What a pleasant surprise accidentally finding this place. A group of us had volunteered at the animal shelter nearby and we were hungry to say the least. This place wasn't far from the shelter. Talk about some authentic mexican food. I couldn't ask for a more authentic place on this side of the border. Most of the staff and patrons spoke Spanish and with a little Google translate we were able to get our order in. The waitress was sweet and patient through the language barrier. We originally ordered to eat there, but ended up taking it to go because it took a bit longer. The chips and salsa were . The salsa had a very good kick to it. This wasn't the easiest place for our vegan friend to order, but if you eat meat and cheese you are good. I ordered the carne asada plate, originally asked for the burrito but i don't think the waitress heard me. My wife had the green chili enchiladas and we both had a coke in the glass bottle. The food was great! I accidentally left my credit card there after I paid and when I returned to get it the staff had it tucked safely for me. When I returned no issue with retrieving the card. Ok so we went today, drove from Glendale to try it out. We were greeted right away. But then sat in the booth for 10 minutes before a menu was given to us. Then another 20 min for the waitress to come and take our order. All the while the waitresses were at the cash register talking away. Finally after several times of looking at them she finally came to take our order. It wasn't busy and even some customers got up and left because they were tired of waiting. Then another 20 minutes before our came to the table, we could see it just sitting under the heat lamp. Very disappointed, food was good, but customer service was very poor. read more

The front of the restaurant looks super presentable and the food tastes super good! I got the shrimp ceviche and I totally recommend it with tortilla chips! I also got their horchata! It tastes like regular horchata but their other drinks taste like grey water and their toilet wont flush! Other than that, it was a good experience! read more

This restaurant was listed at the New Times as one of the BEST Mexican Restaurants for seafood so I wanted to try it. They offer many of your Mexican favorites, breakfast, plus ceviche, whole fish and marlin tacos. The salsas and tortillas are made in house. Prices are low and I found the portions to be very large. This is a family owned business and they are bilingual and are friendly and welcoming. It's not a fancy place but everything looked clean and new. We started out with some tacos. The tortillas were excellent. Even better than tortillas I ate in Mexico. The Cabeza Taco Meat was tender and developed with flavors and was great! The Marlin Tacos were grilled very nicely and were packed with lots of chopped marlin. The fish was mild and sweet. We shared a Chile Relleno Plate and Chicken Enchiladas. The Chile Relleno was the BIGGEST one I ever came across and had a very light batter and a delicious tomato sauce on it. Chicken Enchiladas were packed with moist flavorful chicken and were covered in delicious flavorful sauces. My husband said the rice and beans were very good. This is one of the very few restaurants in Metro Phoenix that serves Marlin. This is a very good restaurant were everything is house made and delicious. Walking by this place doesn't look like there's enough space inside, but it is pretty spacious as soon as you walk in. The place is well kept and service was great. The food was delicious, every plate was a winner. I ordered the ceviche de camaron(it has Clamato with a hint of spicy), the tacos dorados de queso were so perfectly cooked, and the enchiladas with pollo had enough sauce but they weren't runny. This place is so good. It's my new favorite place close to my new home. read more

Good food and all but the service sucks. It's a hit or miss if you're gonna get a good waiter for some reason they always wonder off and don't refill cups. Hidden gem for sure!!! These authentic flavors definitely come from Los Mochis, Sinaloa without a doubt. One night I ordered two burritos and one was way more than I bargained for, HUGE! :) the flavors were on point and everything from the nicely cooked homemade flour tortilla to all of the layers in the burrito. (Very well put together, not your average burrito) the next day I had a campechana (seafood cocktail) and I was taken away by the quality of seafood. The chicken soup is great, loved the broccoli and noodles. Excited to see the growth within this local restaurant. I can't wait to stop by and get some good shots of all of the dishes they have to offer! Will without a doubt be back again. read more

I brought my parents here for breakfast and as soon as we sat down a cockroach crawled up the wall behind my mom. We told the waitress, she killed it and LEFT IT on the floor next to our table. The restaurant doesn't look very clean. They brought out chips and guacamole, but the chips were old and super hard we had to ask for a fresh chips. Overall not a great experience would not come back again. read more

Ok, so its only taken me 21 years to find a good burrito since moving here from Chicago. I would include pictures in my review but it was so awesome, i couldn't stop eating it to take any. Moving here from Chicago and having a ton of good places to get a burrito, i thought it would be really easy to also find one out here. I mean it is 1800 miles closer to Mexico, right???? WRONG. Maybe its a regional thing, i don't know. Enough of my problems and back to this place. Its not very big. Not very fancy. Its really far from my house. 12 miles or a good 20-30 minutes. But most importantly, they make a great burrito. I will gladly drive. Gladly pay upwards of $8. It shouldn't be hard. Steak is hot and grilled (i think) Tortilla has a slight crispy-ness on the outside and soft in the rest. To go order came with your 2 containers of salsa to add to it. Delicious also. I guess a place such as this would be surprised to hear how so many other places just can't seem to make a proper burrito. I was recommended this place by a friend who works around there.
