    Benton's Sugar Shack

This is a super cute spot that is so New Englandy, on a tiny Main Street. Our breakfast was delicious and we were full upon leaving. Pancakes were yummy, home fries were delish, pancakes were wonderful, Bacon nice and crisp. I wasn't a fan of the french toast only b/c it's very thick and I like thinner bread for mine. I got a dish that had both french toast and a pancake on it. The warm Maple Syrup was the absolute best ever, so so good. My only complaint was the coffee was weak, like an ultra light brew, and we were never offered refills, we found that odd. We arrived about 1pm so we had no waiting at all. Sat right down. The gift shop is very cute. We will be back for sure, prices are good and food is delicious.

Carmen, our server today was totally awesome! This is a big weekend for them and she was easily one of best servers I've ever encountered. We got there early, wanting to get a jump on our day. I had a cheese omelette with onion filled seasoned home fries and homemade toast. Wayne, in a surprise move, went for cinnamon raisin French toast with their maple syrup - soooo good! Bonus - we have enough for tomorrow.

Welcome to maple sugar country! You're going to love this breakfast spot!

Oh my goodness! This place was such a treasure to find. I knew it must be great when we saw the line outside. Don't let it's small size fool you; it's big on taste. Very charming in that rustic style; totally New England. The staff were all friendly and friendly kind. The food was incredible! A good variety to choose from, large sized portions and very reasonably priced. They even have an adorable gift shop. My only complaint is that I don't live close enough to try other items on their menu. Definitely GO! You won't regret it.

Yum! I love breakfast in Benton's was wonderful. Our server was great- I believe her name was Christina, our order came out correct and fast. And the rustic decor really made the place feel cozy. We started with a little breakfast appetizer with the maple, glazed cinnamon bun, and it was incredible, don't pass this up if it's on the menu ! The rest of my family really enjoyed everything they ordered, if we are ever in the area, we will be coming back for sure. The only thing I really did question was the paper plates, cutlery, and drink wear. It seems like it causes a lot of waste.

Another absolute score! The best maple syrup in existence! Served warm! Amazing pancakes, home fries, and sausages! It was all truly impressive! The service was equally outstanding, and the rustic decor was very comforting. Stop in the store on your way out and pick up some of their homemade syrup!

The Highlight is Banana Bread French Toast

Good Breakfast, tons of options but the absolute highlight is the Banana Bread French Toast, if you are in White Mountains, it's worth the drive and the Wait!

Amazing! So kind and accommodating. Great hangover food, very comforting meal. Would definitely go back. Get the home fries with the onions.

I absolutely loved this place! It has such a cozy, warm vibe and fantastic breakfast options and the service was awesome! I had blueberry pancakes, bacon, home fries, and two fried eggs--everything was delicious! The home fries were the best I've ever had, and their homemade maple syrup, served warm, was absolutely out of this world. A must-visit spot! And yes, we purchased a bottle of their maple syrup to take home!!!

We went here for breakfast on the recommendation of a friend on the way to a hike. We arrived around 9:30am on a Saturday morning and only had to wait about 5 min. There is a bench inside the door in small gift shop area. Imagine our surprise when we left about an hour later and there were dozens of people waiting outside! There are multiple parking lots available. What a spread for breakfast. I got the Shack Stack and my husband had the Sugar Maker. We both got berries in our pancake, so good. Hash browns come with or without onions (which were delicious!) The portions were enormous and amazing! I made a valiant attempt but could not finish it all. I took some French toast and ham to go and ate as a snack while hiking. (I usually get wheat toast but in hindsight might have enjoyed white better for French toast.) The salt and "peppa" shakers were adorable mini maple syrup bottles. I was surprised that everything was disposable (cups, plates, silverware). I understand this makes for easy cleanup but was a little disappointed in the environmental aspect. Otherwise, everything else was great - service was fast and friendly. You can get some syrup or jam from the gift shop to bring a taste home with you. Just make sure to get there early. :)

My first time here and we picked the wrong time to go! It was in our weekend ladies getaway plan to visit on Saturday (11/2/24) and on Friday WMUR announced their results of the best pancakes in NH and Benton's was #1! So it was packed. The Shack is somewhat small with a very limited waiting area. But there is a quaint little gift shop we were able to peruse while waiting. Once seated our waitress Linda, was quick to bring coffee and was so friendly and helpful. Our food was served quickly and everything was delicious!

Visited on the Sunday after 4th of July and our party of 2 got a table right away at 7:45. It got busier after 8. Christina was an amazing server and made good recommendations. We tried the berry pancakes (with amazing sausage) and banana bread French toast which was to die for!

A really great place for breakfast. Meals are served on paper plates and coffee in paper cups.

Nice location and…read morebeautiful, historical train wagon restaurant that has moved towns and locations a few times throughout the years, and has now been in Lincoln since 2025. There weren't many people lined up, but we still ended up waiting about 30 min for a table. This seems to be caused by a lack of staff - we noticed tables weren't being cleaned up for a good 10-15 min after people left, and waitresses were rushing around. Honestly from what we observed - they could slash their waiting time by half by being more efficient and/or hiring busboys. But moving on. Food was definitely worth the wait! Boyfriend and I both had the "Cadillac" breakfast (because, well, our car) and we both loved it. He had pancakes with it and I had French toast - I *loved* the French toast. Delicious. Boyfriend also had a side of corned beef hash and I had a bite - it was my first time trying corned beef and I liked it a lot! He liked it too, and says he's usually picky with that dish, so... Overall we would return! Food was great and service was super friendly.
