Best Buy has the most knowledgeable installation experts when it comes to technology. They are able to overcome obstacles and adapt to any situation that requires an installation in your home. I have used them to install my new tv and smart doorbell recently. Yo can schedule an installation appointment online using the Best Buy app. They have typically arrived early for my installation appointments and are done within one hour. Amazing customer experience. Kudos to the Simi Valley store staff. You have helped me numerous times and I hope you will continue to thrive here. It was a nightmare from the start. Went to the store and ordered a dishwasher including delivery and installation. It was scheduled on a later date. Low and behold. Installation was scheduled a day earlier than the delivery. Doesn't make sense. I had to go to the store to clear things up and it was rescheduled again in a later date. Finally the product showed up and install was in process. Another hiccup. The installer doesn't want to install it. Saying it won't fit, etc... Beats me... I have feeling it's because Best Buy refunded me the delivery and installation for free. Anyway I didn't wanted to argue anymore. So I just decided to just cancel everything and returned everything. Since nothing was done. I was promised that they would take care of everything. I got a call on it that it's getting refunded. Also emails for the refund. But nothing was done on it. For 2 weeks I waited and if I didn't call them up my refund wasn't even getting process. It didn't end there. They charge me a delivery fee on a failed install which wasn't my fault. So I decided to just go the store where I ordered it. I have to explain again everything. Then finally I was able to get the full refund. What a waste of my time and the stress it has given me. We purchased "installation" with our new TV's and after one of the TV's fell off the wall, damaging the TV and leaving holes in our wall, Best Buy says we were just outside of the 90 day warrantee and REFUSED to help us. It was their horrible installation that caused the damage and they will not stand behind their work. Pedro in the large product restoration department was rude, cold, and not caring at all for the problem their team caused us. He offered NO HELP! 5 stars for Sean, who sold me my stove, 5 stars for Miguel & Angel who were my delivery & installers on 8/23 7-11am shift . I was their first delivery so when they say 7 am they mean it. I received my call they were on their way at 6:30am. I was up and ready . I had just enough time to move the stove and give attention to the floor before they slid the new stove in. Right on time , They got right to the task removing my old stove and then did 95% of set up outside on my driveway so barely a few pieces off styrofoam were left behind inside . they were very careful and didn't scratch the new stove anywhere or my walls or doors . I sent them off with a tip, a thank you & gatorade to their next job. Install was about 30-40 min from arrival to leaving this time is with a clear path no stairs or other obstacles standard slide in install . Thank Goodness the install went off without a hiccup . All good here . The reason for only 2 stars , i kept getting emails and texts from Marvin or Mervyn telling me i have to set up 3 THREE!! appointments to get the stove installed . wth? And this person kept calling me leaving messages then messing with my order on-line changing the install date TWICE! She kept changing the date saying it had to have a 3 different service calls to get it installed ! what's this a third world country? Am I paying some kind mafia fee to get this installed 3x ? I called 3 times to correct this . I have no idea whom this person was I got them once on the phone and almost had a stroke trying to get it through her head i was only making one damn appointment and if this was going to be this big of a deal i'll install the damn thing myself ! Even up to 5pm yesterday when they called to confirm delivery i received my pre delivery email and it had a big red box "appointment needed " at top of order from guess who..... with the rest of the items all scheduled . what a nightmare this person is . Rounding up from 3.5 stars to 4. Ordered ahead from this location today after one of my two work monitors died. After a decade of service, it was time to replace the pair. I had ordered two monitors and cables. The order was ready to be picked up in record time. I was receiving advice from one of our engineers at work, who suggested a new surge protector. When I got to the store, a greeter offered assistance right away. I stated that I was there to pick up an order and also looking for a surge protector. She sent me to the wrong area totally. Fortunately, I decided to get in line to pick up my order, and the associate walked me back to the right area. We discussed options for the number of plugs, power load, etc. Once I paid for the additional item, he walked out with me to help take the monitors to my car. Service! Later, I discovered that the cables I'd purchased didn't fit my PC. Dear Hubby ran back to Best Buy for me to seek the right ones. He put the sales associate on the line with me, and we figured out the right ones. He was a big help with a non-standard set of circumstances. Service, times two! Now I have my new monitors set up and functioning well. Success! I came to this Best Buy to pick up my online order. I had some reward