They did this because they wanted to make sure the repair would work, and after the installation of the part, there was a certain amount of time the system needed to reboot. I repeatedly tried to pay him for all the extra attention and he refused. This is a true pay it forward company. There are few of these type of businesses these days. My call was answered by Cheryl (I believe that was her name...if not I apologize in advance). She was so courteous and helpful. Instead of taking my name and telling me someone will call me back. She actually took the time to walk me through some of the common problems so that I can troubleshoot. Once we figured out that the issue will need professional help she got me on the calendar as soon as possible. I was scheduled with Lou A. He was super communicative prior to the appointment. Once here, he quickly diagnosed that the problem was the capacitor and got the ac working in no time. Despite having a jammed schedule he did not make me feel rushed and answered all my questions. Their fees were fair and not one of those big companies where they will nickel and dime you for every little thing they do. I've used several hvac companies in the past and this has been the best experience thus far. We will look to use these guys for future issues.

They sent a repairman out to check out the unit and he suggested after spending less than 10 minutes looking at it, that the engine was damaged and even though the motor was guaranteed by Generac, the cost of repair would be about $6000 and it would be better to buy a new one. He said it would take two people to repair it and it would take about two days. To say I was shocked was an understatement. I made a few calls with help from Generac and my local electrician who installed the electricity hookup suggested a dealer in New Jersey, (Benson Ver Hage Electric) who also gave me an estimate. He also concluded that my engine did need replacement. He also said the engine was covered under warranty but the labor was separate. His attitude was much more friendly and professional than the first guy and he spent at least a full hour checking out the whole unit as opposed to the time of 10 minutes that the first repairman did. He was a very pleasant fellow and when I told him that the other serviceman said it would be about $6000 he was shocked. He said the cost would b $750 to repair it and it would be done in one day. His specialty was only all house generators , He came back a week later and spent at least three hours repairing it and did an incredible job. The unit now works as well as the day it was installed which was about 4 years. He even cleaned up the oil that accumulated on the concrete base of the generator. Looking back now I realized that the original company was not being honest with me. The new company I used was Benson Ver Hage Electric Inc in Midland Park,NJ. The people they sent were so kind and knowledgeable and really knew what they doing. They came on time and I am so pleased with the work they did and the attitude and how they treated me. I am 82 years old and handicapped and they, unlike the first company treated me honestly and did a fantastic job. It's obvious that the first company was only out to make money at my expense or just didn't want to do the job.

DO NOT TRUST. I hired go green to take a look at my split level central air system. The 2nd floor…read morewas blowing cold but the first floor was about 5 degrees hotter....after spending 2 hours with his assistant fiddling with the outside unit , Justin charged me over $600 and told me it "should cool down in a few hours"....the Central air unit was completely broken by the time they left and my home heated up to over 80 degrees overnight (hotter than outside). Our newborn and my wife barely slept through the night...it's now over 85+ degrees with my Central air on and we'll be staying in hotel....we need to hire another company to actually do the work CORRECTLY....Justin has yet to return any calls. Between the repair fees and accommodations I've lost over $800 by trusting Justin and Go Green Air. They also backed into my neighbors wall on the way out...Complete nightmare, DO NOT TAKE THE RISK with Go Green Air.

Let's face it, spending that $ for the stuff you cannot see is never fun but Rob gave a good fair price. His techs - Mark and Robert -were here all day and did not stop until job was done, checking to make sure it was working properly and explaining the system to us so it can function for years to come. They were cordial in working in masks in this trying time (and with us wearing them in our home as well to protect them). Removing the old furnace was a task in itself as it easily weighed OVER 500 lbs and had to be broken up in two pieces to get out of our basement! I had used DB prior to for our annual AC checks, but this is the first big time job and couldn't be happier. Great service all the way around.
