Nice, but definitely a little predatory. Beware of how easily upcharges are introduced, especially…read moreif you're not familiar with how this spa structures its services. This may not be the place for you if you struggle with boundaries or are used to full-body treatments that include things like a scalp massage or comfort elements as part of the service. With the Relache Spa, everything is an "enhancement" and the technician is skilled enough to say it in a way that sounds more like a courtesy than an add-on. I scheduled my appointment with ZERO enhancements. For example, during my massage, the technician asked, "Would you like me to massage your scalp as well?" As a Black woman with various hairstyles, this is typically framed as a courtesy or optional comfort check--not an upsell--so I did not interpret this as an added charge. Similarly, during my scrub treatment, the technician mentioned how cold the room can get and said they sometimes place an eye mask on guests to help keep the body warm. In my very drowsy, sleep-deprived state, I assumed this was part of the service and meant to help--not another enhancement being added to my bill. The staff was polite and professional, but you'll need to be very alert and firm to avoid unexpected charges. Beautiful views and good champagne tho!

I am glad to have Relache in the county as an option. It was very nice and comfortable, but in my…read moreopinion, it does not live up to the Gaylord brand. Most notable, the furniture is old, tattered, peeling and should be refaced or replaced. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before going, because I might not have gone. I'm glad I went and would go back! Overall, it has my seal of approval for a middle of the road spa. They have a sauna, whirlpool, and steam room. The facility was well maintained and the staff was friendly. Blondelle was my masseuse and she did a great job. Double check that your definition of a full body massage aligns with theirs before going. Parking was conveniently free.

We just moved to Alexandria so we wanted to check out what this is like in case we want to come back. Our spa pass included a mimosa and access to their outdoor pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and relaxation lounges. There were also snacks and teas in the lounges. They also provide you with a locker, sandals, and a robe, and all the towels you'd ever need. The outdoor pool was fairly small but there were several places to sit outside with umbrellas so we enjoyed our time there with the view. The sauna was like the saunas in most gyms so I didn't spend much time there but I enjoyed the steam room for sure. The only reason I'm docking a star is that I don't think the spa pass was worth the $100pp it would have been normally, as the amenities were pretty standard and the women's locker room was pretty small. It def makes sense being in the MGM resort and can be great for guests but I'd rather spend my money at a standalone spa like King Spa that had more unique offerings. Still was a great day though and great to know this is right there in case we wanted to come back or try a massage etc.

Best salon in the DMV!…read more Been coming here for a few years now for facials, and it is always a refreshing and relaxing experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff make me feel welcome and comfortable. The ambiance is clean and calming, with some hot tea available in the lobby. The estheticians are always professional, gentle, and attentive. They take time to assess my skin type and always give me a few skincare tips for home. After each session, my skin feels soft and hydrated. I always leave feeling pampered and glowing!

From the moment I walked in I KNEW this was going to be an amazing experience! First impression is always the welcome of the staff and the reception area. Both were immaculate! I was greeted with an enthusiastic welcome and an encouraging smile!! Loved that! After a very brief wait in the serene/relaxing reception area, I was led to the back. I was given an outfit to change into (you're fully clothed during the Thai massage) and it was soft and very comfortable! I had an "idea" of what a Thai massage was so I wasn't blindsided when I walked into the room and saw the pallet; that the massage was to take place on, on the floor. This type of massage doesn't take place on the typical massage table. The whole vibe of the room was a mix of a relaxing spa and HEAVEN! My therapist came into the room and the magic started!! While stretching my body, she found knots on my body that I didn't even know I had! She contorted my body in ways I didn't know it w could bend! She then got a walker and began walking on my back...my legs...my feet, my arms...my hands...you get it! The only place she didn't walk on was my head (they offer a separate massage especially for your head and I plan on checking it out as well)!! The head massage is called an "Indian head" massage . My body is usually riddled with constant pain (especially my hips and legs). Can you imagine my excitement when I got up from the floor and there was not a pain in my body to be found?!!! I got the massage on May 12th and to this day the pain has not returned (it is May 19th)!!! They close out the session with a wonderful cup of tea! *Ahhhhhh* I have now added this massage into my budget (I want this once a month for sure)!! I'll come back and update this review with the details of the massage for my head!!
