad with a ginger dressing. You are also given two different sauces to dip your food in, should you so desire: one is a ginger sauce, and the other is a special sauce - that's what they call it - and I'm not really sure what's in it, but it's kind of like an Asian inspired thousand island sauce is the best way to describe it. SERVICE: Our server, Rose, was the bees' knees!!! Our chef was great too & I don't know his name, but he was a little less lively than others, but I think that's because we were a bunch of adults only lol. AMBIANCE: All in all, everything was great, and our party enjoyed their meals. I personally thought everything kind of tasted the same. Not a place I would frequent, and it is kind of expensive, but you do get a lot for what you pay for, and it is definitely a fun place to go to for a celebratory occasion. Keep in mind the tables are in a U shape, so it's really hard to be present with your entire party, and whatever side you're on, you feel like you're on your own little island, which is a little disappointing for a birthday celebration, but we still had fun and made it work the best we could. The restaurant was clean, but you felt like you're going back in time. The ambience was casual yet very lively and fun. 3/1/26

I'd recommend getting the chili oil to complete the taste if you are ok with a little spicy. The marinated beef was cooked to perfection in the Sukiyaki. I also tried their seaweed salad which tasted fresh and had the right amount of seasoning. And their Takoyaki was cooked perfectly and had a good amount of octopus inside. Restaurant inside is bit on the small side but they do have bar counter-style seating too. Tables have been on the cleaner side compared to other restaurants of this price range. Parking is easy too, being a large shared parking lot. Service has been good both times I went with attentive staff and they also know when to leave you alone.

If you come to Kajiken expecting a traditional steaming bowl of ramen, recalibrate. This is abura…read moresoba country -- and they do it exceptionally well. For the uninitiated, abura soba is a brothless ramen where the magic happens at the bottom of the bowl. A savory aromatic oil and tare base sit beneath springy, chewy noodles, topped with a silky poached egg and classic ramen accoutrements. The key is to mix thoroughly -- really commit -- until the egg emulsifies with the oil and sauce, coating every strand in glossy, umami-packed richness. The texture is the standout. The noodles have a satisfying chew that holds up against the weight of the oil without becoming heavy. It's indulgent but not cloying. The customization element elevates the experience: a drizzle of chili oil adds warmth and depth, while a splash of vinegar cuts through the richness with bright acidity. Dial it in to your preference and the bowl transforms in real time. If you're a fan of Chinese scallion oil noodles or Korean jajangmyeon, you'll recognize the comfort-food DNA here -- but abura soba feels more refined and layered. The flavor is concentrated, savory, and deeply satisfying without relying on broth. This is the kind of spot that knows exactly what it is and executes with confidence. A refreshing change from the ramen norm and absolutely worth the visit. Bonus points for the casual kid friendly atmosphere and also offering traditional soup ramen and donburi for less adventurous dining companions.

For a sushi or bento box meal, a good miso soup is a must. *The box was tiny: I expect to be full when I consume a bento box. They should serve a single cup size for solo diners or for a party of 2. I got an eel avocado roll to be full after finishing my bento box.
