Every time I go into the store it is so hard to get someone to assist me. There's tons of people standing around, helping other employees which I get it. But don't tell me that you'll be with me in one moment and then I look up you're gone and you never seem to be on my way. Went to Best Buy today after researching my appliances online. This was the only store that had what I wanted. Before I went I checked out Lowe's there customer service was ok. Then Home Depot a lil better. Then I decided to look for everything online. Once I found it all at Best Buy I went to look before buying. Brenda the store manager greeted us and was so nice then Robert took care of us. It was so easy and even cheaper then I thought. This is my first big purchase from them I will update after delivery. I usually don't like coming to this Best Buy only cause I wait at least 10 minutes for someone to offer me help EVERY TIME. As soon as I stepped into the Apple section on Monday Clif was there in seconds to offer me help. I was so thankful because there were so many questions I had and I knew nothing when it came to Ipads. But he was very patient with me and reassured me on any and every question/ concern. I purchased an iPhone with warranty from this store in Feb 2019. We were having a battery issue and visited the store on Aug 25 2019. When I arrived and explained the problem I was told by Dave that it will only talk a few minutes to check out and to follow him. Once we diverted to the geek squad area I was told by Dave I needed an appointment and there were no appointments available until Monday. What type of service is this??????? Came in for a store pickup. Website had for reasons passing understanding setup half of my order here and the other half in a Best Buy across the valley. I asked them to help and they told me instead to call the 1800 number, where I spent 10 minutes literally trying to get past "special offers" and survey questions and could never actually talk to anybody. I couldn't use the website to do the same as it was broken. The folks in the store just said, "that's how it works, nothing we can do". If I could rate this store a zero I would. And after speaking with Andrew Howlett this afternoon I know why this store is a mess! We had one instance of this store not honoring the "Best Buy price guarantee" that Best Buy states clearly throughout the store. Then we're told to call customer service about it and after over 3 hours on the phone, it never was adjusted. We returned to this store last weekend to see if it had improved from our last experience over a year ago and it has just gotten worse. Twice in our store experience that day, two different items were labeled with a clear price yet price was not honored on first item at all. Salesman didn't even apologize. He just said " Oh I guess it was marked wrong and walked away". The second salesman made us feel like we were bothering him when price was yet again "Accidentally marked wrong". Then I speak to Andrew Howlett the manager regarding this and like both of his salespeople he clearly has no idea how to treat a customer or what customer service really means. No, Andrew, the "No interest for 6 months" won't help us now. I already paid in full for the item. Do yourself a favor for the store and all it's employees: Go back to management classes and while you're there: Try honoring your prices as posted! My first time buying a phone online from Best Buy, nothing wrong with it, it was refurbished but I didn't expect that no original box, no original cord and plug-in. So while waiting I can just start talking to her. So as you can tell by the previous review, I was pretty impressed with the prices of various products on my last trip to Best Buy, but wow the costs for their services is ridiculous. My parents bought me a car stereo on Christmas Eve. As I picked one over budget I paid for the installation. And as it was the last one on the shelf, I also bought the installation kit for my car since no employee was around to help me, I figured better safe than sorry. The kit was $22 and I was still charged $80 for the installation. So basically I paid $102 for the installation. I was however impressed with the speed in which the stereo was installed. Forty-five minutes. But still $102 to install a $162 stereo? Its my fault for not doing some shopping around first. Fry's Electronic has same stereo, $10 more and $20 install. Audio Express has the same stereo for $37 more with $1 install... Service here is usually never good for us. The employees kind of just ignore you; but it's the closest best buy to home so we just put up with it, but this is the last time we will. I DO NOT recommend this best buy to anyone. So here's what happened. I had bought an iPod at this best buy December 2011 and I had bought insurance on it. So every time it gets broken I get a new one but I pay for insurance again. I've broken it a few times since I bought it. Their policy/insurance/whatever changed; I went in April 2013 to get a new iPod because mine had fallen and the screen just completely shattered and i was told I didn't have to pay, that now you only pay once a year which is cool. So I got my new iPod and blah blah blah fast forward to November 2013 my ipod just isn't working it's "disabled". On the screen of my iPod it says "iPod is disabled try again in 22,965,105 minutes" it's been like this for a few months so I just forgot about it left it in a drawer, and then remembered about it so I thought I would go get a new one. So I go wait in line at customer service, get told to go to geek squad so I go wait in the geek squad line, finally get service from a not so nice employee, i give her the iPod and I tell her what's going on with it and she says she has to plug it in to see if it works so we should walk around for a while then come back. So I do walk around, 15 minutes later I go back to geek squad and she tells me it was just dead....I really wanted to be like "no sh*t Sherlock" but I kept my mouth shut, she says my iPod is locked out and that she cannot do anything about it, that I should go to apple. Like are