When I saw their rating so low, I kind of felt "Phew! Not just me!". A woman answers my phone call and interferes me when I am talking, "So, what's this regarding, ma'am??" Clearly she has no patience in listening to my explanation. - Too busy to listen to your customers' problems? Not our problem. Sort out your manning situation. Don't take it out on us. - Don't like your job answering phone calls? Not our problem. Find some other job. Stop driving your customers away. I explained to her what my problem was, she said "Alright. Sounds good." Well. Your customer has a problem with her TV that she bought, and that sounds good to you? You seriously re-consier career change. The manager by the name of "Bandelee" is also condescending, inpatient and loud. She sounded more like "Yeah. Whatever. It was someone else who dealt with this. Not my problem. Not my fault. Yeah, I will let him know you called. Bye." No apologies offered :) It's sad how these people automatically become very defensive and aggressive when dealing with complaints. I came in about 2 weeks ago for a 2 in 1 desktop. The guy that helped us was extremely helpful in explaining all the pros and cons between the different models. Not only did he know his stuff, he made it comfortable and provided his personal opinions. It made it feel more like he was genuinely helping then trying to make a sale. I ended up getting the Lenovo 2 in 1 and was happy with it for the time. But I then started to notice it would take a while to log in every time we started it up. We took it back and returned it within the 15 day return policy with no hassle at all. I got the iMac instead and so far it seems great! This locations seems really clean and organized and the staff are really helpful. Would definitely recommend this location. read more

I had the worst experience I have ever had with any Best Buy employee, maybe with any retail employee ever... I was told by a day manager and on the Best Buy app to come pick up my product that I already paid for. The return line was about 10 people deep, and when I got in line there was only 1 cashier doing returns. I think after 10 mins, the manager noticed another 5 people got in line after I did and finally 3 more cashiers were working the return line. After another 10 mins, it was my turn and the transaction took less than 5 mins. Pretty painless but the wait sucked. read more

My son and I visited this store to understand what was needed to allow for the gaming experience he was seeking on a new laptop that we did not purchase from Best Buy. The associate from Geek Squad showed us excellent service, made recommendations, and took us to where the hardware we needed was located. He was patient and even though he was posted behind the register at the Geek Squad, he did not hesitate to come from behind there and walk us to where we needed to be. He answered all of my son's questions and rung us out. He proceeded to take it even a step further by opening the hardware and demonstrating to my son how to use it and properly detach it from his PC. This was an amazing experience. read more

This Best Buy had a huge selection of appliances - from high end to low end. A lot of Sales, good deals on displays and New In the Box items too. Several commercial and Professional appliances were displayed and available for sale. Mostly Viking. We had three separate reps check up on us during the time we were there, and they were kind enough to give us our space to shop as well. All other reps (outside of the appliances dept) were rude or ignored us. Their restrooms were very dirty. Disgusting. read more

Worst customer service ever from "Billy" in mobility. I came into best buy to have a zagg screen put on an ipad like I have for all of our other ipads and phones. I first went to geek squad who indicated mobility now puts the screens on. Billy in mobility was assisting an older couple and asked if I could come back in 20 minutes as he needed to activate a phone. He asked if I was aware of the $14.99 fee to put on, I said yes no problem. I asked if I could leave it vs. waiting 20 minutes and he said sure; I came back a little over 2 hours later and he still had not installed. He then tells me to go back to geek squad which I indicated no, as they sent me to you almost 2.5 hours ago. I was then told by Billy I was not a paying customer since I had not purchased the ipad or screen through them, I indicated I was a paying customer i was there for a service that I was paying for. Billy was arrogant and talked down to me, likely because I was a woman and my husband was not with me. I asked to speak to a manager, I spoke with their GM Brenda Lee was assisted me in geek squad but not before I was told I had to purchase the zagg screen through Best Buy as that is there policy. I asked when it had changed as I typically purchase from zagg or amazon as several times I have come in and they are sold out. Her reply, yeah we sell alot but cant help you today if you dont purchase through us, oh and we dont match the price today since its Cyber Monday (although I purchased the zagg through amazon 11/4 and what I was purchasing at Best Buy was regular price) Matt and Alicia who ended up helping me at Geek Squad were great, they also had never heard of not being able to install a zagg screen that a customer brings in. You do register your screen through zagg and they send your replacements and they do install those. It can be an issue if they "mess up and dont have one in stock to replace" but you can accept that liability. This review is based only on the geek squad. I had to take my sound system in for repair. Even after making a dumb appointment had a long wait. Took 4 weeks to come back and then they lost my speaker wires and power cable at the repair shop. When I picked it up I had another appointment but it took an hour past my time to get helped. read more

