Including, but not limited to: canned juices for kids meals (no spillage!), rolls included in every order, and a new focus on accuracy. The Dough Club sends out $15 off coupons all the time, which brings over priced pasta down to something reasonable for a family of four. Don't order from this Bertucci's location through a delivery service! Consistently when we have ordered, our delivery driver has had to wait for over 30 minutes since the restaurant staff didn't put the order in. And it's 100% not the delivery service - it's always Bertucci's lack of attention/attentiveness. Additionally, quality is spotty at this location. Sometimes your food is undercooked, sometimes overcooked, rarely satisfactory. Upper management should take note of this location - something's awry because the attention is not on food or service! read more

First place we ate after arriving in MA for the first time. Amanda was an EXCELLENT server and the wings were really good, crispy and juicy with the lemon and rosemary seasoning. The complimentary bread and oil for dipping won a place in our hearts. They really hooked us up when they saw we made a mistake with our pizza order and made sure we left with a positive experience. Took the family to Bertucci's for my daughter's birthday. Service was slow, dining room was dirty. Ordered appetizers, one order of mozzarella fritters had three pieces for $15.00, and the Bertucci's sampler had three each of mozzarella fritters, chicken wings, and small meatballs for $19.00, all of it tasted like the frozen boxed stuff that you pop in the oven at home. I got a small pizza, as did one of my daughters at $20.00 each, my other daughter got a Caesar salad, my wife got eggplant parm and my daughter's boyfriend got cheese raviolis. 175.00 dollars plus tip later we were happy to leave. My entire family agreed that the quality of this place has really hit rock bottom, it's a shame. Needless to say, we will not be going back. read more

My mom and I stopped here on our way to the airport. We have been on vacation for a couple days and we're really tired after staying up late last night and craving Italian food, we found the nearest Italian restaurant to stop for a quick bite. For a restaurant we didn't expect to get out of there perfectly on time, but what made us unhappy was the reason the service was so slow and for our food and the taste of it. The rolls were served first, and they were amazing! But our waitress was very slow to get us our water, my mom eventually went up to the front to ask for our water. The lady we asked was very apologetic and made sure we got our water, but we had eaten all our roles. Our food was actually ready pretty quick, but the staff was busy having a conversation over our food for ten minutes before we got our food. I was okay with my salad, it was satisfying, but the chicken was dry. My mom felt as if her pasta was taken out of a cardboard box and popped in the microwave. Which it might've been, from the looks of the kitchen a lot of items are premade. By the time we got our check, the waitress had disappeared and it was almost 5pm already. We ended up taking our check to pay at the Togo register. Overall we're not very pleased. The restaurant was basically empty the whole time we were there the staff shouldn't have been as inattentive. I would rate this a zero if I could. Staff were very rude when we first got there. We had to ask our waitress 4 times for a water until we got one, every time she came back to the table she seemed like she had no idea what was going on. The food was absolutely disgusting. I got a Caesar salad with chicken that was not edible. My daughter got pasta with noodles and in the dish there were long dark pieces of hair. We were so grossed out we left as soon as we could. We will never eat at any of these restaurants again. I used to come as a kid and it was always delicious, I don't know what happened but it was grotesque. read more

The service at this restaurant is TERRIBLE and the manager, Deb, is incredibly rude. I called 5 minutes before my order should've been ready and was told they needed 5 more minutes. After 25 additional minutes of waiting, the manager actually laughed that I was unhappy with waiting for 25 minutes (the order was placed and my credit card was charged at 5:33 PM for a 6:45 pickup). Restaurants are busy, but saying 5 minutes when the pizzas were not made and then being rude and laughing at a customer for expecting the food within a reasonable window of the promised time is too much. Looking at other reviews, it is clear that this is a pattern. This could've been handled so differently by the staff and the manager's response to mock a customer who was displeased is truly mind blowing. Nobody answers the phone so you have to order and pay online. Ordered a large cheese and received a margarita pizza, kids are bummed - not sure how you mess that up. I double checked my receipt too. Terrible experience. We went with our son and his wife and his in laws and our two grandchildren after our grandson's soccer game. Got there a little past 7 pm. Waitress was "new" and didn't know the menu. I ordered Rigatoni Abruzze, "what's that?" I ordered a glass of the house red wine, while others in our party ordered drinks. All came but mine. Later, she showed up with a small bottle of Prosecco. She did eventually come back and exchange the drinks. She didn't say that our meals came with soup or salad, which would have been good, since it took nearly an hour for the food to come out. She said that the kitchen got backed up "due to the takeout meals." So we had to wait for the takeout meals before they started ours. Then the kids had ordered spaghetti with meatballs. When the food finally came, she said the kitchen ran out of meatballs, so they put meat sauce on the pasta. But the kids don't like meat sauce. So they had to bring two more meals. My son's meal was not brought out, "it will be out soon." It was about 20 minutes more before his came out, served in a crock. The crock was hot but the meal was cold. By now it was 8:30. He said he would take a small pizza to go. The topper was my grandson saying that he had gone to the men's room and the bus boy was in there cleaning the sink with a spray bottle. He said he squirted him and grinned and that he kept looking at him and nodding back in the restaurant. When we asked where he squirted him, he pointed to his groin. There was no manager there to talk to, and my son wanted to get going. I would avoid this place. I know I will. read more

