GEEK SQUAD EXPERIENCE: A total waste of time. I made an appointment to get my screen fixed. Upon arrival the employee stated she had to run a diagnostic. I told her the phone was fine, the screen is just cracked. After waiting 35 mins, the diagnostic was completed. She stated my phone was perfectly fine. Then she proceeded to tell me to ensure I do my updates etc. Ummmm I am pretty sure she could see that my phone was on automatic updates since she did have it in her possession for over 30 mins. Anywho, after her irrelevant speech, she told me they didn't have the part in stock and that it would need to be ordered which could take 7-10 business days. She suggested I go to Austin. My frustration was that I am almost certain she knew the part wasn't on stock when I arrived. She should've told me then instead of making wait over 30 mins. Very dissatisfied with this service. My experience there was so uncomfortable and awkward. I went in to purchase a laptop that I seen online and after waiting around in the laptop section for nearly 30 minutes I was approached by an associate, didn't greet me, didn't ask me anything, just stared at me until I asked about the product. Then he informed me, like I was five, that I was in the Microsoft section, not the Google section (nothing was marked to indicate this) and that I would find what I was looking for over there.... ok.. where is there, he signed like I was the problem and took me over there and handed me the laptop. As my sister and I walked in we were warmly welcomed by the person in the front. Going to the section to find the item. there was no one to help, so my sister did as most people do went and asked an associate. Well I guess he forgot he was at work and was more inclined to finish his conversation with his co-worker. So they sent a wonderful associate who did not mind assisting us. Excited they had our product we went to buy the product and the older female cashier to the right of the line pretended she was too busy to help us. Got scammed by scammer on computer and had to deal with the bank and the bank wanted me to take the computer to Best Buy so I did. They cleaned off the scam but not another computer isssue I had. They took out my battery without telling me and said it was edematous and I had to buy a new one. I had made the mistake of buying the year coverage but that wasted money. First battery they told me to buy didn't work in the laptop. So I returned it and bought another one. I went in today at 1:30 PM got told I needed an appointment to put the battery in to the computer which is just a resolution of the first issue that I took my computer in for. Told me I had to wait until 5:20 PM for an appointment that day. I went to do other business in Killeen. Came back at 2 pm because they would try to fit me in. Left at 2:45 because they didn't do shit to fit me in. I left town, I live 40 minutes away and went to my local computer store because I have a much better chance of getting service. Maybe they will resolve the problem that Best Buy created. So don't buy the year extension on the service just pay for the service because these guys don't care about customer satisfaction or providing service and you will end up having to go somewhere else to solve the problem. Kudos to their customer service dept, I know that's a tough job! This experience with this location was short and sweet. Nevertheless, it was still a great experience. I needed to return an item that I didn't have a receipt because I got it as a gift. I was worried I wouldn't be able to so I was ready for the bad news, but I wanted to come in and ask anyways. My husband and I just moved into the area and decided to go to Best Buy to get a washer and a dryer. I normally don't write reviews based on just service but we were mindblown of the OUTSTANDING customer service we received by: Ashlee and her general manager, Jamie. With all the questions that we had about the promotion and discounts on the washer/dryer, as well as opening up a Best Buy credit card (which Ashlee had to call the bank for), we realized it was 25 minutes after their closing time. Yet, Ashlee continued to be her incredibly friendly and bubbly self, showing no signs of impatience or annoyance. Her general manager, Jamie also showed such great kindness, patience, and made us truly feel like valued customers. The best part about this place is how the employees look you dead in the eye and then walk right past you. I say, "Excuse me" to get their attention, and they just either keep walking or say, "oh, this isn't my department". I also like the fact that when I called to this location, they let the phone ring... and ring... and ring... and ring... and ring. That just makes my day! OH and to top it all off is when you walk in with your husband - holding hands and everything - and as he waits in a line that takes forever, you walk off to look at something and an employee hits on you! Came here just because I was in the area & wanted to see what this location carried :) As soon as I walked in, the store has a awkward smell, like something died. The AC was on, but it didn't make the store