Drove an hour to this location to pick up a TV that wasn't in stock at my local store. The online order had been changed to reflect the Milpitas store as the pickup location, and somehow the extended warranty hadn't been transferred. Me: "So it looks like the warranty didn't transfer to this new order. Could you please help with that?" Manager: "I can sell you a new warranty." Me: "But I already paid for the warranty. I don't want to pay twice." Manager: "Hmm I'm not sure why it didn't transfer. How about call our 800 number?" Me: "I've already spent an hour at my local store trying to get this TV and drove an hour to get here. I'd rather resolve it now." Manager: "Try downloading our app." Either Best Buy doesn't care about empowering managers to help customers, or she didn't care about helping me. read more

For the most part I'd stopped shopping at Best Buy many years ago. And even the handful of times I've gone in, mostly left empty handed. But they had a Black Friday deal that was $160 better than the best I'd seen elsewhere, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Just confirms that I made the right choice years ago. I purchased online, with in store pickup, thinking how bad could it be. They had four people behind customer service desk, but with a pickup line at least 40 people long, only one was handling that department; the others were doing returns or something. AWESOME! My 1st "Drive and Pick Up" service couldn't have been more amazing! I was Puppysitting and brought puppy with me. Parked in Spot #4, clicked my BestBuy handy URL that "I'm here now in Spot #4" and promptly rcvd a 4 digit code. The Best Buy agent came out to my car within 5 minutes and I showed him my 4 digit code. I was truly impressed with how easy, fast and efficient this "Drive and Pick Up" service was! Standard Best Buy. Great helpful sales team. Generally well run and friendly as one comes to expect from Best Buy. Prices for TVs seemed to be very competitive. Some open box ones toward the back even better deals. Time to upgrade to smart tvs people!! Looked at the automotive cell phone mounts and wasn't impressed with the variety. So few stores stock the magnetic ones that fit in the air vent. They are so simple yet effective. Walked past the Dyson fans. Absolutely appalling service, came in to cancel geek squad subscription, and the staff kept on walking away, like they had no intention to help me, went back and forth with them for 1 hour, then told me that they were unable to help me and I have to head to another location to deal with my question. Mediocre customer service. Manager tried to help me in every way possible, which I appreciate. In total I came in for over 1 hour and got nothing done. Come here with very low expectations! This location just remodeled and it's resulted in a downsized sales floor. I'm assuming they're using the newly gained space to fulfill in-store pickup, in-store fulfilled beatbuy.com orders. The sales floor is incredibly downsided, selection is limited. This literally is the consequences of decline in brick and motor sales. The sales floor looks amazing and it appears the walls are the focal points for TV, appliances, computers and printers, then petite size aisles for accessories to make those goods work. They just appeared to have reopened their sales floor after closing down for about a month to remodel. Looks nice and quite honestly, it's more relevant I'd have to say. read more

We needed to replace our kitchen range as our oven developed a problem where it would not adequately heat. Simple repairs did not help. After purchasing a new range at a competitor-to-Best Buy, we found that they could not deliver our range until perhaps some time next February - 2 months. We were led on to believe it would be before Christmas. We went into Best Buy despite the Covid virus, as the store was doing an excellent job of "metering" customers into the store. The interior was very lightly occupied. We found 3 ranges to our liking. The sales clerk Hayley fully researched all of them for us -- finding delivery dates, warranty, etc. We bought one that we could get delivered and installed in 3 days. All promises were kept and the delivery and set-up in our home was just great. Many thanks to Hayley, She did an excellent job. read more

This review is for Manager - Andrew. We came in really frustrated dealing with a non working gas stove from LG. We had been dealing with online customer service and with LG directly with no resolution for the last 2 weeks. Not to mention eating fast food for the 2 weeks as well. We spoke to Andrew at the Milpitas location and he heard our concerns. He helped us order a replacement stove with fast delivery within minutes. We really appreciated his great customer service. We would have avoided shopping at Best Buy for future purchases if it wasn't for this interaction with Andrew today. We also want to give a shout-out to Jaime who did not hesitate to call Andrew to assist us when we told him that we were very frustrated and wanted to speak to a manager. He also cared and stayed with us throughout our entire transaction. I am a big fan of Costco due to their customer service and for the first time we felt the same care from Best Buy. Failed Cyber Monday! Ordered for pick up at the Milpitas store same day. Gave them 5 hours, 24 hours...no pick up email. Chatted with customer svc who said it showed ready for pick up and that sometimes emails can be delayed. Went back in to wait in pick up line to be told order was not ready. No date was available, Geek said it could be 1 week , 2 weeks... however long it takes to get through 600 orders.. And now was just notified the order has been canceled due to processing error. I wish I purchased thru a more reliable vendor for this limited cyber sale price. No product and price no longer available anywhere.. read more

