No issues but we looked first online which helped us have a game plan. Definitely recommend to all to at least check this spot out for discounted appliances. I would confirm they work before leaving since they are open box if they allow. Also we purchased insurance. Since you are already getting the item at a discount why not just spend a little on insurance to cover your basis (that is my opinion). We found the item online but went to the store to see it in person. We decided we liked it and proceeded to purchase it online as it was cheaper that the sign in store. The big thing to know is that this place is called an outlet store, it is essentially a clearance section. Just to level set (!!!). Also fair warning that this review is l o n g. You enter the store - looks like a Best Buy from the outside - and there's a sea of appliances. It's overwhelming!! These seem to be ones that may have gotten a dent on the truck, perhaps returned, etc. So again, to level set, think of this as a clearance outlet! Laptops were in the back left corner. They're generally all open box (as stated) and are locked in cages. The cages have different categories, HPs over $500, Lenovos under $500, etc. There are also Macs and tablets. Since the boxes are in cages, they can be hard to see, but you can see QR codes for every laptop to scan on your phone to check the specs. Boxes also all show the price and evaluated condition. Pro Tip: if there's a green sticker, technicians from the store have evaluated its condition; whereas a red sticker means that a technician at another store evaluated and then sent over to this outlet. Once you've decided which few you'd like compare, you should snag a sales associate. They may need to add you to the queue, which didn't take long, perhaps 5 minutes. Once they're helping you, they will take them out of the box so that you can inspect! Turn it on, check for scratches, test the keyboard - whatever you need. Pro tip: the warranty on the computer begins when YOU purchase it, even though it's an open box. So if it's 1 year, it's one year from your purchase date, not one year from when whoever purchased it first did it. Nice and simple. If there's a green sticker, I recommend you ask them why it is "good rather than excellent," "fair rather than good," etc. It may be downgraded excellent to good for having a finger print, a smudge, something that can be easily wiped away. Matthew helped me with comparing computers and throughout the checkout process. He was SO HELPFUL! They have a care plan called My Best Buy for $180/year. It's a subscription service that they say won't renew without permission (we hope!). If you need data transferred from your hard drive, it's $100 a la carte. Plus other benefits, including free 2-day shipping on everything from BB, 2 month return window on electronics (vs 2 weeks), tech support in store and online, and Apple Care. It made sense for me, especially since I purchased an open box computer. I likely won't renew after the year and will pay if needed. They definitely try to sell this to you, so if it's not something that you need, or it's really not in your budget, you can say no (!!!). Against my better judgement, I also opened a Best Buy card. This gave me 10% back on the purchase to apply to a future BB item(s). You can also choose 18 month no interest financing on your purchase (and forego the 10% back). There was a regular card and an upgraded card that I qualified for - regular is only for use at Best Buy, the other gives you 5% back on BB purchases and operates as a regular credit card anywhere else (I selected the latter). This requires a hard credit check, which took maybe 60 seconds. Happens fast! They definitely try to sell you on this, so again, if it's not the right decision for your situation, you can (and should) say no. After checking out, I called to make an appointment with the Geek Squad at my local Best Buy store. I would recommend making an appointment vs walking in just to guarantee they have time to work with you. You may catch them at a great time, or they may be swamped. Once all said and done, I made out with a $850 laptop for $500, plus the $180 care package. Deals vary, just as the inventory does, given the nature of the store. This process takes more patience than going to the regular store, and it helps if you have some flexibility with your timeframe (I did not). Ask as many questions as you need and remember that you can return if not satisfied with your purchase. Also, again, the mindset is key. It's a little more difficult to search and find what you like. Very disappointed by the employees of this store. I made an appointment last week to have a dash cam installed today 3/10/2025 @ 3:30 pm. I went into the store picked out a Dash Cam of their recommendation and got an upgraded SD Card. I drove to Rea Road and picked up and I was all set for Monday. The clerk told me that Carlos will be doing this and he has lots of experience with your car. I was stoked. I received a message earlier today by text asking if I will be there at my appointment time and I confirmed Yes. Upon arrival at 3:30 pm I was told that they are one hour behind. Naturally, I asked why didn't someone contact me. The guy at the counter just shrugged his shoulders saying that the Tech Carlos did not inform him he was this behind. I said I don't understand, you are checking people in and out how could you not notice? Silence. I said OKAY, please ask Carlos if he's genuinely behind 1 hour or will this turn into 1:15 to 2 hours before he starts because if so, I would rather reschedule because I was waiting there. I was assured that within 1 hour Carlos would start it. They got my car into the service area close to 4pm. I was thinking okay great. I waited and waited and finally I said at 7:10pm if Carlos is not done in 10 minutes, I want you to uninstall the Dash Cam and give me a refund. Carlos couldn't meet the deadline as he lacked experience on my 2024 Acura MDX. He couldn't figure out the codes that were coming up. Next, I ask the clerk for a refund, and he tells me that he doesn't have