Carnitas Tacos & tater tots
Tina K.

Super yummy food truck! I ordered the carnitas tacos & they were phenomenal. Tater tots were crispy & meat was delicious. Staff were easy going & food was on point. The truck is by my work every Friday, definitely a must try.

This is a food truck and the menu tends to vary every few times or so. They come out to Calabasas for the work areas every Wednesdays I think, but don't take my word on that. I have tried the tacos and tater tots here and they are pretty good. I think the food is a bit pricy for what you get, but given how great it taste, I can look the other way.

Rock Chef Rolls made a special burger just for us. Perfect for a fun wedding - our guests LOVED the food!

If you are looking for a unique yet professional food truck to cater your wedding or event - Rock Chef Rolls is it! From the first call to the last, Paula and Alberto (Chef) were amazing to work with. Chef created a personalized menu based on our theme and our personalities and were awesome about working within our budget. They even threw in a few extra "must-have" items like fried candy bars as a pre-wedding cake dessert option. The crew was very professional. I was not expecting tray-passed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres with a "food truck" -- this is an amazing and very personalized catering service that you can't get anywhere else. The food presentation was perfect and fit right in with our theme - they even labeled certain items for like us: "The groom's favorite: burger & fries." But the best thing about Rock Chef Rolls? THE FOOD!! Our guests still talk about the food at our wedding (we were very concerned about not having 'wedding food') - we had professional chefs and a lot of LA "foodies" as guests, and not only were people loving it, they were going back for seconds and thirds! We are so happy with our experience, we've gladly recommended RCR to our other friends who are getting married this summer. THANK YOU Chef & Paula for helping to make our wedding day awesome - RCR was definitely a highlight for us and our guests! Peace, Love & Burgers, C&C Bornacelli

Pulled pork masterpiece with assortment of fried and homemade lemonade and special spicy ketchup!

Wow! This is some seriously awesome and creative food! My co-worker took me to this truck and the word of mouth is true. First off this is one of the nicest and cleanest food trucks I've experienced and no detail was spared. Now to the food... I was conflicted between the jalapeño beef burger and the pulled pork roll (both of which looked amazing), and I ended up with the pork. So mouth watering and tasty with the awesome slaw stacked high and the toasted bun spread thick with garlic aioli sauce. I also did the basket of fried goodness which is a variety of different fried potatoes and one of their organic lemonade's. The line was stacked deep but they were super fast, friendly and clean...not something you always see, especially from a group of tatted up dudes in cut off tee shirts! I'll be following them for more!

Appetizer sampler platter for the bride - they made sure we got to try everything that was served during cocktail hour!

Chef Alberto created a spectacular assortment of tray-passed appetizers for our wedding in Calabasas! From blistered tomato burricotta bruschetta to salty pretzel bites with cheese fondue and pickled jalapeno mac and cheese, rock shrimp gaspacho, and trio of taters with homemade ketchup...everything was amazing, and I know our guests enjoyed them too. The plating and service was top notch and exceeded our expectations. Really appreciated the extra effort for the gluten free guests - they loved the special salmon kale salad and were thankful for a special meal. We were so glad we got to try all of the apps right after our wedding ceremony - we loved the decorated platters for the two of us with a sampler of every appetizer (photo included). Paula and Chef Alberta were both awesome to work with, and we enjoyed building the menu with them! I would happily hire them again for future events.

Rock Chef Rolls blew me away. They catered a weekend event and put together a fantastic menu that fit our crowd to a T. Everyone raved how cool the whole set-up was...it was NOT noisy, quite the opposite, with really great jams playing for our guests. This is not your mama's roach coach, this is fancy schmancy- I-cannot-wait-to-host-another-event-to-have-them...if they'd have us!

I can't believe I let so much time go by before coming back. I was craving tacos on Taco Tuesday…read moreand remembered how much I always enjoyed Los Agaves. I'm so glad I came back--it reminded me why this has been one of my favorite local restaurants for years. From the moment we walked in, Sammy took great care of us. We wanted to sit at the bar, and she made sure we got seats right away. Throughout our visit, she was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Service like that makes a great meal even better. The tacos were absolutely outstanding--fresh, flavorful, and every bit as good as I remembered. And the margaritas? Still some of the best around. It's hard to beat great tacos, an excellent margarita, and top-notch service all in one place. Sometimes you forget just how good a restaurant is until you go back, and that's exactly what happened to me. Los Agaves hasn't missed a beat. Great food, great drinks, and outstanding people. I

Service... if you like no follow through and people who can't look at you while speaking to you, maybe it's for you. None of the soda fountain was working, they knew about it, and multiple people said they'd bring me the soda I paid for, and it never happened. Back to the counter to get a refund. You'd think if they knew sodas weren't streaming they'd either stop letting people purchase or refund proactively. They don't. Bizarre concept, will never be back. Plenty of Mexican places with great service and food.

Great!! Great food. Great Margaritas…read more. Great people!! I specifically love their soup.

"Sancho"--a name whispered with a grin or a wink, often referring to the side piece, the other…read moreperson, the indulgence you're not supposed to talk about. And in a way, that's exactly what El Sancho Cantina is: an escape. A secret. A little taste of something else. Whether you slide in for lunch, happy hour, or dinner, El Sancho is where you come to cheat on your routine. Tucked into Thousand Oaks, it's a getaway hidden in plain sight. Sit at the bar, let the cool breeze drift through, and allow the Spanish ballads to work their magic. For a moment, you'll forget where you are--and believe you've wandered into a dreamy cantina somewhere deep in Mexico. Start with the "El Viejo"--their riff on an Old Fashioned. Let the applewood smoke swirl above the glass as you lean in. The aroma hits first, then the deep flavors of añejo tequila and Mexican whiskey settle in with smooth confidence. Sip slow. This isn't a race--it's a seduction. If you're looking for something a little lighter--a healthy balance between indulgence and intention--try the two taco plate with the green salad substitution. I went for one Potato taco, one Shredded Chicken taco, and swapped out the rice and beans for a salad of mixed greens and cucumber, dressed with balsamic vinaigrette and a squeeze of fresh lime. The flavors were bright, clean, and satisfying. I walked away full--but not heavy. If I was meeting my Sancha after, I could've easily gone for a stroll. Maybe even dessert. But don't let me lead you down the wrong path--the tacos and cocktails are already all the temptation you need. And if that post-lunch lull starts to creep in, fight back with the "El Cafecito"--a soulful wake-up call of Licor 43, Kahlúa, cold brew coffee, and chocolate bitters. My personal pick over an espresso martini--bold, smooth, and unapologetically delicious. So yes, you might be cheating on SoCal for an hour with Mexico vibes, but El Sancho doesn't judge. In fact, it invites you back--with open arms, a strong pour, and just the right amount of trouble.

This was the first time I have been here since I was in high school, and boy has the place changed! The location offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and the salsa bar offers a great variety of salsas. Customer service was friendly. Staff will bring out the food to you if you choose to eat at the location. There was no line when I came. As the location is in a strip mall, there is plenty of parking even if you go on the weekends. The prices are quite high, but that is no surprise given the area. I got a cabo salad which came with chips. My meal did not stand out, but the shrimp was delicious.

Another issue we experienced was the bar had a private party, which was fine, however the noise level from the mariachi band was way too loud and none of the patrons could enjoy their own table conversations. If yo're going to shut down the bar on a Saturda, please take into consideration all other patrons in the main dining room. I am open to going again for drinks and appetizers at the bar, however, I should not have to tell the wait staff to charge us accordingly what the menu offers.
