One of the better bagels in Manhattan in my opinion. They cook them fresh here and you can see them pulling them out of the oven. Everything vegetables are perfectly seasoned with just enough salt. Many different spreads and toppings and they do lunch here as well. Great offering in Midtown Manhattan around Time Square.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and I am so glad they did. I had a breakfast special with a hot coffee. My bagel was delicious! The employees seem to love their jobs because they were so friendly and made the food with extra flips and tricks. It was hard to leave because it was fun watching them. I will be back to try their oatmeal and other yummy treats.

I ordered a to-go bagel from Bagel Market at around 7 AM on a Sunday, and I was really impressed with how smooth the whole process was, considering how early it was and how busy NYC breakfast spots can be! I even saw them making the display food for the cases. The rainbow bagel was fresh and tasty, and everything was packaged nicely for takeaway. I didn't have to wait long at all for a 5+ order, which made grabbing breakfast on the go super easy. They also had a great selection of coffee and tea. I picked up an almond milk latte that was tasty too.

When in New York City, no visit to the biggest city in America is complete without a trip to a local bagel shop. There are a TON of amazing bagel shops here ("Russ & Daughters", "Ess-A-Bagel", etc.), I decided to check out "Bagel Market" at their Times Square location. This is one of five stores with the other 4 also being in Lower Manhattan. Situated at the corner of W. 40th St and adjacent to 8th Ave. in the heart of Midtown/Times Square, this Bagel Market has been operating since the summer of 2022. As I previously mentioned, there are so many other bagel shops in NYC but this one was convenient as it worked with our busy itinerary. I came here during the morning of Saturday 10/11/2025 at around 11:30am. Since this is a heavily traveled area, it can get busy at any given time; especially during the morning hours when people need that bagel fix. Luckily, they have very generous hours of operation being open 7 days a week from 6am-9pm. I will say that the interior layout of this place is surprisingly large as they offer plenty of seating throughout. They even offer overflow seating upstairs which is what we did to fully enjoy our experience at this place. The digital menu boards are well-lit and very easy to read. In addition to their very extensive bagel and spread options (the possibilities are endless with hundreds of customizable creations), they offer salads, bowls, sandwiches, omelets, egg platters, and much more. They also carry a respectable amount of baked goods as well as hot/iced coffee and espresso beverages. I ended up getting the "Everything Bagel w/Cream Cheese". I know it is a simple item but I truly wanted to taste the bagel as they are hand-rolled and kettle-boiled to give you that true taste of New York City. Service here was fast, efficient, and accurate as my bagel felt like it weighed nearly a pound! After making the short walk to the upstairs dining area, I unwrapped to what looked like a monstrosity of a bagel. This thing was fully loaded and my first bite was a taste of heaven. Keep in mind that I am from California where bagels are just so-so; the texture, flavor, and consistency with the bagels on the east coast are miles ahead of what I've eaten before. I will say that these bagels are huge and can easily fill up two adults. All in all, "Bagel Market" was a slam dunk for me. For this being a very busy location (it is Times Square, NY after all), the service felt as if I was in a much more remote area. With excellent customer service, reasonable prices (my bagel w/double-whipped cream cheese was only $6), generous seating throughout, and an experience I will never forget, I am giving the Times Square Bagel Market a perfect five stars.

*Rating their bagel rolling class* *Yelp event* Highly recommend this experience!! So unique and a very New York thing to do!! It is pretty pricey $$ but if you're celebrating a special occasion, I feel like this would be super fun to do! Learned so much from the experience from the production to the history of bagels and the guides were very very informed + passionate about bagels. The class is also very well organized and includes a kitchen tour! You also get to eat the bagels you make and take them home!!

OMG I just had the BEST bagel sandwich I've ever had in my whole life!! This place is amazing, delicious, and operates like a well oiled machine. Their menu is expansive. I could have eaten here for every meal the entire time I was in NY. Our hotel was right down the street and I wish we'd found this place sooner as our flight home is today. I will definitely eat here every time I'm in NYC. The staff was nice, the line moved quickly, our food was hot and fresh. They have many grab and go drink options and some snack items. They had a big seating area which I really appreciate. It was clean too, which is super impressive as busy as the place was. Definitely do not miss out on this place.

Ambiance: A lot of space has an upstairs area to eat. Good space where you can get your work done or chit chat with a big group Service: good service Food $: so many bagel options and they give a huge amount of cream cheese Audience: Solo Trip [X] Family Friendly [ X] Friends [X] Date Spot [ ] Recommendations/tips: I recommend this spot!

Ugh, just another mediocre bagel in NYC yet again. The quest continues to find my goat. Proportions on the bagel were bad, and bacon tasted old. Bagel itself was chewy and flavorless.

DELICIOUS!! The fresh squeezed juice is incredible and the bagels were to die for. Lots of cream cheese options as well as bagel options. A nice place to sit upstairs and the service was amazing for how busy it was!

We started close by, so had the opportunity to try Bagel Market a few times during our stay. We had: - Plain bagel with plain cream cheese - Everything bagel with plain cream cheese - Plain bagel with fried egg - Plain bagel with scrambled egg and cheddar - Double chocolate chip muffin Everything was fresh and delicious! The highlight was the cream cheese - very tasty. The lowlight was the muffin - super stale.

Went to grab a bite as it was next door to Porth Authority the bus terminal and employee were very nice and sweet but OMG insane how busy it was . Also so much bagels and cream cheeses choices almost got lost in the menu lol but Definitely a good spot to start a day we'll in the big Apple . Without forgetting to Mention how huge the bagels are compared to Montreal's one where I'm from . Yo sit there they also got couples tables at the Ground Floor and a second floor with even more tables . very well Organized

Quick service - Great bagel with lox schmear, exactly what you'd expect from any NY bagel joint!

Fast, inexpensive and great food. Where else could I get a tasty Breakfast for four for under $30. We grabbed bagels and coffee/tea. Perfectly toasted many options for cream cheese. It's also only a hop skip and a jump from time square. It was busy counter service but also had a lot of seating if you wanted to stay and eat. overall great location, great value and great Bagels!

Think vintage wallpaper, little knick-knacks, and warm lighting. It's got character. I ordered the market salad with mixed greens, honeycrisp apples, goat cheese, candied pecans, and sherry vinaigrette. It was a hearty portion - super fresh and flavorful, and honestly more than I could finish (not a complaint!). I also ordered a Diet Pepsi with grenadine; they don't carry Diet Coke, which I almost docked a point for, but the mix was unexpectedly delicious. Highly recommend it. My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water.
