I had an appointment to get my iWatch serviced. When I arrived, I noticed my name on the screen, but there were two people in front of me. Frustrating at first in this day of instant service BUT, the wait was only 5 min. so I was very pleased. The Geek Squad had already received my AppleCare work order. They completed some paperwork, then I was off in about 15 min. The watch will take 7-10 days to come in, so if there are any issues, I'll update. The "agents" were friendly and helpful. I asked about screen protection and instead of the overlay, they recommended "bumper cases", which I bought for only $9.99 Bonus, whilst waiting I was able to browse around like in a toy store! Staff was helpful and they assisted us in selecting a new TV as the recent lighting storm made ours stop coming on. When we checked out, I asked how long the warranty was and they said they could sell us a two year covers anything warranty for $180. I thought that's a good idea since we already had one that went out from lightning. When I got home I saw we were charged $180 for one year with the manufacturer already covered when we purchased it, and would be billed another $180 next year for the second year of coverage? So we were paying $180 for the first year which was unnecessary and an additional $180 for the second year. I found this very misleading and when we got home, call Best Buy and cancel the insurance policy saving myself $360 in two years. Very disgusted and disappointed. An employee named Dylan which is a female that greets people in the store. She started crossing lines that i thought wouldn't be crossed especially as an employee. I was with my boyfriend and i ended up walking away to look at the phones and the whole time she was flirting with my boyfriend and talking so poorly about me. saying how i don't deserve him and how hot and fun he looked. mind you we do not know this lady at ALL. i talked to one of the employees there and they said that she does that all the time and that she's even doing it to one of her fellow employees that do cell phone services and it also makes him feel uncomfortable cause i was told he was also in a relationship. I purchase a washer and dryer over the weekend at one of their locations. The sales person who assisted me was really nice and helpful. At the time I also payed the pedestals for both the washer and the dryer along with the teleTech membership which is 199.99. The sale person informed that the pedestals were not available until Nov 18 and that my washer and dryer will be delivered the incoming week. After I got home I went onto the brand site and noticed that I could get the pedestal the day before the delivery of my set. I called Best Buy customer service to cancel both pedestals and the membership and here is where the nightmare begins. The customer service rep assured me that he canceled both pedestals and the membership last night. Which was a complete lie. I asked him to send me a confirmation email for the cancellation which I did not receive. I waited until the next morning to call again and to my surprise he never canceled the items I requested to be canceled and he also did not document my email address correctly. The new rep I spoke to canceled the items and sent me an email. However I was told to cancel the membership I would have to speak to that department! I was transferred to another rep who told me that she could not send me an email showing the membership was canceled and she assured me that it was. Absolutely the worst Best Buy I have ever been to. With this store there is no wonder as to why stores are closing. The customer service is the worst that I have ever experienced. I purchased a iPhone 7 at another store and bought the glass screen and they installed it. The screen did not settle on the phone but they said to give it 24 hours. I took the phone back to the store where I purchase it and the happily changed the screen and once again the screen did not set right. They suggested that I try at another store as maybe they have a bad batch of screen protectors. Hence the reason for this location visit. I explained the story and was told that they could put in a new one but they will have to charge me for the install and it more than likely wouldn't work. Went to this store to get a software title on Wednesday, and so I could write a better in-store review on an actual purchase. I guess I haven't been in a recently built Best Buy, because I had a little trouble locating the software department in the expected location at first, but was quickly directed by the overhead signage. Once there, the feng shui layout of the aisles was a bit unnerving, and it took a few moments before I found the section for the title i needed. After I found the item I needed, the shelf tag was missing to indicate the sale price I had found online, and, in it's place was a confusing "apology" tag concerning an ad misprint that involved the item I wanted to purchase. There was no sales associate nearby to assist, so I thought to seek out one of the online kiosks for looking up product that I had remembered from the old Springtown store. I passed by several departments with sales associates gabbing, so I kept walking until I found a setup that resembled a kiosk. Sure enough, I was able to go online and find my item at the expected price. I then hailed down an associate for assistance. He was actually off-duty and said he had to go or else he'd get in trouble, but he took enough time to show me how to print the on-screen page and recommended I take it to the cashier if there were any problems. Checkout was speedy and there were no further issues. I got the item I wanted at the price I expected, with no hassle. Kudos to the staff member who didn't bolt and run and instead gave me one more minute of his day to ensure customer satisfaction. This would have been a two- or three-star, but that associate made his store look like a superstar. read more