dollars to use before it expires in July so I pick this location to pick up the 2032 battery. This Best Buy is near my work office so that's why I pick it and I was already familiar with the area since I went to other stores in the same plaza. I came when they just open and they were not busy. Some people were there to pick up their final fantasy game but I just walked to the store pickup line and they give me my item. I was curious to see what they have here so I decided to walk around the store. I went to the computer accessories area to see what Corsair stuff they have. They seem to be pretty well stocked because they had a lot of Corsair, Logitech, steelseries and hyperx stuff. This Best Buy is located in the Simi Valley Town Center. Was pretty dead when I was there on a Friday around 5pm. Nonetheless, I came there to pick up my Magic Keyboard for the new iPad. As soon as I walked, I was greeted and immediately asked if there was something they could help me with. I mentioned that I was here for a pick up. Vin, took my info and ID and then proceeded to grab my item. The experience was painless and fast. I've been a customer for the past several years and I've never had a problem with Best Buy until now. I've had my daughter's 50 inch wall mounted TV since 2023 and I bought the warranty just in case. Well today some lines showed up on it and they're saying I either hit it or threw something at it. My daughter is 48 and bedbound. She could not have thrown anything at it. I'm only 4'10" so I could not have hit it. I also wouldn't throw something at it. They said my warranty did not cover accidents and too bad for me. I've since purchased a new TV and I will never recommend Best Buy to anyone. I used to tell everyone how great they were because they always resolved my issues. Not this time. I bought a $500 car stereo and was told (there's also a bunch of signs saying this) that the installation is FREE! Well, guess what? Surprise! IT'S NOT!! When you go in to schedule an appt. for an installation, they suddenly CHARGE you for a bunch of fees you didn't know about nor were told about before buying! Faceplate fees, wiring fees, adapter fees, steering wheel fees, and more! I ended up having to pay an additional $280 in hidden fees to have my radio installed! Bought a washer dryer on Sunday and delivery was scheduled for Thursday. Was told that there would be a delivery window but that the vendor would call when they were an hour out. I did not get a call until the vendor was at my house. I was still at work which is only 10 minutes away. I called them on my ring camera to let them know I was 3 blocks away and almost there. They said okay. I got home and they had left. No one can do anything about it until the "system updates in 24 hours". Horrible, horrible service! Unbelievable. read more

This Best Buy is great as I don't have to drive to Porter Ranch or Thousand Oaks to buy electronics. The customer service is friendly and informative. During the Covid pandemic, there were barely any employees but now that everything is back to normal, there are many employees looking to help people. I went here almost two weeks ago, looking for a budget TV, as I didn't have the money to buy a better one. I met four employees who all gave me different opinions. The one I remember is Ana D. Ana was very helpful and was willing to go the distance when I asked her the year and model of the TV, she looked it up using the device scanner. Another employee simply didn't want me to buy Samsung but buy TCL, which was cheaper but didn't get good reviews. Some employees kinda didn't want to help and passed by me or forgot to help. They didn't look like they were busy or were helping anyone. The physical media section is small. I still enjoy buying DVD's and Blu-rays over streaming. They are putting out more toys and stuff, which is great, but I wish they increased the Blu-ray section. Because this Best Buy location is small, they are limited to a small selection of stuff. If you want to see a bigger selection, go to Porter Ranch or Thousand Oaks. Wish Best Buy updated the app. So I don't have to tell them the phone number or pull out the membership card. Target has a great app with everything on it, including the membership card bar scanner. Best Buy should do the same. Anyway, shout out to Ana D. I hope she remains there for a long time, grows in the company and hopefully becomes a supervisor or manager. Stores should have more employees like her. Not only was she working on the floor, helping guests, pulling items, but also was the cashier, checking out items for the guests. I'm surprised that Best Buy doesn't have a place anywhere to on the receipt or online to review the locations you visit. It's good to get feedback and help improve guest service. read more

