I had a delicious, balsamic grilled chicken breast sandwich here. The chicken was very fresh and flavorful, and they served it with housemaid potato chips. Friends ordered a chicken pot, pie, and turkey, salad, and a burger. It is an unassuming place, but has great prices and very tasty food. What I really liked was the range of offerings. They had veggie items, lots of salads and grilled chicken, as well as classic fair. The waitress was OK but not the best. When I'm in the area, I will come back. Parking is free but mainly parallel parking.

I like this place alot however the decor is a little outdated. The ambiance is that of a busy cafe. Many folks in and out. It is a winner every time and I will continue to go back. The servers are ok nothing fancy and service was basic. Food was good and cooked to my liking.

This place is quite the gem. First time here and I would come again. They had a decent selection on their menu with solid choices. They have outdoor seating as well. The staff was nice and service was quick. I had the cheesesteak and it was excellent. Soooo cheesy. Just look at the pictures!!!! My gosh. My wife had an asparagus, prosciutto and fontina cheese omelet and said it was delicious. I would keep trying something different on the menu each time I go. Definitely a great recommendation if anyone is ever in the area.

Over priced for what you get. I ordered a ham and swiss sub for delivery and there was no cheese on the sub.

Service was excellent. Old school diner servers with personality and the ability to have fun with their customers. Being Polish it was a surprise to find potato pancakes, kielbasa, and pierogi on the menu. We shared the potato pancake platter and the 2 eggs platter. Added side of scrapple. Where do I start? The potato pancakes were moist, sweet and full of fresh herbs. Definitely better than I ever made. You can choose sour cream or applesauce. I ordered the eggs over medium and they were cooked perfectly. The only thing is that they come with hash browns and toast. The only substitution for the hash browns was French fries. No fruit or vegetables. The reason we shared was because the egg and potato pancake platter with meat was only offered with bacon or sausage. I wanted scrapple. No complaints on any of the food at the table. It was a random stop but I definitely recommend if you're in the area.

The service was good but the food was mediocre at best. The stuffed peppers were overcooked and soft and tasteless. The chicken wrap was a bit better but didn't have much flavor either. The french fries that came with the wrap were quite good as was the apple pie for dessert. The broccoli that came with the peppers was overcooked. My recommendation for anyone who cares to try this restaurant is to keep it simple. Hamburgers, maybe a sandwich, but I would avoid anything that requires real cooking.

As a…read morefellow small business owner, I couldn't help but feel that they had been judged more harshly than they deserved. I know firsthand how damaging online reviews can be--especially when they're written by people who may not have experienced the business fairly or are frustrated over unrelated issues. I recently had the opportunity to work with Janet and her team to help develop a bar menu and train members of the staff. From the moment I arrived until the time I left, everyone was welcoming, professional, and genuinely appreciative. The entire staff was eager to learn, worked hard, and created a great atmosphere throughout the training. Afterward, they kindly treated me to lunch, and I can honestly say the food was outstanding. Everything was fresh, delicious, and served with the same hospitality they showed me all day. My experience at Sterling House Diner was nothing short of excellent. I believe businesses should be judged by real experiences, and mine was outstanding. I highly recommend stopping in, enjoying a meal, and supporting a local business that clearly cares about its customers and its staff.

The cheesesteak was 3 stars at best. The bread was dry, and the mushrooms and onions were minimal. The beef was tender, so that was a plus. Now for Mama's Meatballs. The description states that it comes with marinara sauce and cheese on toasted Italian bread. Since it was an appetizer, I assumed we would get 4 meatballs with marinara, topped with cheese, and a side of toasted Italian bread slices to dip. It was basically a meatball sub with cheese. The meatballs tasted like Chef Boyardee, truly!!! To top it off, some of the meatballs were raw. They had green peppers in them as well. We ended up not eating them.

I gave away the bananas. The guac was very flavorful - a tad too sour but still very good. The side of broccoli was done perfectly with a bit of flavor and some crunch. The spinach however was maybe the best I've had. Not sure how they made it so good but wasn't simply with garlic. I had a piece of the branzino and thought it was also tasty with a nice fried crunch. The iced tea was perfectly caffeinated but maybe a tad small. It is supposedly unlimited but I didn't take advantage of that. The restrooms were also clean. I just wish they had some lounge chairs in there. Service was fast and diner style. Get what you need and get out of there. No one was rude, but no one was overly friendly. They all did their job and a 20% tip was automatically included. No concerns but thought it would be worth highlighting.
