Very good pizza, it is my favorite in Berthoud. Have ordered a couple times during COVID and they are taking many safety precautions to ensure safety. Delicious! Working on eating my way through their menu. Diablo is delicious and not too spicy. I love the size of their toppings on the pizza. And the crust is a real winner. This is my go to pizza spot in town. Heck even if I was back in Longmont I'd be half tempted to make the trek here. The quality from dough to sauce is impeccable they fire on all cylinders. Garlic knots are great and cheese bread is fantastic as well. Calzones are huge and could easily feed 2. I have not tried the wings yet but hope to update this review once I do. These guys sent me home with the wrong pizza. I called and told them when I got home. They said to bring it back and they will remake it. I asked if they could just give me a credit for next time to save me the drive. Nope, but they said they would start on the remake for me. When I got back to the place they hadn't even started the replacement pizza. No discount no refund, just a screw you to the customer. Talked to the manager, he said that that is the owners policy. The best pizza in town! Fast, friendly service, and conveniently located! They have the most delicious Stromboli! Great Calzones too! Tonight we had the White Pizza and the Meat Stromboli. The pizza crust was thin, soft, buttery, and garlicky! The cheese on the pizza was SOOO tasty! The Meat Stromboli had a soft, buttery, flavorful dough, and yummy deli meats and cheeses wrapped inside, with a zingy mustard sauce! For desert they have a caramel apple pizza (which I think needs some tweaking). Overall, it's quality food and the best place in town for Pizza, Calzones, and yummy Stromboli! The prices are fairly reasonable, perhaps a bit on the high side for our little town here. But the food is high quality and delicious, so I will be going here for Italian from now on. We absolutely love the pizza and normally order pizza every week or so from here but didn't realize they closed at 8pm on Fridays so we called to find out a wait time and after they answered at 8:15pm and we asked the wait time the person who answered replied "9 hours, we close at 8, we'll see you tomorrow" just a tad unprofessional in my opinion a simple "sorry we closed at eight and are only answering for previous ordering customers" would have been more than sufficient. We've never had this issue before. The review would be 5 stars but thank you to Greg it might be a while before we order here again. Also I understand the stress restaurant workers are going through at this time but be at least somewhat professional and not a complete smart-alick. read more

Fun options but fall short on execution. Out of 3 to go orders all 3 were wrong. One they forgot a topping but still charged us, the next was supposed to be a half and half but wasn't and they forgot the dressings for the salad and the last one, the calzone was burnt and black on the bottom and they forgot our bread. I called on two of the mistakes as I was home before I noticed (and don't live in berthoud) and they said a manager would call me back but I've never heard from anyone. Should I have checked every box before I left, maybe, but I don't have to at brick oven or blockys. read more

What can I say but WOW! The food is beyond good. You can taste the difference in the quality of their ingredients, superb! They catered an event at my workplace a week or so ago and I have nothing but praise for them. They worked hard to get out 19 pizzas and 3 enormous salads with homemade dressings. Everyone at the event was disappointed at first because it was pizza but by the end, they were all asking where the pizza was from! They were super happy with the salads and pizza! Got some pizza to go on our way to Carter lake. Delicious pizza and had a nice conversation with the owner while we waited for our pizza.

5 stars as it is the best Pizza Berthoud has ever had (although I still dream of Dipping Dots!). Now for the food! The pizza is thin crust, light airy and super tender! While I personally have a preference for a little more yeasty dough, the crust is fantastic. The pie itself is lightly crispy on the bottom but gives (meaning you can fold it) and the edges are super crispy and yummy! The sauce is fresh and isn't too sweet (or, ahem, too deeply browned) so it doesn't overtake the entire taste of the pizza! Many, many pizzerias have trouble with sauces. Keep it fresh, simple and light! They have super fresh toppings (very high quality proteins too) although I was very disappointed to learn that they did not offer fresh basil as one of their toppings. Meaning...they can't make a proper margarita pizza. Whatever Berthoud Pizza Co's version of that is. Now for a dose of personal honesty.... Much to our delight and surprise, they make homemade sausages for their menu. We had both the Italian sausage and the Chorizo. One comment about the sausages though is for some reason they taste super "porky." I know that sounds weird as I am referring to pork sausage!! And, yes, we make our own homemade sausagese and have eaten it at many dining establishments. It was almost like the Italian sausage was extremely under seasoned, most notably, a lack of fennel, but definitely under on all of the other seasonings, as well. IMO. And this is coming from someone that doesn't particularly care for using large amounts of fennel. The chorizo is very nicely seasoned and has a nice level of spiciness. Perhaps the Italian sausage seasoning was just victimized by that day's batch. But you definitely should give it a try! To those of you who claim that it's on the pricey side, remember, please, high quality ingredients equals higher prices! Before I sign off, I should also note that they have entirely remodeled the interior, with exception of the pizza ovens, of course! They are also working on finalizing the outdoor Patio. The interior is light and modern and totally works for the space. We should all get together and speak very loudly about the fact that they do not deliver. Berthoud Pizza Co is great and would be even better if they delivered. Speak up fellow residents! We would like to have a delivery option! We will gladly pay for it! Even if it is only for the weekends and grows to more business days! If you don't want to try an entire pie, stop by and order a slice just to try it out as they serve slices during all business hours!!!! Go, Go, Go! Congrats guys!!! Berthoud is so glad you are here!!!!! P.S. Don't forget to promote them on Yelp or other ratings Apps so they can grow their business and remain successful in our small town!!!!!!!