Made the drive to this location because the one near my house was out of stock on mobile refill cards. I recently switched carriers and grabbed my old one out of habit. Three of them, because who knows when the one near by my house will get them back in. It wasn't until I got to the parking lot that I realized my mistake. Went back in and the register girl (whom I just bought it from) told me I had to get in the customers service for returns. Waited an hour (Saturday after black Friday) in line only to be told refill cards were non refundable. I said, look I literally just paid for this an hour ago, nothing has been used or even open all I want to do is an exchange for the right ones. She still said no. Ah-ight b.... I go to grab the correct refill card, planning on getting only one now. I wasn't about to give them any more business than I had to. Something told me to try somebody in mobile. The girl I asked said yes so easily that she was a little taken aback by my sudden gratitude. Lol So all that other stuff they was talking about at customers service was BS. read more

Went here with one thing in mind: buy a TV. I knew the model I wanted. I knew they had it. I had my credit card ready to go. I went to the Magnolia area and there's one dude in there. Let's call him Lenny. He's helping other people. I hang out for a few minutes. No one is around. I ask Lenny if someone can help me. He says he'll call someone. A few minutes go by and no one shows up. I go to the regular TV department. No one's there either. I go back to Magnolia. Lenny doesn't acknowledge me and no one else is around. Needed a router and a modem and my internet service is AT&T who did not know the correct information. Thankfully, Blaine was a huge help in knowing that the modem had to be through my internet provider, and I could get any router from the Best Buy store. Fast forward a week and a half to receiving my provider's modem, in which it ended up being both router and modem, to which I returned my router to Blaine, who happened to be working the returns this day! Blaine remembered our conversation from over a week ago and had great customer service skills! Overall a great and knowledgeable experience! read more

Bad customer service. I was working 7 days a week during this period of time and little free time to return an extra USB drive I no longer needed. I arrive nearing closing time, and ask the guy at the front if it was okay and he let me in. I got in line to return the item and one of the employees refused to serve me and told me that the store was closed and to come back another day. I was not about to leave without returning the item, and the associate who let another customer cut in front of me and ring them up. In the end I was able to return the item and get store credit. To sum it up: Employees don't care about the customer and just want to go home as soon as possible. Customer service is lacking. read more

We asked to speak with the manager and they said he is busy, we waited for one hour and the manager was sitting right in front of us doing absolutely nothing. Best Buy is pretty good anywhere you go in the country. They have to be to survive when many of their competitors dies out. That being said this place hold's that gold standard and will take care of your electronic or appliance needs. I loved strolling through here when a friended was buying something from here. I used to love Best Buy, then I hated it, but the good news is that I love it again! They price match and they do it much faster than Frys electronics. With Frys it actually takes a bit of time and sometimes they make you go into a line if the discount is too high. Best Buy will do the price match right at the cash register. That's the way I like it done! They are very friendly and while they might sometimes be a little confused about what they have, they are normally on top of it. Last I heard some Asian company was trying to make them leave so they could build a new mall, but I honestly don't want that to happen as this place is close to me and they have more stuff than Fry's. What a waste of life. Geek Squad is useless. Made a reservation a week in advance for an iPhone screen replacement. The reservation even says "cracked screen, needs repair." Get here at the dude says they don't have the equipment to do screen repairs. Who's problem is that when the reason for appointment "doesn't come thru" into their system? What kind of rookie-TECH-company cannot procure info that was given to them by the customer when creating an appointment? The reason for appointment is pretty important. Hi, this review is for Charlie(?)(tall big Asian guy) in the Mobile department. We came in hoping to get our promotional credit that was due to us during an iPhone BOGO deal that had expired 24 months ago. We had never noticed the missing credit in our Verizon bills until recently. It was very far fetch to ask something that old, but Charlie was very patient. He connected us to the correct people at Verizon and we were able to sort the issues out. He was very knowledgeable with the Verizon system as well. He told us what to expect, and sure enough, the Verizon rep said the same thing. A+ customer service. We were there for a good 2 hours I believe. Luckily it wasn't too busy at that time. read more

