Not quite the warm hug of a family-owned neighborhood gem. I was concerned. Then the bowl arrived. Ordered the Vervacious Bowl (Large, obviously -- I refuse to learn). And I LOVED it. Generous toppings. Not a sprinkle situation. A commitment. Peanut butter and açaí together? That combo continues to be undefeated. Jordan & Pippen. PB & Açaí. Some partnerships just work. Ingredients were fresh. Clean. Post-meal feeling? Light, energized, no regrets. That matters. Now for the structural critique. Why are we still building bowls vertically like we're constructing a downtown condo tower? These tall bowls make mixing a tactical challenge. I ordered the omelette- and because she is so busy, it seems to have been left on the burner too long- dried up, slightly burned, and flavorless. She is awesome, but my food was almost inedible. I ate it, though, so moving on. The place is organic and follows suit with decor- very simple and comfy. Clean enough- but my plastic fork bent in half trying to cut through the hard omelette- really wish they had real silverware. I hope they make it, because they seem to have a few GF dishes!