Something tells me that a flood of people from this small town did not race into the store for the exact same product that wasn't even on sale! I bought a few items at this store location around 3PM today. I just want to say that I had EXCELLENT HELP from two of your sales associates. I don't remember their names but they were both hispanic and male. One said he was new and had just transferred from another store location. I unfortunately was treated very RUDELY from your cashiers at the front desk. I don't remember her name but she was white and brunette. Both of the cashiers were talking amongst themselves. When I walked up to the counter she ignored me completely during the entire transaction, not even making eye contact. I just feel conduct such as this is completely REPREHENSIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I hope this is not how this store location treats all its customers--I probably won't be back because of this experience. I don't even know where to begin. First, 2020, we spent over $30,000 with Best Buy. One of the products we purchase, a dishwasher, which was $1500, was installed on November 25th. I recently used it, and discovered that the heating part of the dishwasher is not working, therefore, my dishes are not getting dried. So I decided to call Best Buy to let them know so that they could send a repairman out. I called this morning, and after about an hour on the line with a person the car gets disconnected. I'm sitting around saying to myself, oh she's going to call me back, because we were on the tail end of getting everything done. However, to my dismay, nobody called me back. So I decided to call back later on this afternoon, I spoke to a gentleman named Dani. He was actually a very nice customer service rep, and was very genuine and apologetic about my call this morning. He deserves a raise. We discussed my situation, and when he went To process the order, he told me that he was unable to help me and then I would have to call the manufacturer for the repair. At this point, my blood is boiling, I just purchased a $1500 dishwasher, just a small part of the $30,000 I spent during the year, and now he's telling me I have to call the manufacture. This of course is not Daniel's fault, he's just a messenger. The policies from Best Buy are horrible, and I would not be surprised if Best Buy goes out of business. The service is The worst of its kind. I might as well just have bought the KitchenAid dishwasher from KitchenAid. This way if it wasn't working properly as it is today, I would have just gone directly to them. The reason I buy from Best Buy is because I expect for them to resolve an issue. The dishwasher is installed, is not working properly, and they should resolve it. They should not direct me to call the manufacturer. I would have been happy if Daniel had said to me I apologize for this issue ma'am kick squad can't repair it since it is brand new, however, we are going to make the call to the manufacture for you and we're going to help you get this scheduled. But of course that did not happen. I'm left to go handle this problem. So I decided to tell Daniel that I wanted to just return the $1500 dishwasher. At this point, I would think it's best buys policy to let their team members on the phone know if a customer is upset and wants to return something that's quite expensive, get a supervisor and maybe things can be handled differently. Instead, Daniel processed the return. I don't understand Best Buy thought process, returning this is going to be much more expensive than if they would have handled it differently I just made an extra phone call on behalf of the client. This is just bizarre. I have decided I am going to take my business elsewhere. I will not be purchasing any more electronics appliances or anything else from Best Buy. I feel bad for this customer service agents that have to work for a company like this. I know it's not their rules and it's not their policies they are just a messenger. My experience at this Best Buy over a year ago caused my whole family to permanently boycott Best Buy. My junior year of college, I got tired of lugging my PC from dorm room to dorm room and talked my parents into buying me a laptop. The one I got was a very nice Gateway, about $1200, and capable of doing all the basic gaming I wanted as well as student work. Yay! 30 days after I purchased it, I turned it on and it crashed. Black screen of death. I took it back into this store where the Geek Squad guy noticed that basically the computer was totally screwy - like, the charge light came on when it was unplugged levels of screwy. So he packages it up and tells me they'll ship it off to Gateway and I'll have it in a couple weeks. A couple weeks pass and I hear nothing. I finally call again and another Geek Squad dude tells me that Gateway is working on it, but repairs are going to run me over $1,000. WHAT? Gateway says it has "obviously been dropped". I order them to send it back without repairing it, and a few days later it arrives. At the store, we pull it out, and yes! It has obviously been dropped! In fact, there's a HUGE crack across the screen leaking laptop blood everywhere. But what do you know? I have a receipt from when we brought it in which says there was no visible damage. Yes, someone dropped it- someone at Best Buy or someone with Fed-Ex or someone at Gateway. But not I! Well, Geek Squad Dude calls around. Gateway won't fix it without charging, regardless of the circumstance. Best Buy can't fix it. They offer to replace it, but there's nothing else in the store that I like as much, so my dad asks for his money back. To make a long story shorter, this goes on for another MONTH with my dad and I probably speaking to every Geek Squad dude on staff plus the store managers and they completely refuse to refund our money. It takes a week before they even offer store credit. We wound up buying my new laptop at Office Depot, and after spending the store credit various ways no one in my family has set foot in a Best Buy again. read more

Let me start by saying that I used to LOVE Best Buy. That was the go to place for me and any kind of electronic device or movie. So when I finally decided to upgrade my ancient tube TV to a flat screen, my first choice was Best Buy. I finally pulled the trigger and purchased their Insignia 37" model. It was a kinda long process to get it set up in my house, so when I finally got to watch a movie on it for the first time I was super disappointed. The quality of the picture wasn't that great, but doable. It was the lighting that was the problem. It reminded me of a light flicker in a house light, the screen would get shades darker for a few seconds and then go back to normal, CONSTANTLY. I finally decided that I couldn't ignore it for the amount of money I spent on a new product, so I returned it. Being the idiot I am, I decided to swap it out for the same TV. Took it home, set it up, and what do you know, same effing problem. By this point it was close to closing time, but I didn't care, I wanted this fixed. Took this TV to Geek Squad to show them what I was talking about. Geek Squad was not bad overall, but there was one dude in particular that kept going on about how he just couldn't watch what I was trying to show him because it wasn't blue ray. Okay dude, I got it, blue ray is better, now get back to my effing problem. They all agreed that there was a problem and that it was probably in all of the 37" Insignias....Great. A 'manager' comes over , I ask him about my options and he tells me to think about buying better brands. Isn't Insignia the in-store brand? Great salesmanship. He told me to get a smaller, better quality brand name TV. OR I could get the same one again and take my chances or take a refund. I asked about getting some sort of deal or discount if I bought the more expensive brand, and that was a big negative with a side of chuckle. I took the refund, I now have a VIZIO, and I love it. Moral of my story is, go to Best Buy if you're going to spend a good amount of money on the 'better brands'. read more