I went in last night for suggestions for a notebook and a printer for business/school and he gave more knowledge about the two than a year worth of lectures from my professors. He was amazing with his knowledge and research on the two. He went above and beyond and even showed us how to utilize blue tooth capability when printing directly from phone to printer. I came here to exchange a laptop for another laptop, and the person helping me (I think his name was Tin?) was super helpful and recommended me ones that were within my budget and good for my everyday basic use. However, during the check out process, Tin? had to leave because his shift ended, and I had to speak to someone at the computers/registers at the computer section of the store. Unfortunately, they weren't as friendly and clear on how they were trying to help me, and made me wait for a long time before getting back to me. While it is nice that there is a 15 day return policy, it should really be extended because most people find issues with their computers AFTER the 15 days. So sneaky :O read more

Basic average Best buy store. Seems to be a bit smaller than the one that I normally go to in Union City but they still have all the same electronics there. Parking is nice and easy and they is much room. The service was fast as I needed to just return one item after christmas/holidays. They also have a ton of eateries around this location too which I love! read more

Walked in the store, no greeting or anything. Walked to the line for reruns and there were two people in line for order pick up and one person working. Waited about 10-15 mins to try to get helped, I was skipped in line for someone else in order pick up. The worker who was working had made communication asking if I had a phone return, and said that someone would be right with me, which was another 5mins. The guy who helped me was not as happy employee, but he was no help what so ever. For the time I made my purchase the cashiers had not stayed the return policy for their Apple products which is also not clarified on the receipt. Customer service is not great. They don't help out their customers as much as hey should regardless if your over the return policy an exchange would have been good for better service especially as a Best Buy member and credit card holder. read more

I went to Best Buy and I was told by a agent at customer service that my brand new laptop that I brought here a little bit over a month ago which I hadn't used besides to only set up my log in is now not remembering my fingerprint or my log in, and I tried to reset the computer and it's not working. I told him that I haven't restored anything because it's brand new. He immediately brought the manager Shawn who looked me up and down in a very unwelcoming way and told me without even looking my laptop that I have to take it to the Apple store because we don't provide any Macbook assistance here. I was surprised and shocked so I called my friend who helped me to buy the computer and he was five minutes away, so he rushed over really quick to come to help me. Me and my friend went to the counter and asked to speak to a manager which another manager instead of Shawn which was a girl came over to assist. She had gone and spoke to Shawn to see if there was another way to fix the laptop. The suggestion that they came up with was for us to take it to the Best Buy in Oakland, which we live in the SouthBay, so why do we need to drive all the way to Oakland since there are numerous Best Buys in the SouthBay? So my friend made a call to another Best Buy in Mountain View to see if they were able to look at the laptop and they said to bring it over. He also asked them if the Milpitas location serviced Macbooks and he said yes they all do and while we were sitting there we saw another Geek Squad tech hand a customer a Macbook that they had just repaired at the counter. We were both like, I thought they didn't repair Macbooks? So we told the nice woman manager thank you, we will try somewhere else. So we drove to Mountain View and they took time to troubleshoot the issue which was about five minutes and reset the computer because it was having a hardware issue when resetting. So they reinstalled the OS and gave us the laptop which was very nice. I immediately returned it because I didn't want to have any more issues with it since it was a brand new laptop and I was very disappointed with my experience at Best Buy with Shawn. I felt like Shawn racially profiled me by telling me the only Best Buy that could assist me for him to assume is Oakland which is way far away from where I live and didn't even attempt to even look at the laptop or to check with the Geek Squad. He gave me wrong information and treated me bad. I can't believe Best Buy puts this kind of unprofessional and ignorant employee in charge to discriminate and mistreat customers. read more
