Came in for pizza and wound up having a fantastic salad. I added grilled chicken to their farmers salad. The greens in the salad were fresh and crispy. Hard-boiled egg was cut smoothly and it and was delicious. Cranberries were crisp and had a wonderful taste. The balsamic vinegar was on the side and tasted delightful. Small place but it was clean and neat, staff was friendly and smiled all the time. I look forward to going back and trying their pizzas. read more

My buddy and I decided to stop in here after driving 8+ hours from Jackson, WY. Walking through the door we were greeted by the owner, Tom. He explained the menu to us and how they make everything in House. We decided on the XL Pepperoni and Mushroom. The best way to describe the atmosphere is minimal and clean. A few TVs on the wall and their logo. It's not trying to be something that it's not. The pizza speaks for itself. Big cheesy and fresh. Even the parmesan you sprinkle on the pizza is fresh!!! Ok, so great pizza, I can't complain at all. Price on the other hand - way too high. That's the biggest thing I have against them. Otherwise, best pizza you'll find between N Denver and S Fort Collins. THE BEST PIZZA IN NORTHERN COLORADO. We have lived in Berthoud for a few years and finally found this pizza place and all I can say is how sad we are that we only discovered them a few months ago! I love New York Style pizza and this is probably the closest I have had in Colorado. Not only is the food delicious, but the service is amazing! They are always friendly opening the door for you on the way out and just recently we ordered online and were quoted it to be ready in 45 minutes. Love Berthoud Pizza Company! They have a great variety of pizzas and provide Gluten Free crust too and that is a big plus for us! The staff is always super friendly and very attentive. Ordered a cheese pizza and chef salad to go. The pizza was great. The salad was good, (nothing too special, but better than the ice berg lettuce with shaved carrots and bad ranch you usually receive at pizza joints.) Service was bad, and the reason I am rating a 2 overall. We called ahead of time for pick-up and were told 25 minutes. We arrived about ten minutes early and asked if we could pay and wait for the order to be ready, staff said yes, it would be about 10 more minutes, and to have a seat. We waited about 30 minutes before "trying" to ask where the order was. I say "trying" because we made multiple attempts to get the attention of staff behind the counter and were repeatedly ignored. 50 minutes after calling, 35 spent sitting in the restaurant waiting, an employee at the register acknowledged us when we went up to the counter. She told us our order had just come out - and we recognized it as a pizza we watched them put into the oven only 15 minutes prior. We asked if our order had been forgotten, and informed her that we had been waiting almost an hour. The employee simply said, "I don't know," shoved the pizza, without the salad, across the counter and waited for us to leave. When we said we had also ordered and paid for a salad she said nothing, went and got it, shoved that at us, and waited again for us to leave. We received no apology, no thank you for your business, and no answer as to why or how our order had been forgotten. Overall we felt were treated very rudely. We will not return to the establishment because of the staff. read more

Fantastic pizza! These owners are super nice and they understand the true meaning of how to make a NY style pizza! We ordered the Greek pizza and added some pepperoni for protein and it was amazing. All the flavors attacking each individual taste bud. You get hit with the phenomenal flavors of the good quality pepperoni and kalamata olives but as you you chew and savor each bite you get the taste of the basil and oregano and at the end you get a blast of garlic butter yummy goodness. Definitely would drive out of my way to come back and try their other flavors! read more

My husband loves pizza, but I'm not a fan. I'll have one slice at the most once in a while. When I run to Berthoud, I will often pick up a pizza for my husband. I tried Berthoud Pizza Company for the first time about a month ago, and we will never go anywhere else. We're east-coasters, and this is east coast style. The crust, which is always why I don't like pizza (given I'm not into bread), is perfect. It's the perfect crispness. It has that lovely buttery-crisp thin style that is perfectly palatable down to the last bite. Saw some reviews that it is too thin a crust. Totally disagree. I'm biased toward this style, but the toppings, sauce, all are wonderful. I also disagree that the toppings are short. The whole pizza is the best pizza I've had in dozens of years. I just brought home a pizza for my husband and dove in first. This, from someone who doesn't like pizza. Well done! Love that you have beer and wine too for a non-takeout option. read more

Really wanted this to be our go-to pizza place without having to leave town, but our first visit was less satisfying than we thought it should be. Pizza crust is very thin, and toppings are thin as well. I'm fine with thin crust, although a little crispier would have been better to me, but the toppings were skimpy, especially for the price. Berthoud pizza is excellent NY style thin crust pizza! They serve slices for lunch or whole pies. They have excellent quality toppings and I have yet to dislike any of their pizzas. I had a great lunch here!! The atmosphere was fun and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. My friend and I sat outside and shared the very large, and very good Classic Meat Stromboli (the leftovers were great too). The Upsloap beer on draft went really well with it. First experience. Take Out BBQ Chicken & Vege were very good. Chose here be it's close AND natural ingredients. White pizza was overdone, dried out and tasted like what I imagine cardboard with cheese does and it's the chewiest pizza EVER. White pizza other places has been moist and tasty so I, reasonably, expected the same or better from this Crew. Called to give feedback, and I was given, not Customer Service empathy, but the REASON its like that because there"s no sauce base (if I understood correctly. At $18.49/ Family size, I was too pissed to listen at this point). I said, then it should come off the menu. He really didn't give sh*t. Everyone I was feeding agreed the White Pizza was crap, so we were down one pizza. Didn't think I needed to ASK for a do over or different pizza. I would've brought it back. Too bad the couldn't-care-less attitude got you a generous 3 stars, instead of 5. No 2nd chance to make a 1st impression. read more
