Unhappy with Best Buy today. Bought my 2nd LG OLED TV in a couple of months there last week. Also bought their premium membership, whatever it's called. Scheduled the deliver for a week later to avoid the freezing weather. Today (Tuesday) was supposed to be the delivery day and they sent me an email early this morning confirming that. Midday they sent 2 more emails, both of which said that I had NOT scheduled an appointment and that I should do that for sometime FRIDAY. It was confusing. Would have been clearer if they had opened with "We Screwed Up." But I had to call them to get an explanation, which was, They Screwed Up and the warehouse did not have a TV for me. Pity the poor souls who don't have a Premium Membership! So, I bought a TV, which was scheduled for over a week like it existed, and then in the span of 5 hours, it did NOT exist. My wife's MACBOOK was locked up due to general ineptitude, and I brought it to Lia G. the technician at the service desk. She was extremely helpful, very patient and understanding about my wife's senior citizen computer ineptitude. I overheard the technician next to Lia also helping a senior citizen. I don't know how they stay in business, especially with the low quality employees. I pre-ordered a game for pickup since best buy was the steel book exclusive. I even canceled a different order from Amazon because of it. They not only said they didn't have steelbooks, but then said that I would have had to "add it" when I ordered it. Even after showing them they are advertising it, with pictures, I walked out with what I could have gotten anywhere else. Not worth the pick up and got ripped off by the false advertising that the employees couldn't care less about. Purchased a $700 stove in New Braunfels for my house in Rockport. I was told that the stove was in stock at the Rockport store and one would be held for me until I picked it up. 8 days later I arrived in Rockport to pick up my stove and there aren't any available in the model I purchased. In addition, the Rockport store can't find my purchase order on the computer because the New Braunfels store never entered my info after I purchased the stove. It took the NB store nearly an hour to confirm my account info for purchase in spite of the fact that I've had an account there for 20 years. In Rockport, it took them over an hour to finally find my purchase order from NB and after all that, told me they didn't have my stove in stock. I will NEVER purchase from Best Buy again. Wanted to buy a couple movies but when I Went to the checkout all the registers were closed and I was told to go to customer service. I waited at customer service for about 5-8 mins while several employees walked by the desk without acknowledging me at. An older guy with grayish hair just scoffed at me when I asked for help, so I just left without purchasing anything. December 31st I bought 2 tvs and 2 wall mounts. Appointment set and was to have delivered and installed. Told by installer he only had 1 of each and the inventory was off. But they were going to try and pull from another store. No such luck with that. so I bought a 3rd TV, 1 size smaller and in the meantime starting the claims process to get a refund on 1 tv and 1 wall mount. Now is February 7th. I have spoken to 5 employees and am still waiting that credit on 1 tv, the wall mount was already done. Good thing I paid the extra for partial install and a warranty. You sure took it out of my account fast.. did you have to take a loan to credit me back? If you are unable to secure the funds for my refund then drop off the damn tv and I will take it to another store to get the money back. Your company just sucks read more

Best Buy has the worst telephone system I have ever experienced. When I called Best Buy phone number I was constantly transferred and then disconnected for over 90 minutes. At one point I fi got to speak with one representative who put me on hold for over ten minutes. He returned and said that he would connect with me my local store and then I was disconnected again. Afterwards I tried contacting the Headquarters number. That representative stayed on the phone until another representative answered, put us on hold and then called the local store in Selma, TX. I'm not sure if the phone service is like this with other locations but this makes no sense. read more