the authority to do so. So, he goes to get the Supervisor Michael, and he is gone 20 minutes. I'm like what is going on. I head to the front of the store and Michael is talking with an employee with no urgency to come talk to me. I finally get his ear and explain to him how I was treated and how poor the communication was. I said that I think the right thing to do would be to refund me the $99 install fee. After talking to the techs, he decided that he would only give me $50 off. I told him that I felt that he should do the right thing, and he said no. I said OKAY, just understand if you don't, I want you to remove all of the equipment and give me a full refund and I will go elsewhere. He said OKAY no problem we will take it all out. I said OKAY, for me it's the principal not the money. So, they would rather spend another hour to remove then give me the other $50 and have me wait there. Unreal, I said let's move forward and get the equipment uninstalled then. The tech popped out and said it's all done. I walked into the shop to find that Carlos forgot to install the upgraded SD card. Not a huge deal, but if I didn't catch it, I would have had to return again. I went back to the Supervisor and said listen they forgot to install the SD card. As we are walking back, I said I don't want to do business with you right now, you are being petty over $50. I said Take it all out. He said no problem. How long will it take, and he said 1 hour. I agreed because at this point it was purely principal. I sat down and looked through the window at 7:30pm and all 3 techs were working on another car that came in 2 hours after me. I went back to Supervisor and said what's going on. I should be the priority. Supervisor walks back to shop and comes out only to tell me that they will give me the install refund and only because they close at 8pm and they can't stay after 8 unless a vehicle is in the shop already. Being totally perplexed I said what a minute... So, you're now telling me after all of this nonsense they don't want to work past 8pm but I waited 4 hours on them? So now that's it's inconvenient for you and now you're willing to give me a refund? I was heated. Here's to upper management, this Supervisor needs more training. In a situation like this just give the refund and move on. We are not talking about several hundred dollars. It was $50 more! I'm disgusted the way that this was handled. First time buy with this store. The sales rep promised that the dryer we are buying would have all parts. He also assured us that everything on the floor is in good working condition. After driving the hour home, unloading & installing our dryer we came to find no power cord. And the biggest let down was that it doesn't work!!! There is no way to call the store to discuss the issue or even have someone come to exchange/fix the problem. I was told by the customer service team that I would have to drive the dryer back to the store to confirm that it doesn't work. Then, they could figure out next steps from there. The company does not answer their phones, and you cannot book appointments for installation online. We had an issue with a stereo that they installed two years ago. We were essentially told they couldn't help us because they no longer sell Bose car audio products, and this is a wiring issue - at the time that I purchased the unit and install, I was told that wiring and installation issues were covered. The team was not at all helpful, and the manager Brooke Siviter wasn't willing to do anything to assist us except insist that we should purchase a new stereo from them because it would be warrantied - if we can't trust that they'd warranty the product we purchased two years ago, why in the world should we trust that they'll warranty the product if we purchased it today? My friend bought a bunch of products for her house. She had called and spoke with a employee at the store about doing a exchange because of problems with a Sony 55" TV. The employee told her to return to the store for exchange of TV. I am a friend of hers and told her I would return the item to the store today. I bought TV into store. The manager of the store told me that they would not except the return . I don't understand the return is still within 60-days. She also has month to month protection for 24-months. I was given the wait a second finger by a staff member who proceeded to say, " I'm trying to listen to the headset. I waited another five minutes at the repair desk waiting for some help. As I hear the sale associate with red hair and beard laughing with another associate in the back. He and another associate finally emerge from the back. I asked for help from him yet again. Chris and Manny have been working with me to get my washer delivered. Chris original re-ordered my washer because the one delivered was damaged significantly. A floor model was picked and It was scheduled to be delivered last Friday but something happened and I never got my washer. I Went into the store and spoke with management and Manny. Manny handled my situation professionally. He reordered a new washer so I can get it sooner. He went above and beyond which I loved. Bought a new refrigerator on Labor Day weekend. The delivery date at first was one week out, then 2 weeks out, then it was on back order....the refrigerator was finally delivered on October 26...but it had a damaged door. Today (November 9) a new not damaged refrigerator was supposed to be delivered. After waiting all day, I called customer service to find out when the new refrigerator would arrive. Customer service gave me a new delivery date. It would have been helpful if I had been informed of the change. I would not have sat at home all day waiting. I should have gone to Lowe's, Home Depot or Amazon for this expensive purchase. I will never buy anything from Best Buy again. Manny is not a customer friendly manager unfortunately. Not only does he treat his employees badly as he sits on his butt all day, he is even worse with the customers. No employed complained to me, this was strictly by observation. Below were just a few of my issues buying appliances from this store. 