Very nice location right next to the Derby Street shops. Always nice to come here to eat after a day of shopping. I have had their Chicken Picatta and also the Ravioli that they make here. Both are always very delicious and cooked just right. I always get a garden salad with the meal and the Italian dressing they use is very tasty. They give you complimentary bread here and it always tastes fresh right out of their brick ovens. If you're looking to get an appetizer I recommend their fried mozzarella. I've ordered that several times and it's always great. The service is always very fast and efficient. I never wait long for my food here. I would highly recommend this location to others. read more

Ordered 1 large cheese and 1 large specialty pepperoni for pick up for 3 adults. Not very busy, staff were pleasant and food was ready at exact pick up time promised. During the past few months, we have eaten more take out than I care to admit and for the most part, all was okay to good. Restaurants have done an amazing job under the most horrible conditions. I have seen extraordinary effort and delivery people just working so hard to ensure accuracy and speed. Tonight was the exception. The taste was pretty good but the pizzas were so dry and overcooked, we had to make alternate food as these above, are just inedible. It's actually a 2.6... but it's no Carrabba's in menu or taste. Pizza, made my own, it wasn't bad probably a 2.8, I'm a tough grader. Also had the sampler. Wings not bad, probably a 2.9 nice grill taste, I might have liked more w blue cheese, they have a bit of a pepper ting, again just ok. Meatballs also a 2.9. And what's the mozzarell patties a 2.1. J Lor vino good selection, but I guess the place just is a bit tired inside. I hate a carpet like floor and hate it worse when they are sweeping it up close to our table. I would bet some pizza selection could be a 3.0-3.5 but I doubt I'll go back to try. Bill came to 80.00 for 2 pizzas, one sampler, 2 wines and 2 coffees. We had great service tonight for my boyfriends birthday dinner. The lovely girl waiting on us was able to get the exception for him to get a different pizza, at the same price, instead of the specific option he got for the birthday email. The risotto balls were absolutely delicious for an appetizer, just the right amount for 2 people. The bread and oil they have is soooo good. It's tough to hear about all of Bertucci's recent financial difficulties. I have loved this restaurant chain for years and years; regardless of how many many others feel the chain is extremely mediocre. Comparing to other chains, they consistently are changing their menu, adding new items all the time. They do occasionally get rid of things people like, but the only thing you guarantee in life is change! This specific location is directly outside the Derby Shoppes in Hingham along Derby Street. It's one minute off Route 3, at Exit 15. Always coupons for this place! Sign up for their emails and you get 15 or 25% off nearly every week. Considering that most meals come with a soup or salad, and those incredible amazing rolls (the real reason to go to Bertucci's), you honestly always get a bargain at Bertucci's. This location is on the smaller side, but has a good assortment of seating including tables, booths, and a bar. There are plenty of windows surrounding the restaurant too. Employees seemed all very friendly, content, and efficient in getting everyone everything they needed. We all really liked it here. Much better than some other sub-par Bertucci's restaurants. And while this shopping center is generally congested and full of traffic, Bertucci's is perfectly located AWAY from all the traffic. I would definitely come back in the future and would highly suggest this place. Give Bertucci's another chance, they are continuously trying to get back their loyal customers! Bertucci's at Derby street in Hingham, Ma is well worth it to begin with. The atmosphere is nice and the food is excellent! What made our experience even better was our server, Jan! She was amazing! I popped in with my wife after rush hoping it would be slower and it was. My one request was that we be seated socially distanced and we were, initially. By the time we got our salad there was only us and one other table a bit away in the whole, rather large, dining room. A new family appeared and they were seated in the booth right next to us. A table of two came in after them and the staff set them right next to the other table. I do not get this behavior. Except for the bar, the restaurant was empty. My only request was to seat us away from others. I even ignored it that none of the staff were not wearing a mask. Whether one agrees with Covid or not, there was no reason to do this. I asked the take out clerk if they had anything close to the Verde pizza, she says it's not on the menu anymore but we will make it for you. So happy we made it a large and delicious it was. We quite often find ourselves at a Bertucci's when in Massachusetts. It's become that reliable place to go when the hunger strikes, there's not a lot of time, and we are both too tired to think. We landed at Logan airport and after grabbing our luggage and rental car we had a late night drive ahead of us to Cape Cod in the rain. We were both hungry after our day of crappy airport food so we quickly pulled into Bertucci's when we spotted it. It was 10:20, they close at 10:30. I ran in and asked if we could get a pizza to go before they closed. Of course! Thank you God! I ordered the Large Ultimate Bertucci ($20) each quarter has its own different topping, which is perfect for both of us. We were out of there by 10:30 and had to eat a slice in the parking lot like savages before we hit the road. So good. Of course we'll be back. read more
