* Protect yourself. This location does not deserve your trust or your business. Dental work was fine, but the billing is not good. They may or may not obtain fees through irregular billing practices. * Here is what I wish someone had told me before I walked in there. Do not pay anything at the front desk on the day of your visit. Tell them to bill you. Let your insurance pay first and then request a fully itemized bill showing exactly what insurance paid and what your actual remaining responsibility is. Read every single line. Because charges will appear that nobody told you about and by the time you notice, they will tell you it is your problem not theirs. * Two months after my visits I received a surprise bill for $104.80 with finance charges quietly added that nobody ever mentioned or explained to me. No phone call. No heads up. Just a bill in the mail with charges I never agreed to. * When I called to understand what was going on, the staff was dismissive, rude and completely incapable of having a professional conversation. I came to that call calm with one simple goal -- to understand my bill. What I got instead was attitude, condescension and zero accountability. The conversation escalated entirely because of how their staff handled it. Then the office manager sent me an email that was nothing short of threatening and condescending. Instead of resolving a legitimate billing concern, they threatened to send my account to collections within 30 days and terminated my account -- all because I dared to question their bill. I actually had high hopes for this place considering the reviews. Now I understand dealing with insurance companies and them not wanting to pay but dealing with rude staff is uncalled for. Lynn is by far the rudest person I've ever encountered . Me calling to get a better understanding of their numbers verses the insurance company I guess bothered her. Her response was "omg" with a huge sigh. That is not how you handle business. I will never visit this place again and the people I referred I will tell them to seek care elsewhere. We should have walked out when the office staff was talking about us, not knowing we were in the waiting room and could hear them. They told us what they were doing was covered by the insurance, but it was not and are now trying to bill us later. Made my daughter feel like her fears were not valid. They are now trying to bill us for "missed "appointment after I told them not to contact us anymore. Terrible experience. read more

If I could give a zero, I would. I went to Best Care Dental because my former dentist retired. My first visit I was told my teeth would fall out because the X-rays showed tiny lines under my gums. I agreed to have all my gums "filled in" to protect my teeth . This was a couple thousand dollars out of pocket. I also got a crown on my front tooth for cosmetic reasons. When I returned for my visit the technician chipped the tooth next to it while she was trying to remove the temporary. The dentist came in and said it could be fixed; she had wanted to do that anyway. The crown I have now isn't capable of biting into an apple. I was told I needed to have my teeth cleaned every three months and when I returned, the hygienist said she was surprised my teeth weren't bad at all. Then she said I needed to make an appointment for my 6 month check up. I told her I would just call; but I never did. The final straw is this......... Best Care Dental turned me over to a collection agency for a bill for an appointment I never made. Very interesting that this appointment they said happened in 2020 was never called to my attention by mail. I called the collection agency as well as Best Care Dental. Dr K is the dentist there. The hygienist I had was very good. I am sorry to have had to include her. I had thought about addressing my issues online a few years ago. I decided to let it go, thinking I might have just been the unlucky ONE, but this new experience tells me....don't use Best Care Dental ! -Michelle Lamb read more

I was so scared. The doctor was confident that it would be easy. And... it was!! I am so amazed. I had not had an extraction for many years any this was amazingly better. An this was a wisdom tooth. I would trust what I'm told now. She can fix any problem for me. I'm in!! Great staff. Caring and considerate atmosphere. Go for it. You'll be glad you did. Two locations and worth the ride. Dr. Kirolos and her staff were very friendly and welcoming. As a new patient, Dr. Kirolos explained in detail all the concerns I had about my oral health and gave me several recommendations on what I should do to improve my oral health. My dentist back home said that I might need a filling on my lower right tooth, but upon examination and an x-ray, Dr. Kirolos said that tooth was healthy and did not require a filling. Had I gone back to my old dentist at home, I might have had an unnecessary filling! Contrary to some of the comments below, I think Dr. Kirolos and her staff were very professional and ethical. I also had my teeth cleaned during this visit, and the hygienist was extremely friendly. She was able to carry on a conversation, which really helped a lot with my anxiety. The facility was very clean and organized, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Each room had a TV with Netflix, so it is quite relaxing while waiting for the dentist. The office was busy on the Friday afternoon that I visited, but the assistants and Dr. Kirolos made an effort to check on me to make sure everything was okay. That really calmed me down as I tend to have anxiety when visiting the dentist. They have a private lot with ample parking. read more

well we made are appointment for 3 and they called us to tell us they over booked asked if we could come in at 10 then they called the morning of the appointment at 9:10 said we were supposed to be there at nine so we hurried up and went in then when we got there they were going to work us in whenever so we left totally messed up our da, it would've been so bad but the parcel they did for my wife doesn't fit right and hurts like crazy, so she can't e wear i, it doesn't end there they checked with the insurance told us there was no cost then we get a bill for 300. read more

