(TLDR at the bottom) So I brought my car here because it was close and had good yelp reviews. Boy was it a mistake. I was in an accident and the front right of my car needed all new suspension. My car was there for 3 weeks before I started calling twice a week. Every time I called there was never a clear answer on a timeline, and half the time the guy at the desk said "I'll call you back later" and never called back. After many calls and after my car had been there exactly 6 weeks he answers the phone and says "oh yeah your car is done I was just about to call you" (seemed like a lie) then he says "we are having an issue with the brakes, the pedal goes straight to the floor. I can do you a favor and do pads and rotors for $650". I knew I didn't need pads and rotors so I took it to a different shop. And they replaced the caliper on the front right and lo and behold it fixed the issue. It was most likely damaged in the accident or somehow ruined while in that shop. Had they stopped to actually diagnose the issue rather than sell me on pads and rotors (which would've cost more after that didn't fix the issue) insurance would have covered it. And if it was damaged in the accident and I wouldn't have had to pay $260 to another mechanic. After bringing it to the trusted mechanic he told me I needed an alignment because it was never done at the collision shop. Even though an alignment was on the invoice. When I called to set up the alignment (that they never did) I was told I would get a call back and I did not get a call back. AGAIN with this. So then I called the next day and had to speak to someone else clearly did not care about the customer service. She was very rude when I told her I never got an alignment and how they should've diagnosed my brakes correctly. Eventually I get my car back and get an apology after this whole thing. But here I am still out $260. TLDR Took my car here, took 6 weeks and they were being sketchy/unclear about a timeline. Eventually called and all of a sudden my car was done but they tried to sell me pads and rotors I didn't need. Took it to another shop and it only needed a caliper that was damaged either from the accident or the shop. Then I took it back to Berkley collision because they never did the alignment that they put on the invoice. read more

After an unfortunate run in with what I think was a boulder, I needed collision repair on my car. I read all the reviews for shops in the area near my workplace and decided that Berkley Collision looked like the best bet. I took in the estimate that the insurance company gave me. Dave came out and and looked at the damage. He tried very hard to give me an estimate that was less than the insurance company's, and he was dismayed that it was only $50 less. But, as he explained, since it's a new car, he didn't want to skimp on parts, and I agreed. When I originally asked how long it would take for the repair, he told me it would be about 3 days, once the parts came in. That was perfect, as it was at a time when I was leaving town & wouldn't need it anyhow. When I took it in on a Thursday morning, Dave at first said that it would now be a week, but while we were on our way home, he called at around 4:15 on Monday afternoon to say it was done. I was so pleased to see that the car looked brand new again -- no more crumpled tire rim or front area. And I believe they cleaned the inside of the car as well, as it smelled fresh and some of the papers I had were in a different place. Add me to the list of people who say that Berkley Collision does good work. I hope I never need their services again, but I will certainly recommend them! read more

I write few reviews but when I am impressed by a small business owner, I just have to share. You have to be very careful when selection a collision shop so I work off of referrals only. I was referred to the owner "Dave" of Berkley Collision. I had a lease to turn in and had side-swiped a parking garage cement guard. Ended up denting my door, handle, quarter-panel pretty bad. Dave inspected it and came up with a plan that would pass the lease turn in requirements that was less expensive than a traditional repair. So I opted to pay out of pocket vs an insurance claim. Well Dave did it in the promised time frame, so I did not miss my turn in due date, and did it $400 cheaper than the estimate. Wow! Very friendly service, professional, honest, and helped me achieve my goal affordable. Yes there is still honesty in the world. If you need collision work, I highly recommend. read more

I've used this shop multiple times for both little and big fixes. When I needed $4K worth of body work done, they took great care of me and handled everything with the insurance. When I needed my brakes fixed they were fair, prompt, and not at all pushy. Today I took my car in for what I thought was going to be a much more serious issue and they took care of me, yet again. As a 20 something single female, I never feel like I'm being jerked around or overcharged. They keep you in the loop during the initial quote and as your car is being repaired. This is the worst experience I have had dealing with a body or car repair shop. I brought my car in for a simple fix to replace something which they did do but they returned my car with a dent and scrape on the front left corner of my car. They even tried covering it up with white paint. They are denying that they did any damage to my car and won't fix it unless I pay to fix it. The man I dealt with was extremely rude and unhelpful and I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

We picked up the van and the next day opened the back to load things, only to find a big mess. Had a head-on accident and they fixed the external damage but never took off the tires to check for under-bumper or frame-work damage. (I know this, because my tires require a key and even I had no idea where we had stored the keys.) Took it back two more times with front-end noises and was told that my 2017 (it is 2018 right now) Escape was getting older and a small car and that these noises are normal. I had NO noises prior to my accident too. I ended up having to take it to RO Ford and they found the damage after removing the tires. Fortunately my insurance company (Cimcinnati Insurance) stood behind me as their customer and had Ford finish the job properly. No more noise now, thanks to RO Ford. read more

I was afraid that these repairs would not go smoothly. I was so wrong! These guys walked me thru the process, and helped guide me thru everything... and, they were even patient with me while I asked a million questions!
