I took my pants in over the weekend to have it altered, and while I knew it wasn't going to take one hour because of the mound of others they had to do, I offered to pay double the price to pick it up that same day. At other places, I pay $8 for alterations that take several days, so why not pay $10 to pick it up that same day? I wish i knew this place earlier. i've been to several other places to alter my jeans and it came out to be either too short or too long, didn't quite fit right. friend of mine introduce this place and OMG!!! Generally happy. I was happy that they altered my clothes from one day to another. Being that I had to leave out of town the same day I picked up I could not try on my clothes. When it came to wearing them they were a little tight on me. It was not same measurements that they took. So I went back the next week to see if the could take them out but without charge because it was there mistake. They still wanted to charge me for a mistake that they did for measuring wrong. read more

Very bad experience. I was pretty clear on how I wanted to shorten the sleeves on my blouse. She chose to do it a different way. I told her this was not the way I wanted it and she Shrugged and said it was the only way she could do it. And said she had my phone number why didn't she call me. She knew I was unhappy and that she had ruined my blouse. But she had no problem charging me. I would not recommend this place read more

If you need any alterations, this is your place. Any clothes, leather jackets, zippers, even curtains. They have never turned any of my request down and they have never ruined anything and that is a rarity. Very friendly service and reasonably priced. read more

We have been coming here for many years and have been pleased with the work done - pants, jeans, jackets, coats, skirts, dresses. Yes, there have been times that the work was delayed by about a day but turnaround is usually very quick. Costs are comparable to other alteration shops. This place is small and I missed it a few times trying to find the place. The parking is super tight as that plaza is very small. Other than that, they do great work here. I had a leather jacket altered here and can't even see where they shortened it! I wish their set up was a little better but I won't complain since my clothes came back nicely tailored. read more

Love this place! Mr. Lee is very friendly and accommodating. They have tailored many articles of clothing for me including my wedding shirt, work shirts, and swim trunks. Lee, The owner of this shop is a wonderful and very impressive businessman. He remembers his customers, he pays attention to detail, and I don't think there's much in the way of sewing that he can't do. He's done many alterations for me, of almost every variety, including remaking a beautiful leather coat. I just needed slip covers for a design job I was working. He made beautiful covers in just a couple of days. He also solved a problem for me on covering a wall with fabric that saved my client a lot of money. He made my friends wedding dress, and I've referred him to at least 30 people...everyone loves him, and his staff is very nice. It's a joy to do business with such a man! I had four waist coats/vests custom tailored here. I bought the fabrics, and a model to measure the cuts. Lee did a very good job, and I love them. On the last one, he reversed the fabric and I was not happy with it, so he made a whole new vest for me and did it the right way. It looked great. He is busy and has more business that he seems to be able to handle sometimes. But if you call him and remind him to get on your job he gets the business done. Thanks Lee! read more

Worst tailoring ever, they did not complete two of my orders and the two they did complete were of extremely poor quality. Why would you taper a pant leg from only one side which leaves the crease off to the side. Will never ever take any of my clothing to this place ever. Wow did I change my mind about this place. Is there a option to give them zero stars? Where do I start. I got one pair of pants altered one time and that went well. Then I asked Lee the ignorant little owner of this place if he does leather. He replied that they do everything. I had a leather belt I needed shortened. I brought my belt to Lee. I paid ahead of time which was a terrible mistake. He took my belt and said come back in 3-4 days. I came back in 6 days. Belt was still not done. Finally I got ahold of lee who told me give him two more days. I gave him two more days came and got it and brought it home. Tried it on with a outfit one day and realized it wasn't shortened enough and it still didn't fit. I called Lee he said to bring it back and he will shorten it more. I brought it back. Called back a few days later to check on the progress and all of a sudden Lee didn't know my name anymore. He played the dumb card like he couldn't speak English well and he didn't remember me all of a sudden and hung up on me. So obviously I drove right down there to figure out where my belt was. I get there he is there and I seen his demeanor change and he starts playing the role like he's never saw me before lol. He finally acts like he remembers and finds my belt. I look at my belt and he didn't even shorten anymore or make any changes to it. He actually scratched the leather on it. I would steer clear of this shady little man and his establishment. Not a safe place to bring your belongings. Long story short, I gave him $25 and still don't have a belt. read more

I normally hate reviews like the one I'm about to write, but I feel I need to write it anyway. I can't speak to the quality of the work done by Best Alterations, but I can speak about their kindness. Two months ago I had a terrible day during which my cellphone broke, and I needed to use a phone. The guy at the front desk kindly allowed me to use his for 15-20 minutes, with no comments or complaints. Really nice people, nice, clean store, and the "vibe" in there was good! read more

I have been super happy with the pants/slacks/jeans that I have gotten hemmed at this place. The owner is friendly, welcoming and I was impressed that he remembered me after coming in more than a year ago to get some pants hemmed. Service is super quick (same-day pick up) and you can't beat the price at $5/hem! The quality has been consistent so I am sorry to read some reviewers stating otherwise. I haven't tried other types of alterations with this place but their hemming service is tough to beat in terms of the results and the price! read more

Recently I had a dress that I had altered with some other tailor. The alteration was terrible. I brought it to lee and he fixed it for me. He did a great job of listing to me and fixed it perfect. Let me start by saying I've been taking clothes here for about 10 years. It used to be great and I could get a pair of pants hemmed by the next day for $5. I've taken him bridesmaids and prom dresses as well. However as years have passed, he's raised the prices and the $5 1 hour hemming as advertised on the door NO LONGER EXISTS. Also, NEVER done by the time he says they'll be done. The last 5 times I've been he says "ok give me a couple hours, come back later." This last time I gave him 4 casual knit dresses to hem (just a hem) and not only did he charge me $20 each (about what I paid for each dress originally) but they weren't done on time and one of them wasn't done at all and another was hemmed way too short. So now I paid $80 and 2/4 dresses are not wearable. Last time my husband brought him pants they ended up too tight in the waist and too short as well. And we still spent way too much money on the tailoring. I've said this before but this time I mean it, I'm not going there again. read more

My friend recommended this place to me awhile back, so I thought I would give it a shot. I brought 2 suits. I needed the blazers and pants altered and they would charge me $202. I came on a Tuesday and they told me it would be done by Saturday. I went on Saturday to pick it up and they said they only got 1 suit done and they would finish it by Monday. I am a Manager at a brokerage firm, so I needed my suits right away. So I was frustrated a little but I let it slide. Then I came on Monday and they said they have not even started on the 2nd suit. The guy didn't even care that they did not start on my suit. He said that it is prom season and they are trying to get those done first. I was furious because he was joking and smiling about the situation. He said sarcastically, " how bout Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday". I told him that his customer service and deadlines/promises to finish alterations were unacceptable. I asked for my 2nd suit back to get it done by another company. The man said," sure, get it done in another place, we are trying to get these prom dresses done." All I know is that they were charging me $202 for a half-ass job.