Oh where to start.... I bought a washer and dryer on Sep 3rd. Delivery and Installation date was Sep 7th. I bought the total tech support for $200.00 on top of the cost. On delivery and installation day, the drivers informed me that I did not have the correct valve for the dryer. They contacted Customer Service to notify them that they could not install the dryer. They didn't even attempt to install the washer. They called Customer Service who in turn called me to verify that the dryer did not have the correct size valve. I was advised to have the correct valve installed and to contact costumer service to schedule a new install date. So they left the washer and dryer in their boxes in my living room. I had the valve replaced with the correct size a couple of days later. A plumber had to change it. I called costumer service to reschedule. The soonest was Sep 14th. So in the meantime I did not have a dryer as my old dryer was not able to connect with the new valve. On 9/10 and 9/11 I contacted customer service to see if I can get an earlier installation date. The customer service Rep told me that he put in an expedited request and Best Buy would be calling me within 24 hours. I did not receive a call. I called customer service on Sep 11 to ask about the expedited request. They knew nothing about it. On Sep 14th the second installation day it was cancelled 20 minutes before they said they would be at my home. Costumer Service called me to let me know that the drivers were unable to install. I advised the Costumer Service Rep that I had been waiting for a week to have the appliances installed. She said she would credit me $170.00. That the discount was going to be on my credit card bill, which it never was and not noted in the system. Therefore I did not receive any credit. Also when the appliances were finally installed the valve that needed to be replaced was not needed. This is a long review. Shame on Best Buy for terrible customer service. I will never purchase from them again. read more

If you need support for your Apple product and the Apple genius bar reservation system suggests that you make an appointment at your local Best Buy... don't. My iPhone 8 got stuck in a perpetual update/restore black screen and it needed to be reset. It turns out that Best Buy's geek squad was not able to do anything that I couldn't try myself at home connected to iTunes on my Windows PC. They returned my phone after about an hour of waiting at the store, stating that I should take it to Apple because "they can definitely help". Super nice staff, they understood the problem and they were organized, but I don't believe they are equipped with the tools they need to do Apple repair work. read more

So, it's a long and sordid story. Okay, not that long, but believe me, it's just as terrible an experience as you might imagine with a fly-by-night, underhanded, slimy organization dedicated to driving away formerly loyal customers. That's right, I'm referring to Best Buy. So I checked on-line to see if they had stock of a particular item, and the online robot confirmed it was in stock. I called the store in question, and asked if they had it in stock, and a human confirmed it again. Silly me; I believed them. I asked if I could purchase it while I was talking to them on the phone, so I didn't drive 20+ miles to find it mysteriously 'gone'. They said *laughed* -- "...that *never* happens, and I purchased it... or so I was told. You can already tell where this is going, right? 24 miles and 35 minutes later, I went in to the store, and checked with the cheety clerk at the counter. I gave him the purchase #, he punched it in. His expression became guarded, and he got really quiet, and his eyes started darting around as if he was looking for a way to escape. "Um, that's not coming up," he said. "You're checking the purchases?" another associate whispered, looking over his shoulder. I was polite. I was reasonable. I asked him to please check again. Nope. So I asked if it could be confirmed by a manager. Same result, but now a sad looking little manager got involved, with the initial "J". He didn't care. He didn't pretend to care. The story he now told me was that they didn't have that item and that they hadn't had it for weeks. He said that they couldn't find my order, and that I must've just 'thought' I'd purchased it. I showed him the screenshots, and the transaction as indicated on my online bank, and showed them the purchase showing up on my Best Buy account. 'Oh, those things don't really have anything to do with the things we have in the store,' he said. Oh, really? The manager then 'had to make a phone call', and went off, got make a call, glaring at me. On the phone call, he spoke loudly enough that I and everyone waiting at the registers could hear. 'Oh, everything's fine here -- just some dumb customer insisting they'd bought something, and that we should have it here.' That's a quote. If I wasn't so appalled by the manager's behavior, the looks on the other customer's faces would've been entertaining. The looks ranged from surprise to just plain shock. One twenty-something said, 'If that's the way they're going to treat people...', and he and his partner got out of line, leaving their yet-to-be- purchased items in a cart. The manager glared at me (as if I'd sent them away), and came back to me and asked sulkily if 'there was anything else he could help me with'. No, he'd done enough. Waited in line for ten mins in the cell phone area. This lovely Best Buy employee (white hair) knew I had been waiting a while and called for help. A woman cut In front of me when the other Best Buy employee arrived (younger) and when I proceeded to tell him I had been there first he continued helping the woman who cut. Even when the white haired employee confirmed I had been there first the younger employee said "I can help both of you" but then directed his attention to the woman who cut. I interrupted him To say I had been waiting ten minutes and the woman (The CUTTER) said I was being pushy and he continued to give his attention to her. Needless to say I went to Target.