The manufacturer has given me the run around for 3 months so when I called Best Buy, I waited on hold for about 90 minutes before finally getting a manager online by using the phone prompts to get a car stereo installed. (because everything just led to infinite hold music) In the end, the manager couldn't and wouldn't do any thing to make the situation right and just told me to call the manufacturer back because they are SO helpful. I've been in this store many times and there are plenty of employees walking around with their hands in their pockets counting ceiling tiles, but if you want actual help, good luck getting any. read more

I haven't been inside a Best Buy in years. After our frustrating experience with Lowes, we did some investigating of Washers & Dryers here at Best Buy. They had a great pair of LGs on sale and we were looking to get a pair as quickly as possible. Plus the store was running a promotion of 15% off purchases of appliances over a certain amount, NOT excluding sale prices! Nice. The guy who worked with us was great. His name was Sean Phillips and he was very friendly and very interested in my business. The Best Buy website says that delivery is $70 - Sean says no, delivery is free! Lowes had the dryer cord and washer hookups for less than Best Buy - Sean says he'll price match those. Just having somebody that is interested in making you a happy customer is a great feeling. Unfortunately it came down to the same situation we had been in before - There was a brand new washer available, but the only dryer available was a display unit. He talked to his manager and offered us even more off the dryer. It looked in great condition and they've never actually been used, so we went ahead and got it. Something we would have probably done if Lowes had treated us right the first time. In the end we got a great W&D and my opinion of Best Buy has gone up. Their delivery company 3PD was the icing on the cake, the guys who delivered it were there promptly at 7am and had them installed and running by 7:30. I love my singing washer and dryer and I'm glad we checked out Best Buy for appliances. I'm giving them 4 stars right now because I never left the Appliances area, and there's a whole store that I didn't experience. Now I have a $25 gift card to go spend, plus some reward zone points, so I'll be coming back here soon to see what the rest of the store is like. read more

I went in for a large tv , mount and service but I tried unsuccessfully to get someone to help me, had two employees walk by me and not make eye contact. Maybe 6 customers in the store. Finally, a guy saw me looking for help, came over and when I started asking him questions he kept looking away distracted. When I asked him what was the problem, he said he was "'kinda helping another customer". I walked out went to Target, got immediate service, spent $700 more than intended, tv is installed this afternoon and everyone is happy. This is a smaller Best Buy. In a pinch, it is not bad if you are know what you are looking for. I went to go pick up a Leap Motion device for my dad. We go in and there are 5 people standing at the register. One guy looks up and is like, "Uh sir, its going to be awhile... we are doing an activation." Activation? It takes 5 of you to do an activation? I immediately march to the front and ask the manager working the door if he could look up an item for me. He does and tells me he has 4 of them. He offers to assist. I decline explaining that there are 5 people back in computers that can not figure out how to do an activation. I jokingly told him he should fire every last one of them. He did not say anything after that and walked away. I went to go find my dad who was wandering the store. Another guy who did not even work in computers helped me and he was wonderful. I had told him he needed replace the other 5 people who were standing around doing nothing. I had even asked about their dog policy, as one of the customers was sitting there with her dog on her lap. I know Austin is dog friendly. I did not think San Marcos was as forgiving in terms of bringing your dog in the store. He agreed that the girl should not have been let in the store with the dog. I left that Best Buy. I did buy the Leap Motion at another Best Buy where I got much better service than this place. I do not care that this place is closer to home than other Best Buys. We were in the market for a new TV the store had plenty to choose from the assistant was very knowlegable and helpful did not pressure us to buy just the facts asking us our needs and showing us all the choices we had . having picked out the model we liked, he then asked us if we had a* best buy *card I had one some time ago that expired no problem he said ill sign you up and you can qualify for the payment plan*2 years no interest* we jumped on that, had the cash but why pay up front ? when you can get to pay for it over time with no extra charges, saving the cash for a rainy day ... we also made a date to install it , good idea we only had a family size car and had doubts as to whether it would fit in with out damage,if they delivered they would be responsible if it got broken. NOTE see review by ART B* having a best buy card also got us a discount on the set up. the tech arrived on time was polite and well informed explained and demonstrated all the features, took his time making sure we were happy ,removed all packaging from the home and even vacummed up the little bits of bubble wrap that found its way onto the floor .good experience all round for us,price, service, and value happy to shop there again in the future. read more

Either way I never got it. Chatted with an agent. He volunteered to send a replacement. Fine. Nothing came. Then I see the order canceled. No reason given. Chatted again. The agent said it was canceled because it was out of stock. Checked website and verified stock. Products were in stock. So in essence, they lied to me.