you kidding. This is your only job and you can't even do it. I feel like she didn't even try which is what made me so angry. Let me save your time for anyone contemplating to shop at Best Buy. They have time and time again provided nothing other than atrocious customer service. Every single one of the employees currently on payroll should be sent to extensive customer service classes because it is clear that none of them have any sort of customer relation whatsoever. Speaking to this specific Arrowhead location: I had purchased a laptop sleeve online on bestbuy.com and had set for the order to be picked up in store at Arrowhead, which is the only location near me that had the particular item in-stock. My fiancé drove down there once we received the email and text notifying me that the item I ordered (and fully pre-paid for) is ready for pick-up. The moment my fiancé entered the store and stood in line to pick up the item, he already knew that they had (which is still mind-blowing to me) prepared the wrong item. I ordered an Isaac Mizrahi SOLID PINK 13" laptop sleeve. The item THEY prepared for me: an iPad flower-patterned case. The moment my fiancé got to the counter, he told them right off the bat that they have the wrong item. The interaction (below): (Handed staff his ID and gave them his name) Fiancé: That's the wrong item. Staff: No, that's the right item. Fiancé: No, that's the wrong item because that is an iPad case and not a laptop sleeve. I have the confirmation number right here if you want to take a look at it. Staff: Oh, you're right, that is not the right item. Several moments passed... Staff: We must have had a trainee get it and they must have grabbed the wrong item. ***It bears no significance to us as your customers whether the staff who grabbed the item I ordered was a seasoned employee or an employee that has only been there for a day. The point is, YOUR staff had grabbed the wrong item, which again I can't even begin to comprehend how this was even possible given the STARK differences between the two, and telling me that a trainee must have messed it up is in no way a compensation to me for the inconvenience I have incurred as a result of your inability to properly train your clearly inadequate staff. Manager came by. Manager: Oh! They must have grabbed the wrong item. He walked away to grab the item himself...which he took over 15 minutes to do so even though it was clearly stated that they had the time readily available in store for purchase (again, inadequate staff even in a managerial position). He came back and handed my fiancé the item. Manager: Here's the item. I'm sorry for the wait. Manager walked away. Item was scanned and handed to my fiancé by the original staff he dealt with at the counter. Not one word was uttered to my fiancé throughout this. ***My fiancé called me when he got to the car and told me everything that happened to which I told him to go back into the store and hand the manager himself back the item I ordered and told him that I no longer wanted this item because he has clearly wasted our time and I do not wish to spend not even a cent of my money to a business that could care less that they have caused such an inconvenience to a paying customer whom are the reasons retail companies anywhere are still in business: Consumers' hard-earned money. Fiancé: I want to return this item. Manager: Why do you want to return it? Fiancé: Because my fiancée is pissed off at you guys for messing up the order. My fiancée doesn't want to shop here anymore. Just terrible. Not one person acknowledged us the whole time we were there. We walked in to a group of their LP dudes cracking jokes. Best Buy is not what it used to be. They only have TWO rows of movies (including DVDs and BluRays). All of the movies they have are new. Atrocious selection. We left with a bad taste in our mouths. Very disappointing experience trying to get troubleshooting assistance. Geek Squad initial contact stated that I just needed to be logged in to my computer and that tech support would be able to remotely re-connect my wireless Brother printer to my network. Not true and after three (3) HB hours working with the tech the connection dropped and they didn't reach out to me. I then called Geek Squad Arrowhead and was put on hold for another 15 minutes but nobody ever picked up. I'm not sure if it's just pandemic burnout for the entire country or not. I appreciate that this people who are still working are undoubtedly totally overworked. I appreciate and thank them for being there for us. I'm struggling to figure out how to get the goods and services we need, without getting the Covid. Terrible. Just terrible customer service and management. THIS STORE WILL BE OUT OF BUSINESS VERY SOON UNLESS BIG CHANGES ARE MADE. AVOID THIS STORE. On purchasing a Kindle for my mom as a gift, my daughter and I waited for 25 minutes for someone to come and unlock the glass so we could get the Kindle and pay for it. No one seemed to have a key except one guy in the store. He was behind the register chatting with a customer about tech BS. I asked for they key and I got, "Hold on let me take care of this customer." The tech jackasses roaming the floor didn't have a key, and wouldn't try and get one. There were as many employees in the store as customers. I should've left and taken my business elsewhere, but it was hot and I wasn't feeling well, and I needed to get the gift. Finally one girl tech non-jackass employee felt bad for us and interrupted the key guy and asked if she could get the key as we had been waiting a long time. When we finally went to pay, it took waaaay too long to get through. We had a series of upsell questions in a very pushy, rude manner. Unfortunately we had to return the Kindle. My mom did not like it. Wouldn't you know it, one day late on returning for a refund as I was in the hospital and dealing with cancer treatment issues. They would do a store credit. I understand policy, but it was the way they went about it. Very rude, the manager had terrible service and communication skills. Employees must be getting minimum wage and treated