I'm going to keep this review blunt and to the point. My roommates and I were in BestBuy, cash in hand to purchase a speaker. However, we were attempting to find the best speaker with the best range of sound. Just as we were about to branch out and find an employee (as we hadn't seen one come near us in some time) a gentleman in a black shirt and long beard approached and told us multiple customers had complained and we needed to stop and should leave immediately. We proceeded to tell them we were looking to purchase their $500.00 Sony speaker and he simply laughed at us and told us there's no way we could afford that. Appalled by his behavior we told him we had the money to do so now and he again laughed at us and told us to get out. We proceeded to let him know we'd be buying it from another location and his behavior would be reported to corporate. We are not phased as we absolutely CAN afford it. Even though I made an appointment in advance. I paid for the battery. A week later I get a text that they needed to talk to me about my service appointment. Came to this location, picked out a TV to buy ($1300.00) and COULD NOT FIND ANYONE to help us actually buy the TV. We walked around for about 10 min and never saw anyone that actually worked Here. I asked a security guy at the front door if he Could get someone to help us and he tried butNO ONE would answer His calls on the radio. I walked in the back storage area and saw a bunch of guys in black shirts but no one ever acknowledged me. I saw another black shirt in the store and asked if he Worked there: he said "no, I'm warehouse" and walked away. Would give 0 if possible. We ordered a large costly tv and added on the delivery and mounting service for an additional hefty charge. We set a date for delivery and install for wednesday. They give you a window of 7a-7p so you have to take off an entire day of work. Okay - so Wednesday morning we get an email saying we never scheduled delivery....???? We call to figure out what's going on and the customer service says that we did have delivery scheduled however they are unable to come out and we must reschedule for the following Tuesday. When we went in the store to buy the tv they gave us many delivery dates including Thursday so we are confused why now there is nothing available until the next Tuesday. Whatever. I call and try to ask WHY they are unable to deliver on the date we set. Got hung up on twice before speaking with someone semi professional. They informed me there was no notes on why the tv was not able to be delivered. For the amount of the tv, delivery and mounting, we paid too much for this to happen. On top of having to take a day off work for nothing. Wound up canceling the order and went to Walmart instead. I expected better from Best Buy. What a shame. Will not be doing business here again. I'm going to be honest and just say how disappointed I am by this local Best Buy. First of all, the customer service representative by the cell phones did not address me, didn't answer my questions, and basically ignored me. Secondly, I came back to apply my 10% coupon to the iPhone I purchased and it took the supervisor close to 10 minutes to even find that the 10% couldn't be used on Apple products. Ridiculous! Mind you, this is after calling Best Buy customer service TWICE and them telling me that I COULD use the coupon at the store in person. I'm highly disappointed with the coupon sent via email for opening up a Best Buy Credit Card. I hate to write a review based on one experience gone sour. So this is really 2 visits that didn't turn out so well. The first was about 6 months ago. I wanted to buy a Mac laptop...so ventured over to my local Best Buy in New Braunfels. Turns out, they don't carry Macs at this store. Really? I had to go all the way to San Marcos to find my computer. The second experience happened last week. I needed to buy a new stove/range for my kitchen. Online they have tons of models to choose from. I always do my homework before going in. When I went in, there were very few models to choose from. It just so happens that they did have one model I had read about and narrowed down to one of my choices. I needed a gas stove that converts to propane. Turns out, most gas stoves come with the conversion kit for propane. Anyway, I see a sales rep helping a guy in the appliance department. He is on the phone, obviously talking to corporate, or whereever, helping this guy. I stand there patiently waiting my turn, for about 20 minutes. The store wasn't busy. After waiting for so long, I hear the sales rep say something about moving contacts to a cell phone. Wait a minute....this guy doesn't even work in the appliance department, and has seen me for the last 20 minutes standing there, and not even offered to call another sales rep who actually works in appliances? He gets off the phone, and I calmly say "Let me guess, you don't even work in this department". He looks at me and grins...the other customer is kinda caught in the middle. I pretty much come unglued, and he finally calls another guy, who comes and helps me. Guy #2: After asking several questions about different stoves, I realize he has no clue what I'm talking about. So I finally pick out a stove, and ask that he make sure the propane conversion kit is included. Again, he has no clue what I'm even talking about. I look back and realize that I should have just walked out. But we are in the middle of a remodel, and didn't have a lot of time to run into San Antonio or go to Lowes. Bought 8 security cameras, hired Geek Squad to install all 8. Long story short they only installed 4 cameras. Returned cameras because they didn't record audio like stated. Exchanged for different cameras 8 total. Today they were supposed to arrive between 8-12. They never showed, no call, no text, no email, nothing. I don't recommend Best Buy. I definitely don't recommend Geek Squad as they don't hold accountability for the third party installers they hire. If you don't value your customers money or time, then I'll gladly take it elsewhere. read more

I bought a phone from Best Buy New Braunfels and when I needed a new screen protector, I went to them. I was told they didn't carry protectors for that brand, but to order it online. I did and when I received it, I took it to the Geek Squad and asked them to install it. I am a senior citizen and was not comfortable trying it. They asked if I bought the protector online and I said I did because a Best Buy clerk told me to. They said they are not allowed to install screen protectors purchased online. Geeks is right! I went to Mobil Phone Geeks in Market Place mall and a young woman installed the protector and did not charge me anything. I won't go to Best Buy again for anything. read more

I've never had any issue with this store. The staff here have been helpful and there when I had a question. I went there and purchased my new phones and they installed the glass screen and cover. There was an issue with the glass and they replaced it without any questions. There was a issue with the batch of screen protectors they received so the refunded me for the two I bought.
