If you're in Marpole, Vancouver, you HAVE to go to Bespoke & Sushi - a fantastic hidden gem! We both ordered their Bespoke Combo, and for $18.95, it's an absolute steal. Being able to choose three items from their massive menu (plus free miso soup!) was a game-changer. My picks: Tofu teriyaki don, a delicious mango & avocado roll, and salmon nigiri. My husband's: Beef teriyaki, spicy chopped scallop roll, and spicy salmon sashimi (with an additional $2). So much variety and everything was fresh and flavorful. Heads up, it's a popular spot, so be prepared for a potential wait for a table or grab it to-go like many happy customers we saw! Highly recommend for a tasty and reasonably priced meal. Seating is limited however nice and cozy feels. If pay by cash, you save 10%. Otherwise, they debit and credit cards.

Stopped by this place on our way to the outlet mall across the bridge and was pleasantly surprised by the quality! The food tasted very fresh and was prepared well - we ordered a roll with shrimp tempura and all you can really ask for with tempura in a roll is for it to not be soggy, and they delivered we felt content with serving size, not too much but not too little food. Bespoke & Sushi is in an unexpected area but worth checking out!

Enjoyed the cozy spot here for dinner. The rolls could of been wrapped tighter. Enjoyed how a certain rolled was fried a bit. I think it was the Bespoke sushi that was fried. The service was attentive. I am not sure if this a Japanese run place though. I did a scroll in the hallway walking to the bathroom which pointed to me that this place could be Chinese-run. With cash payment, you get 10% off. Street parking or small lot parking.

This is a cute little place in the neighborhood. Food was pretty good for the price! We ordered the unagi aburi, Pink Panther and Dynamite and Yam rolls. The aburi was subpar compared to other places but overall okay. Pink Panther was pretty good and we loved the ikura! Dynamite and Yam roll was also pretty delicious. Service was little slow and practically had to wave our server down despite there being only maybe 6 tables (of which only 4 were occupied).

The food was great, at a good price. The service was good. The atmosphere and ambiance was nice with a smaller, calm restaurant. Very quaint and nice vibe. Would definitely go back, 4.5/5

A sushi place you could easily miss located between Wicks Cafe and Cafe De L'Orangerie in a complex that has pretty tight and few parking spots. The interior is clean and has several tables for indoor dining. When we came at lunch on the weekend, the place filled up quickly. The have an extensive menu. At first, you think they only do Poke bowls, but they actually do everything a Japanese restaurant normally serves. We settled for ordering their bento sets. Taste wise I liked the Aburi Chasiu and the sushi rice was nicely flavored. Their rice bowls were good tasting, large size and filling. On the other hand, the sashimi that came with the bento boxes were thick cut like you would get at a value sushi places; and the tuna sashimi was chewy/stringy. I wouldn't get sashimi here if it was on its own. The kids liked the California Roll, pretty standard. And I liked the Chopped Scallop Roll, pretty standard. These were included in our bentos. 10% off if you pay by Cash.

Oyako don

Struggled to decide how to rate this place. It's like a poke place with sushi and other stuff. I ordered the oyako-don and it was one of the best I've had. Really soft egg, almost like semi yolk / raw, with silky smooth chicken. Lots of onions. It was like a really smooth and soft blend of egg, onions and chicken. So so so good. On the other hand, the toro sashimi I ordered really wasn't all that. It was very thin. I was disappointed with the amount; lots of other places would give you a thick piece. I'm rating this for the oyako don.

We discovered this place by chance, and it turned out to be nice and cozy. The sushi was incredibly fresh and full of flavor--some of the best I have ever had. I wish I lived nearby so I could enjoy this all the time. Thank you from Texas!

Fast service. Fresh foods. Delicious flavours. Definitely worth coming to. 1/2 rice 1/2 greens was the perfect amount of rice. Scrumptious!

We came to Bespoke sushi for takeout during a weekend afternoon. Prices are reasonable but thought the sushi was pretty standard. It wasn't bad but I didn't find anything specifically that made it stand out. A solid choice if looking for quick sushi.

Great food little restaurant hidden in the small community! Easy dining in or take out. Not mush of service needed, but the staffs are great and friendly! Totally worth to check it out .