Probably one of the best experiences I have had at a Best Buy. The staff is friendly and I had multiple reps ask if I needed any help. Over Xmas my dishwasher decided to die, so I went to Best Buy just to get an idea of what choices were out there. I knew I wanted stainless steel, but had no idea what else. With the salesperson's help I found a machine I liked, so then I trotted off to the Lowe's on Happy Valley Road (between 99th Ave and 107th Ave. in Peoria) to see what they had. Same machine, same price. The BIG difference is that Best Buy saves me $119 in delivery and installation fees. I went with Best Buy and found the installers to be thorough and excellent when the machine came to the home. However, the very biggest different in Best Buy vs. the Lowe's on Happy Valley was the salesperson. The short, Hispanic guy (forgive me, but I forgot his name--was it Aldo?) went out of his way to explain how to help me find what I was looking for, explain how to work it and it's benefits. He was not on commission either, cause I asked. He just was a caring and detailed salesperson. He even sent me a receipt I never got from the company on his own cell phone! He went so far beyond what anyone else did that I am a Best Buy booster now. So, when the next week my microwave went out, too, I went back and bought a new one at Best Buy. I recently renewed my Geek squad thech support online but apparently that doesn't sync with all your purchases at the store. So I was forced to go look for a receipt at the house. And now that I have it I'm going to the Best Buy and Avondale. Because this is where I live. And even though arrowhead it's either my way I use to go there because they used to treat people right. I bought a Blue Yeti Mic from this place. It was very nice, very versatile in usage; VERY versatile. I like the vibrating function of the mic. My wife loves it. Silly me, why do I keep coming here? I must be a fool. Went in tonight to purchase a stabilizer gimbal for my iPhone. Online says it's in stock at the store. I arrive at the store and look for an employee for about 15 minutes. FINALLY, I see someone. Walk over to him, state that the product I need has a sign that says to "See a person in a blue shirt to help you with this product". He looked absolutely dumbfounded when I told him this. Anyway, I walk him over to the sign and he again looks like he was just dropped on earth from another planet. Looks at the sign and the product description and proceeds to tell my son and I that, "Yeah, this is uh, this umm, this is for purchase only." What? No kidding, so let me get one please. He just stood there and looked into space. Finally I'm like, "Dude, do you have these in stock?" I have been a long time customer of Best Buy and have bought numerous appliances, TV's etc. Recently I purchased a digital frame as a gift for Mother's Day for my mother in law on April 29, 2021. Someone had to assist her with setting it up which did not occur until the end of May. At this time it was found to not work. I went into the Best Buy at Arrowhead and was told it was out of the 15 day return policy. I called the 1-888-237-8289 and was told that with my Elite status I had 30 days, which was still out of the return policy. Elite Plus members have 45 days however. Which seems like discrimination. This frame was purchased for $174.71 and because of this situation I will NEVER purchase from Best Buy again! I hope this was worth losing a long time customer. read more

Shocked but not shocked that best buy has a 2.5-star rating. So here's my issue. I buy a 1000.00 Definitive Audio soundbar. I get a good deal on it as an open box item. The salesmen assures me there's no issue with it and if there is, BEST BUY "will take care of it no problems, It has the same warranty as a new one" 3-4 months later it breaks, Sounds like everything is underwater. They tell me that the warranty is up on it and that my only option is to have it repaired by the manufacturer. I'm ok with that. They tell me to leave just the soundbar, that they do not need the subwoofer.... 5 weeks later I hear nothing from them and I am wondering whats going on. I go in, they tell me they were trying to contact me because they needed the subwoofer to repair it. I didn't receive any word from them because they had all the wrong information on me, nothing was correct on their record except my name... SO, I bring them the subwoofer. They tell me they will rush the repair for me in compensation for the inconvenience. A month later they call me and tell me "we can't fix the soundbar that I have been approved to get a NEW bar for replacement". All I had to do is call my local store and This information would be in the system. I call, the manager tells me all he can do is give me store credit Because "YOU GOT TOO GOOD OF A DEAL ON THE SOUNDBAR" we CAN'T give you a new one. All we can do is give you store credit and you can purchase a new one at full price. I then ask for my old soundbar back so I can have it repaired by an outside source......... They tell me no I can't have it back because I signed a contract to fix it, and if the can't that they would give me my money back or give me the equal or greater item in return. well, I don't want my money back I want MY PROPERTY BACK. Or an EQUAL OR GREATER item in return. It's been more than 2 months without my soundbar and I'm told that ill have to wait an undisclosed amount of time till they get a new Openbox buy and then renegotiate what they want to sell it to me for, or take STORE CREDIT. And those are my only options. Well, I definitely don't want store credit because I will never buy from BESTBUY again, and I am very passionate and serious about that commitment. COSTCO and Amazon have equal to better deals anyway. I almost made the purchase from Costco in the first place I just ran into a good salesman at BestBuy and made a bad decision and purchase from BestBuy. Since moving in 2014 to the West Valley I have been a customer of Best Buy Arrowhead. We did all our tv, and computer purchasing, and joined Geek Squad. Without my authorization, this year Best Buy ungraded my Geek Squad account without my permission, for which I had paid $70 per year, to Best Buy Totaltech at $212.59. After over an hour on the telephone they agreed to refund the unauthorized charge fully. They did not. They sent a receipt for $207.27 credit. I do not understand why they felt this was a wise business decision to bundle everything (Geek Squad, Trendmicro and support). I already have Trendmicro so they would be charging me twice. I am 77 years old and on a fixed income. This is unacceptable. I went to leave a review on their website under Totaltech and the website indicated no further reviews are being taken. Wonder why? Made an appointment to get a battery replacement for my iPhone. At least they could get me in the next day, unlike the Apple store. The Geek Squad was about 10-15 minutes behind, but it was alright. Once the agent checked out my phone, he said it would take 45 minutes to replace. So I wandered around the store for a bit, but there was nothing that I wanted or needed. I went to ask if they would have my product available and so they went ahead to tell me yes but it would be available the next day. After that which is today I left the store extremely unsatisfied. Not only did I get a credit card with this company but I was advised that the product that I should really want would be here. Unfortunately that was not the case and I understand. Some products are more popular than others.
