Not great. Did it on a stop passing through on the pch. I wouldn't try again. Not good quality cuts and flavorless. Overall disappointing.

We made reservations to dine inside and the food was great. Big portions so we all had leftovers to take home. The service was great and the property feels like you're so far into the mountains. We had great music provided by local musicians, who play for tips so if you want to support them, bring cash! I would come again but this time dine outside and so I can sit under the trees and watch the beautiful peacocks. They have tons of outside seating. We had sourdough bread, broccoli salad, wine, brown ale, half chicken with salad and loaded bake potatoe, fish special, and bone in steak with salad and bake potatoes. We finished it off with mixed berry cobbler and chocolate lava cake. Delicious!

However, we were surprised by the pricing for what is essentially a takeout operation: $28 for a steak sandwich, $24 for a chicken sandwich, $24 for a breakfast burrito, $17 for bread and butter, and $9 for a cookie--all with a required 18% gratuity. We hoped the quality of the food would justify the cost, but unfortunately, it did not. After waiting a long time for our order, we finally sat down to eat, only to be very disappointed. * The Fries: These were thick, over-seasoned, and over-fried potato wedges. * The Steak Sandwich: Consisting only of steak and onion, it was incredibly dry and unappealing. * The Burrito: Entirely bland and lacked flavor with eggs and over fried bacon bits and potatoes * The Coffee: Even the iced lattes at the coffee shack were bad - tasted very milky with very little espresso and warm. Our mocha latte was horrible as the chocolate powder was not mixed well, clumpy on the bottom of the cup The meal felt greasy and unhealthy, and despite being hungry, we couldn't even finish half of it. The food was absolutely disgusting. We threw everything in the trash bin. I wouldn't recommend this spot and certainly won't be returning. It felt very much like a one time money grab as no one in our family will be revisiting this place. Even Jack in the Box would be better.

Authentic Island Flavors at Luau Grill…read more My wife, our three sons, and I recently stopped by Luau Grill in Thousand Oaks, and it was one of those spots that instantly makes you feel at home. With its true mom and pop shop feel, this place delivers not just on flavor, but on that welcoming, no-frills atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again. Entrées: We ordered the chicken katsu and kalbi short ribs, and both were outstanding. The chicken katsu was perfectly crispy on the outside while staying juicy and tender on the inside, paired with a flavorful sauce that brought everything together. The kalbi short ribs were just as impressive, marinated well with that sweet and savory balance you expect from great Hawaiian BBQ, and cooked to perfection with a nice char. Sides: Each plate came with white rice and macaroni salad, and both hit the mark. The rice was fluffy and a perfect base for the meats, while the macaroni salad was creamy, simple, and exactly what you want alongside a hearty Hawaiian meal. Appetizers: We also grabbed a classic spam musubi, and it did not disappoint. The spam was nicely seared with a slightly sweet glaze, sitting on perfectly seasoned rice and wrapped in seaweed. Simple, but done right. Ambience: The vibe here is as authentic as it gets. It truly feels like a small family-run spot where the focus is on good food and good service rather than anything flashy. That mom and pop atmosphere adds a lot of charm to the overall experience. Overall: Luau Grill is a must-visit if you're in Thousand Oaks and craving authentic Hawaiian food. Dining here with our three sons was easy and enjoyable, and from the quality of the dishes to the welcoming feel of the place, everything comes together for a great experience. Easily one of the best Hawaiian spots around, and definitely somewhere we'll be returning to.

The food is extremely consistent -- which is exactly what you want from a restaurant like this -- and every time I've come in, everything tastes just as good as the last visit. The restaurant itself is immaculately clean, the portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity you're getting. On top of that, the service is excellent. There's a staff member I often see working there who is always attentive, friendly, and makes the experience even better. I also really love seeing Hawaiian culture and beach vibes making their way into Westlake Village -- between this spot and the new Hawaiian coffee shop coming in, it's such a great addition to the area. Highly recommend supporting this place. Easily a 5-star experience, and I hope more people discover it soon.

We ordered the MEGAFEAST, which feeds 12, but since we were having 15 guests, we added a bit more to the order. It truly was a feast, and everything was delicious !! We had Caesar salad, and BTW, they have THE BEST Caesar dressing on this EARTH !! Always have... always will... and I've had a LOT of Caesar dressing in my life to make this proclamation. The order also included their breadsticks, lemon garlic chicken, BBQ tri-trip, tri-tip with pepper gorgonzola sauce, baby back ribs, rigatoni with pesto sauce, mashed potatoes with garlic pieces and cheese, as well as mac 'n cheese. We also added 2 cheese pizzas, and for dessert, we added Stonefire's carrot cake and cheesecake. (Neither the pizza nor desserts were part of the initial order.) All the guests loved the food, and there was enough left over to send "doggie bags" home with everyone. We paid enough to qualify for Stonefire to deliver AND set up the food, which was fabulous. They showed up exactly when we asked. They brought plates, utensils, and LOADS of serving pieces. We wanted for nothing !! I'm not going to lie... it was costly, BUT it was worth it. I had out-of-town family visiting, but thanks to Stonefire, I didn't have to lift a finger or be removed from any festivities because they did it all for us. It was worth EVERY dollar we paid. I'd surely do it again !

I had them with a Dill Margarita and yes sounds weird but it totally is amazing. The cocktails here are always inspired. So glad they found a spot to reopen. It reminds me of their first location, smaller and more mellow. QR code ordering is the easiest I've used. The menu is extensive for a golf course spot. Second visit had the Cali breakfast burrito and from the menu you can modify to your hearts content but I generally just like it however they put it together as they are the pros. But I did add bacon to my cali burrito and added the hot mess option as well. Super good and big burrito. I should have only ate half but it was too good to stop. Food comes out quick and service with a smile and any questions you have answered. I paired it with a bloody Mary and then a Azalea cocktail later. Both amazing! Sorry I forgot to take any pics but honestly it's more about taste than what it looks like here but it looks good I wish I had taken a picture of the ribs at least or the drinks. Oh I had a coffee tequila martini thing which looked amazing and tasted even better. The habanero sauce by the way comes in a small container and it is very hot so you don't need a lot. Service is always great