My pottery class is just one street over and so I wanted to try this new place with my friend. I ordered the set combo. The prices are very reasonable at this place! I enjoyed the aburi California roll. I hope to come back and try their poke bowl. The service was lovely. :)

Aburi Unagi Rice Bowl

Very casual Japanese and poke restaurant, but the food was great! I tried the aburi unagi bowl. The unagi was super rich and delicious and the vegetables in the salad portion of the bowl were fresh. I also really liked the inclusion of the tamago pieces - it went very well with the unagi. The presentation was simple but very appealing. The bowl with included miso soup is $19.5 with white rice, which I think is a great price given the size, quality, and especially the ample portion of unagi, BUT if you sub brown rice as I did it's $2 extra. How is it that much more expensive to use brown rice in one bowl? Not docking a star for this because $21.5 as a final price was still fine with me for this dish, just seems like a heavy upcharge. I also think brown rice and unagi go great together so in my eyes it's worth it to get this upgrade. Green tea with refills was complimentary with dine-in, which was a pleasant surprise! From the outside I thought it might be a quick counter-service deal, but it's closer to a full sit-down restaurant. You can seat yourself and pay at the register when you're finished, but there's menus at the table and waiter service. The staff was very polite and made me feel at home. Unfortunately I don't come down to this neighbourhood often, but if I did I'd be back in a heartbeat.

They actually torch the tuna when you order! The combination of pasta salad with rice was odd to me, I wish there was an option to use salad as the base instead of rice, but I really enjoyed this bowl. The pasta salad was great, as was the fish and the spicy mayo (it was actually pretty spicy). The pineapple was very obviously from a can and tasted a little weak; fresh would have been better but that's a small detail. I also got a butter mochi. These come packaged in a plastic bag and had a bit of that packaged baked good sheen to it (sorry if this is not a universal experience and no one knows what I'm talking about) but getting past that, I have yet to find a really good and FRESH butter mochi in Vancouver and this is probably the best one I've had. It was very gooey in the middle and just a little crisp outside. The shop has ample seating and had a nice atmosphere with lots of natural light from the big windows. Very clean. I'd come back.

Compared to the locations on W 8th and Hornby, this location is more optimized for takeout; the seating is just stools at counters along the walls and for me the counter was awkwardly high compared to the height of the stool. It was also a little loud. If you're just getting takeout it doesn't make a difference because the food is consistent between all locations, but I would recommend the other location downtown (or the W 8th location if that's in range) for a more comfortable dine-in experience. I tried the Diamond Head pokerrito and subbed out the spicy tuna for the vegan tuna. It's still not a vegan meal if you do this because there are other seafood ingredients in the wrap, but I wanted to try the vegan tuna. It was delicious but very messy because the pokérrito is essentially a giant sushi roll and not sealed at the ends. You kind of have to keep it wrapped in the paper while you eat it but there's no graceful way to eat the ends. I really enjoyed the flavours of this even if I had to get my hands dirty though. The vegan tuna is pretty good. The texture is close enough to real tuna that I wouldn't have noticed it was different if I didn't know. I also got a tiramisu. When I ordered, the person making my order informed me that it was still frozen but it was still good frozen, like ice cream. So I decided that I'd try it and it was pretty good as a frozen dessert except the large ladyfingers at the bottom were slower to soften and hard to scoop out. The coffee soaked into the ladyfingers was pretty strong and the bitterness was a nice contrast with the mascarpone cream. Their prices are very reasonable. The pokérrito and tiramisu came out to $19.90.

Generous portion for protein and lots of options for the toppings: I got spicy tuna and salmon with mango, cilantro, pineapple, jalapeno, radish, edamame, spicy seaweed and crunchy garlic. Not a ton of toppings, but enough to put together something good. The prices are fair - the pricing is based on the number of protein scoops you want, and includes 5 veggies with unlimited sauces and standard "sides" (which are really just more veggie toppings), which is enough that you probably won't need to add on extra and bump the price up, although there are premium options like the kale noodle base and masago that cost extra. The tofu bowl that I ordered was fresh and tasty. I ordered with the kale noodle base, and they were really good (pretty stuck together at first, though), but I'm skeptical of the $2 upcharge. Overall not the most memorable, but seems like a safe option for something quick, fresh, and healthy. The shop has kind of a sterile look, but it's clean and the staff is nice.