1. I bought a TV and it was to be delivered with the appliances I bought. I received an email notification for a cancellation of the the TV. I went to the store and of course they had no explanation as to why the order was canceled after I had paid in full. Good ole Manny had a solution for me to buy another TV, more expensive of course. The refrigerator I bought free of scratches or dents came delivered all banged up. I am still waiting for a replacement. I ordered a stove and it came banged up worse than the fridge. The second more expensive TV I bought. they failed to deliver but did send a guy out to mount it. I ended up having to back to the store while a new hire rang me up for an entire hour. Manny wasn't running the AC that day so employees and customers suffered in hot conditions. Here is the best part. I bought an open box certified geek squad IPAD and it came contaminated by multiple phishing and malware. It was so contaminated it could not be fixed by APPLE. Did Mr sit on his butt all day many give a crap, Nope. Offered no better deal after I ordered 5 appliances. TV 55 inch LG. And half of every purchase was damaged. Please send Manny to management schooling or let him go. He encouraged me to write this review blaming his boss. Pretty standard as far as Best Buy goes. Unfortunately Best Buy is what most of the US is stuck with for a basic electronics store. I used to like shopping here. Joined their rewards program and bought a bunch of pricey stuff so I could get gift cards and continue the cycle or buying. The electronics on offer at Best Buy, with the exception of maybe some TV brands and the best cellphones on the North American market, are never the best in the world in my opinion. It makes me miss the massive Japanese electronics department stores with things we in the US never new existed. At Best Buy they often, in my opinion, have a slew of crap computers to sort of buffer the nicer ones. It seems to me a waste of space and time to even bother with those. They're simply a gateway drug of sorts so that the salesmen can walk up and offer you something better for too much more. The camera selection is also not great here - find a specialty store or go online! The prices in general are naturally a bit higher across the board. You are paying for the convenience factor compared to just doing your own research and buying online at Amazon for example. If you're patient and are willing to read the reviews and do your own extensive research I recommend doing that instead of coming here. If you must come here, I advise against falling for the "device protection plan". Unless you're the kind of person who destroys electronics on the regular. read more

Zero Stars for this store, in fact they should rename the store "WORST BUY". I purchased an open box TV with a promise they would deliver my TV within a week. During the second week, I received emails all along the way until a day prior to my delivery and then received a call telling me that the TV missed the delivery truck again. Does that sound familiar? (Read other customer comments) Again I received another call telling me that the TV missed the delivered truck and that the TV would be shipped from Charoltte to Atlanta and back to Charlotte. How do you think an open box TV would fair traveling back and forth? How crazy is that! I live 5 miles from the store! Now, they're uncertain when I can expect delivery. At Best Buy it often depends on the salesperson that assists you. There are really good ones and then there are very bad ones. The stores themselves are well laid out and display the merchandise nicely. I bought 2 Samsung TV's this weekend from Marvin and his demeanor, personality and knowledge was excellent. He was a pleasure to work with and answered all my questions. Unfortunately, one of the TV's had to be picked up at another store. This is a good size BestBuy store in the area. Normally I go to the one in Matthews that was the former circuit city location and it is a bit tighter. I did notice that I did not get greeted by the security guy at the front as I normally do in Matthews - but that's a trivial part of the shopping experience [but I did notice it]. The guy manning the video game aisles was pretty knowledgeable and answered my questions well. We also ended up spending a lot of time playing around with the Kinect demo in the store since my cousin could not make up his mind to make a big purchase or not. I am the same way, but when it comes down to it, I usually just grab and go. Buyers remorse sets in later, but I think the key rule is to go home and enjoy your purchase - don't go shopping anywhere else where the potential to see a lower price is pretty high. Sometimes that does happen a lot with bestbuy stuf (I find). The Apple section of this store is pretty impressive too. The staff are always friendly and polite, and the store is never overly busy. The store is buried in a plaza off of Pineville-Matthews road and now easy to spot from the road. Pricing is fantastic as with all BestBuys, though the store itself is questionable. I want to preface this by saying this has nothing to do with the store employees here. It has to do with Best Buy's terrible customer service. But, conveniently, there is nowhere on Best Buy's website to lodge any complaint and their customer service line doesn't seem to care anyway. So, I issue this as a word of warning to other customers. Bought a refrigerator on July 2, to be delivered July 10, 1:30-5:30. Delivery confirmed the day before, so we got rid of our old refrigerator. Reconfirmed delivery at 1:10--20 minutes before my delivery window was to begin. At 1:20 we received a text that they rescheduled delivery to July 19. Customer service lied to us multiple times with excuses for the delay. Delivery people arrived on July 19, were as nice as could be, except the refrigerator had two big scrapes across the front so I declined delivery. Only then do I find out the refrigerator went to Atlanta first--even though our house is less than 10 miles from the Pineville store. I