I went to Dr. Kirolos because it's the same office as my former dentist, and they assured me over the phone that she had worked with Dr. Fondren and was sort of his protege. On the first visit I knew I had to replace a broken tooth with a crown, and was generally satisfied. However, I was told I needed to replace another crown, but I could never get a clear idea of which tooth it was. Then at a second cleaning visit I was told it was TWO crowns that had decay and needed to be recrowned. Again, It was never clear which crowns these were. When I came in a third time for one crown I was told I needed to have the tooth in front of it "stabilized" with a filling. Then I was told I needed TWO more fillings around the other crown. This was the first time anyone mentioned fillings! I was told it was "necessary" and then told it was a "choice" to have it filled. At that point I paid the $100 appointment cancellation fee, said they hadn't been straightforward with me, and booked an appointment with a friend in Illinois for a consultation. Kirolos was talking about nearly $4,000 in dental work! The dentist in Illinois said I had one damaged filling, which was causing the slight sensitivity I reported to Kirolos and which they did not address. ALL MY OTHER TEETH WERE FINE. He filled the back molar, which Kirolos's hygienist had told me was fine. Kirolos also wanted to do bonding, and the other dentist said it really wasn't necessary. My dentist was very diplomatic and just said Dr. Kirolos seemed "aggressive" after looking at my X-rays and her proposed $4,000 dental plan. My bill was $200. Make what you will of this. I just reported what I experienced. read more

Lovely facility. Much more modern and accessible than their previous location. Gives a totally different impression immediately. I took my 100-yr-old mother here for her checkup. We had just over to O'Fallon, so this was our first visit. It won't be our last. The hygienist was very friendly and super kind to my mother. Mom is in a wheelchair and doesn't transfer easily to chairs in doctors' offices. She was treated in her wheelchair, which really put her at ease. She was just in for routine cleaning and x-rays, so maybe she'd have to transfer to their chair if further treatments were needed. The only reason that I gave 4 stars was because they told me when I made the appointment that they were in Mom's insurance network. Later we were billed for her x-rays because her insurance said that this practice is out-of-network. The practice claims that it should be covered, and that they would resubmit. However, it came back again denied, so we paid the approximately $150 fee. We will return because Mom really liked the hygienist and Dr. Kirolos. I will be checking with insurance as to what they will cover beforehand. read more

I have been terrified of the dentist all my life. When I called in to get a consult Karen was so comforting and reassuring making sure I felt at ease. Coming in to see Dr. Kirolos was the best decision ever. She gave me a makeover and gave me my smile back. I will never see another dentist again. Dr. Kirolos bought the practice of my former dentist who was wonderful. She is nice, and possibly a good dentist, but all she did was push for more work to be done! Her approach is to get patients to have work replaced, have cosmetic work done, or just spend money!!!!! I received a bill for an amount that I was told I would NOT be charged for, that insurance would pay. I have an actual print-out of prices, but the office person said that was just an estimate. Dr. Kirolos had insisted that these were the prices for replacements. This is the closest thing to a "Bait & Switch" that I have ever experienced. Horrible unprofessional and couldn't care less for their patients. They lied to us about our bill multiple times and charged our insurance twice every time we came in. And they don't care to fix their mistakes and won't even talk to you if they did something wrong. Worse dentist I've ever been too and never going back. For your sack please don't go here. read more

Extremely unprofessional. I brought my five year old daughter in to get some work done under the impression they do pediatric dentistry, since it is on their website. My daughter is extremely anxious when it comes to doctors, dentist...etc. We get called back, my daughter starts crying loudly, instead of the dentist taking sometime to come and talk to my daughter, let her get comfortable with her, she immediately tells her assistant to inform us we need to find another dentist, then says we can leave. read more
