Berlina Cafe is located right across the street from the Holiday Inn where I was staying. They have a large menu, from pizzas, to burgers, bagels, waffles, smoothies, etc... To be honest, I only stopped by here, because of convenience, I was hungry, and tired of walking, and my room was easily accessible. None of the pizzas looked like my pick. I went for the pepperoni with sausage. I also got a Diet Coke, I reached as far as I could to get a bottle from the back. This pizza was just ok. It was very greasy, the crust was thin, but, not charred, or particularly tasty. It'll be ok if you're very hungry, but nothing memorable, or worth coming back for. Believe it or not my Coke was also a disappointment. It wasn't cold at all, despite me reaching for the one from the back. Maybe some of their other options are better than the pizza. read more

Insane to think I've seen what just happened in NY of all places. There was an Asian gentleman in front of us picking up his food. I visited Berlina Cafe on Friday, 2/23/24, in the morning time. I decided to order the Meat Lover's Omelette. It was interesting that it didn't include cheese so I added American Cheese. The omelette was underwhelming in taste and did not meet expectations. Also, the toast placed on top had gotten a tad soggy. Besides the omelette, I got the Strawberry Banana smoothie. The smoothie was extremely delicious and blended to perfection. Having this beverage made up for the dissatisfaction with the breakfast meal. The workers inside this establishment were beyond friendly and inviting. I also appreciated the quick service. Extremely rude personnel from cashier to cook. When ordering sandwich asked the cook for cheese on half my sandwich he said no. We ordered a beer and cashier was very rude and yelled at my boyfriend which kind he wanted. When he raised his voice back she calmed down. Nice folks at the counter, but the pizza was not really that good. We did the taste test on our last night of Berlina Cafe vs Upside Pizza across the street. Upside was the clear winner. The crust on the Berlina Cafe pizza wasn't really crispy, and it was just super generic tasting. Next time I'm up for late night pizza I'll probably just go across the street. read more

We have eaten here twice while in NYC. It is close to our hotel. They sell pizza by the slice and make sandwiches. Overall it was decent, but the sandwiches were light on the meat and they forgot cheese on one. Prices are more expensive but in line with location. Berlina is a nice little corner café that has really good sandwiches. I can't have the pizza due to my affliction but I can have some of the other stuff I had the chicken club sandwich, fresh tasty. I had to wait another 10min. at the store. There's no point to pre-order. For my second time, I went to order at the store and had to wait a long time there again too. Customers who placed their orders after me, waffles, sandwiches, etc. got their orders before me. I tried to wait patiently, as I understand the morning can be busy, but it doesn't make sense to me when multiple customers got their food before I did when I ordered before them.
