The only "complaint" I have is that the falafel/shawarma bar isn't any everyday thing (and because it's both so good and so limited, the lines can get kinda long pretty quick). They were at the Norcross Farmer's Market this past week. I bought a bag of freshly baked pitas home and served them for dinner. My kid literally devoured the entire bag over the next 4 meals. She finished them in less than 2 days and asked for more. Thankfully, I had grabbed their business card at the farmers market and found out that they have a store. So off to the bakery we went today and she was glad to find more pitas instead of having to wait until the next week for the farmers market. They are tucked in the back of the street but not hard to find. So glad to have found a great bakery! read more

Words escape me when I try to describe the delicacies from Best Bread Baking Company. Challah is the best I have ever eaten. I may never bake my own now that I've tried Eli's, whose loaves truly have the lightness of clouds. The pitas are unlike any I have ever purchased. They are. billowy and as good , if not better, than any ones I've had in the Middle East. Their chocolate--covered, custard-filled doughnuts are the best doughnuts my family has ever eaten -- and they like doughnuts. We can't wait to try the borekas we purchased, which I imagine will be as good as the other prepared items. I drove quite a distance for this first-time visit, but I might just drive to the moon and back if the food is always this amazing!! read more

Just a fantastic bakery. Visited for the first time about an hour ago. Bought ciabatta, some huge almond croissants, the great looking pita, hummus, an artichoke/pesto round flatbread, and after telling them That my family and I were just back from Germany (where we ate some great pretzels), they threw in some of their own Pretzel bread for free. As soon as I got home, had half an almond croissant and half of a pita with their homemade hummus on it. Both were outstanding. Who knew the best falafel in Atlanta can be found in an office complex off Peachtree Industrial Road? Best Bread is so mysterious that there isn't even a sign on the door to let you know you've found it..the only clue is a red "OPEN" sign. Fortunately my brother (of Toneto Atlanta fame) had the scoop, so I went to check it out. The restaurant itself is merely a makeshift counter and a couple small tables. Most of the building is devoted to baking some of Atlanta's most delicious breads, including the best pita this side of the Western Wall. The menu is short and sweet--several Mediterranean classics for incredibly reasonable prices. My falafel sandwich was only $4.50, and it was stuffed with huge green falafel plus salad and tahini. I'd also recommend their Foul Medamas, Za'atar Bread, and poppy Babka. Experience this place before the secret gets out. read more

I agree with David Z. THE best falafel in town. The falafel comes in a pita pocket with fresh hummus, tahini, and salad. The falafel has a nice crisp outside and a perfectly textured (not to soggy or hard) inside. It also has a slight hint of lemon which I found refreshing. They have a herb-y spicy sauce you can add to the falafel sandwich which is awesome. The chicken schnitzel also comes in a pita pocket with hummus and salad. They top if off with a green sauce that was way too salty for me. Without utensils, I had to dump out the salad with the green sauce in order to get to the good stuff, the schnitzel. The schnitzel and hummus + salad (w/o the green sauce) is great. Next time I'll just order it without the sauce. In comparison to the falafel though... falafel wins. read more

Ooooh this was delicious. Since going to Israel a couple years ago, I've routinely craves tasty falafel around Atlanta. And the flavors here are spot on. Very simple falafel pita, giant falafels, salad, tahini, hummus, and squeeze bottles of sauces on the side (the spicy sauce is awesome, and you can never have too much tahini let's be honest). They are NOT CLOSED. They aren't exactly a retail store--they mostly operate wholesale and the place looks deserted and a bit like a front, but they will sell you pita if you wait patiently and ask. And it is the best pita outside of the Middle East. We just bought some in June 2018. They are still open. read more

By far the best bakery I've found in ATL. They go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. Unlike several other places in the city that makes thier bread with a load of perservatives Best Bread bakes fresh every day. The only downside is with a lack of perseveratives it does not last a long as many of us are used to. But really do you want to have bread that lasts only because it's loaded with chemicals? read more