can't even get credit at the store for the Total Best Buy membership--which I never would have bought had I known this was how bad their customer service would be. I get to call the customer service line again for that. I don't know that any company could try to have customer service this bad. i honestly never leave reviews but i'm honestly soooo frustrated i need to vent i unfortunately i have to leave a bad review because of their geek squad customers service. i have a 2008 mercedes' that needed a new aux cord fixed bc of the wireing which is fairly simple. i did try to make an appointment online however once going through all the prompting questions they could not confirm my appointment and told me to visit the store or to call. i called twice & nobody answered, i live in the north charlotte area so i go to the concord location bc that's the closest to me however they tell me that ONLY the pineville location does auto installations in the ENTIRE CITY OF CHARLOTTE (which should've been my first red flag) so on TUESDAY AFTERNOON i drive about 35-45 mins away to the pineville location (depending on traffic) to see what they can do. i get there and speak to guy and explain to him what i need. Best Buy's policy is that they charge you a $100 fee to even get the car looked at to see what the issue is so he schedules an appointment for me for FRIDAY AT 4:30 pm. however bc my service is so minor he comes out to my car and looks at the aux to confirm what kind of cord is needed. He does lets me know that there is a possibility they may need to outsource the part bc of how old my car is, meaning i may have to buy the part myself and then just pay that $100 fee for the actually labor instead of an inspection bc they still have to go behind the dash board to install the aux cord. The guy also said he would do some research on my car & they will call me prior to my appointment and let me know if i need to get the part in time for my appointment. i even emphasize to them that i need them to do that bc 1. they are far from me and gas prices are OUTRAGEOUS right now 2. i have to be at work that same friday at 6pm. & 3. i really want to get this fixed ASAP. I never received a phone call nor a voicemail about it, friday comes around and i decide to reach out to them to confirm if they have the part or not bc quite frankly i did not want to drive 40 mins for no reason. I KID YOU NOT i called best buy 10 times, selected every phone option over and over every time i called just to be able to speak to an actually representative bc their auto phone service was terrible and nobody EVER answered the phone. ALSO on friday i received an email at 10:45 am letting me know my 4:30 appointment has been canceled & then get another email 2 mins later confirming that my 4:15 appointment had been confirmed so i assumed they had just changed my time which was another reason why i was calling but nobody wanted to answer the phones. anyways i show up to my appointment and they of course are busy and helping others so i stand there for about 15 before even being greeted or able to speak to anybody. i let the guy know i have an appointment and that's when he begins to tell me they tried calling me ONCE but the line was just ringing so they couldn't leave a voicemail. now i'm not saying that's a lie but i just find it very hard to believe bc i was waiting around for 2 days for that call. i let him know i also tried calling and his response was "yeah we've been really busy today." he then gives me a piece of paper with a picture of the cord i need to order off of amazon & so i leave. all in all it's just really frustrating bc of the lack of communication and inconvenience i received & as much as i want my aux cord fixed i just don't think i will be going back to Best Buy for their services. a simple problem that could've been fixed with a simple phone call. i understand being busy & short staffed but at some point there has to be a better system for these things especially when peoples hard earned money is involved. & i've seen sooo many reviews about them not answering the phone so obviously y'all aren't even paying attention to y'all's reviews & it's honestly just so unacceptable. there were so many staff employees walking around Best Buy conversing not doing anything of significance, i genuinly don't understand why the phones couldn't be answered. anyways it is what it is. read more

There is a reason Best Buy PIneville that you have three stars and that's because of your lack of customer service where no one smiles at the customer service desk or anywhere in the store for that matter from the cashiers to the associates. It's as if you all are robots going through your daily routine. When it comes to knowledge of the associates it can be suspect because one day you'll hear one associate say something and you come back and another associate in the same department will tell you another. The only time I find consistency with the associates is when they're pushing the extended warranties - then everyone miraculously becomes excited. Where is the consistency in that? How would a consumer make a wise choice with conflicting information? The only time I visit this location is when I know exactly what I want from the research I've done and this is the only location that has the product in stock. I do dread coming here because it's truly a hassle, 5 years ago I would've given 5 stars because the associates actually cared, informed, and engaging. The worst. Someone in returns changes delivery date on our appliances without telling us. We just returned one item in our order and he changes the delivery date for appliances on the same receipt. Which gives me the unnecessary headache of having to call them several times. Being told i would get a call back (never did) and now having to waste time and energy trying to straighten this out (which apparently requires the manager or someone only in their geek squad could only handle). However they did have some really helpful team members on the floor. The management and people behind the counter could be better. read more