cold enough to notice the AC was on, maybe that has something to do with the smell. This store was confusing & not well sectioned off, everything seemed to blend in with each other, didn't work for the environment of the store. All the workers seem to be in the front of the store being that the phones were there. When I walked towards the back, I seen about 2 workers stocking things. In my opinion, they need to remap this store to make the WHOLE store live & catching, not just the front. After walking into the Killeen Best Buy store we noticed a large curly haired man sitting at the entrance and when we said hello he ignored us and continued playing games on his phone. I purchased a pair of earbuds from Best Buy in Killeen, Tx on January 14, 2019. At that time I was told by Able the return policy was 30 days. Well what a surprise when I tried to return/exchange the earbuds because they simply won't fit in my ears and the return policy is 15 days if you're NOT and elite member. I take full responsibility for my part in this issue because I never looked at the receipt and went off of what the salesman told me. However I would encourage Best Buy to train it's employees to NOT state return policy during the sale and simply inform the customer to refer to the return policy on the receipt. I have never heard anything good about Best Buy in Killeen but I was oh so surprised when I couldn't exchange them or get a store credit for $200 earbuds‍! I still need a pair for the gym so getting my money back was not the issue I just wanted some that fit. Sandy proceeded to REFUSE me since my DL was NOT valid. Everything matched my DL and order confirmation. But she would still not release my (already paid for) items. This place has to be the most disorganized Best Buy I have ever been in. I was with my family shopping for cars, and decided to pop in to get my mom a movie that she said she was wanting. The moment I walked in, I was like "Oh my god, this place is just as hot as it was outside." I told my brother let's just get in and get out, which was easier said than done. We went around trying to find the movie, and everything was a mess. Nothing was were it was supposed to be, displays weren't working, there are miss spots were TVs are supposed to be, and some of the TVs were just off. So we are there, searching for a movie and sweating up a storm because it's so hot. We noticed no one, and I mean no one was social distancing. With everyone sweating, touching everything, some people were pulling down their mask. I was like, we have to leave when we grab my mom her gift. After I found the movie, my brother told me he wanted to pick up some gaming headphones. I was reluctant, but might as well. We looked all over the place, and we managed to find a display where you can test out the headphones. Surprise, the display didn't work and wouldn't matter because there weren't any prices on them. So he decided to look else where. We look at the line, which for some reason was as long as a Black Friday line. People were all clustered together, the line was literally by the entrance and exit so people were passing each other by. It was at that point I said screw it, I'm just ordering it online. I was done with this mad house, and frankly I don't know how much longer I could survive in the store with how hot it was. I put the movie back, where it was actually supposed to be, placed the order while I was leaving the store, and left. I am so thankful that my Best Buy that's by my apartment is cleaner, organized, and above all else has their AC on. After 18 months they charged me 333$ for interest because I found out interest did recur in that 18 months, which I was not informed. Went to Bestbuy to see if I could just swap them out for AirPods. They had ME speak to 3 separate employees about whether or not they either had them available or in the shipment just received. They didn't so wanted to return the Sony's and get the refund for the AirPods we paid for. Bestbuy told us it'd have to go on a gift card. Wait, what? After arguing with their employee about it not being our problem/fault they refunded the amount back onto the card. All because they didn't want to take the hit for the refund. Would've gladly reordered if they could expedite the order and handled it PROFESSIONALLY. But instead gave me the absolute WORST EXPERIENCE from the KILLEEN bestbuy that I've ever had. I do appreciate having a store that actually stocks some things that i need - but I usually go to FRYs electronics in Austin or Altex if I really need someting on less than emergency basis. Getting help in this store is difficult at best and useless when you actually get it. I ONLY trust Best Buy with my car because they have LIFETIME WARRANTY on their work. A different Best Buy damaged one article during the install and Mr. Danny T. at the install bay made it absolutely painless to repair. His dedication to customer satisfaction is unusual for anyone I have ever seen working at a big non-family owned place like this one. I recommend to anyone wanting anything done to their car to have it done at the Best Buy vehicle install bay.