like crap at this store. The guy who gave it 5 stars on here said avoid the geeksquad and google instead, that's just poor customer service, since it's a major part of Best Buy. Very long review ahead...you've been warned. The greeter was great! It's funny how you immediately feel welcomed (by the welcomer) and then immediately want to walk straight back out the way you came the moment you interact with another employee, only to be very politely and kindly said "Have a great day" to by that same greeter. Talk about the worst Oreo ever...only the cream is replaced with a pile of...you know. BEWARE OF RUDE GEEK SQUAD EMPLOYEE: I don't remember the guy's name (he definitely did NOT make me feel welcomed when I came up to the counter so I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible because of his poor customer service), but all I wanted to do was ask a simple question wondering if his team was able to open laptops and replace fans, and very smugly he interrupted and responded with "Yeah I can open it," but when I mentioned that it was an MSI GS66, he proceeded to give me attitude, roll his eyes, then pull out his phone to look up what my computer even was (come on man, MSI is one of the top gaming computer companies and this is one of the top gaming laptops out there right now), and what the inside of the computer looked like, and I tried to tell him that I knew it was complex because some Best Buys refuse to even touch gaming computers. Elaboration of how he gave me attitude: He kept interrupting me when I was trying to explain that my old laptop's fans were attached to the motherboard and not many Best Buys wanted to risk opening and fiddling with it, so it's difficult to find anyone experienced/confident enough to replace parts (MSI just makes very complicated machines. My last computer had fans attached to the motherboard and not many stores wanted to disassemble it because of the complexity). While TRYING to explain the issue with my fans in my old computer, he interrupted me by showing me a video on YouTube he found of how to disassemble my current laptop (so you guys rely on a 10 second search for YouTube tutorials to disassemble laptops?) and said "Your fans are attached to the heat sync" and I wanted to be like "I know, I would have told you that, I was just talking about how my older computer was complicated and I know this one was complicated too," but I think this guy just wanted his ego stroked and tell me what he knew about my current laptop??? He continued interrupting me and said "Well that's up to the guy in the back" then immediately turned around and walked away to APPARENTLY ask his tech if he can replace MSI parts. He came back and said "No we can't," then asked what was wrong with it. I told him nothing was wrong, I was just wondering if this store was able to deal with the complexity of my computer (I've had fan issues with an older MSI model, and so far have only found ONE Best Buy that was able to replace my fans, but that was when I used to live in California) in the event that something did go wrong with my computer. I'm new to this area and just want to know where I can go to get help. He kept on interrupting me asking what was wrong with it, but I kept insisting there was nothing wrong; I was simply in the store while my family member did shopping elsewhere in the store and figured I'd ask (what I thought to be) a simple "yes" or "no" question. Even during this exchange, another employee came up to him to ask him a question and this guy even gave HIM attitude. This guy was darker skinned, maybe middle eastern, a little heavier set. I even walked away without saying "Thank you" just because he was so rude, kept interrupting, this guy needs some serious help his customer service/people skills. Word of advice to this guy if he's reading it: Don't interrupt customers when they're trying to explain their situation to you, don't roll your eyes, don't act so smugly in the beginning only to be outmatched by a much more complicated machine than you're used to then get salty just because you can't fix it. What could have been a simple "How can I help you?...[avoid interrupting the customer]...Sorry, I'm not sure what the inside of the computer looks like so let me look it up...that looks very complicated, let me go ask our tech to see if he can...sorry he said he can't do that" turned into a much more complicated conversation with an annoyed employee who keeps interrupting and trying to stroke his ego. read more

I came in about 2 weeks ago for a 2 in 1 desktop. The guy that helped us was extremely helpful in explaining all the pros and cons between the different models. I ended up getting the Lenovo 2 in 1 and was happy with it for the time. But I then started to notice it would take a while to log in every time we started it up. We took it back and returned it within the 15 day return policy with no hassle at all. I got the iMac instead and so far it seems great! When I saw their rating so low, I kind of felt "Phew! Not just me!". A woman answers my phone call and interferes me when I am talking, "So, what's this regarding, ma'am??" Clearly she has no patience in listening to my explanation. - Too busy to listen to your customers' problems? Not our problem. Sort out your manning situation. Don't take it out on us. - Don't like your job answering phone calls? Not our problem. Find some other job. Stop driving your customers away. I explained to her what my problem was, she said "Alright. Sounds good." Well. Your customer has a problem with her TV that she bought, and that sounds good to you? You seriously re-consier career change. The manager by the name of "Bandelee" is also condescending, inpatient and loud. She sounded more like "Yeah. Whatever. It was someone else who dealt with this. Not my problem. Not my fault. Yeah, I will let him know you called. Bye." No apologies offered :) It's sad how these people automatically become very defensive and aggressive when dealing with complaints. That is typical of those who do not have the patience and genuine interest in customer satisfaction. Shame. read more
