Ryan did an epoxy coating on my garage floor 10 years ago. Now it's starting to peel. I messaged him as well as called him without much of a response. These guys are absolute professionals! Years ago I applied my own epoxy floors in my garage in a brand new build. It was OK. However, after the expense of buying real epoxy , not epoxy paint that they try to sell you at Home Depot, the cost of labor is worth it. These guys do it every day and it shows in their craftsmanship. They diamond grind the entire surface which takes a whole day then they coat and fleck your floor the second day, then they topcoat to make it all bulletproof. It would've taken me twice as long and would not have looked as good as their end product. Don't be fooled and rush on doing the garage flooring with 1 day flooring job or kit. From my research I was considering DIY kit from Home Depot/Lowe's but that job only give you the epoxy only and no clear coat which is an additional cost which people don't consider. 90% of epoxy coating is floor prep with etch and cleaning with muriatic acid. Ryan performed this and smoothed out any rough surface and patched/filled holes in the concrete flooring. The small details to tape around the garage sensors, door frame, and drywall do make sure the epoxy doesn't get touch by the roller. We went with the classic sterling dolphin color coating that looks great and traditional for any garage. In reality this is a 3 day job from prep to allow muriatic acid to air dry, epoxy coating and chips to the final clear coat on day three. i contacted Ryan for an unusual request. I have a front porch which has a moisture problem. I can stain it and everyone was telling me I had to dig up all the concrete and put new concrete in. A friend recommended Best Coast Epoxy Coatings to me. I did a search in Yelp. As he has 5-star review, I went with him for garage coating without hesitation, just like most of people here. But... I should say I really regret what I did. I am very disappointed on Ryan's service and his attitude towards customer. There are at least 10 places with major defect (photo link:pix.sfly.com/ezGQ_dXs). My house is a new build. I never thought "Best" Coast Epoxy Coatings was able to leave at least 10 places sags and crests in my new house!! Some of defect is really sharp like a nail. I can not park my car on it as I am afraid it causes damage to tires. I was not aware of these things until one week after so-called cool-down time suggested by Ryan. Unfortunately, I trusted him so much such that I paid off him right after he finished on third day. Ever since that I can not see him again. Yes, Ryan replied to my message. But regarding on the defects I pointed out, his suggestion was to driving on those spots and wear them down to invisible over time. Seriously? You want me to drive on nails and wear nails down with my tire over times? Unfortunately, it is what suggested by "Best" Coast Epoxy Coatings. I asked Ryan to fix them. But "Best" Coast Epoxy Coatings said it can't be fixed unless rip out the floor. OK. I understand it may be really difficult once sealed. So I told Ryan you can give some refund if you think the fix is out of your control. He agreed and said he would send a check. He further explained he would have done the repaires if it's simple fix. I understand everyone makes mistake. Since Ryan could accept his mistake, I believed he would honor what he said, like a man. But unfortunately I was wrong again. Mr. Ryan disappeared for three months, no response to my text message or phone call until I asked him wish you can be a man in the text message. He simply replied that you need a refund for tiny spot that was missed? What a perfect back and fill trick! I have worked with many contractors after house closing. Nobody, literally, nobody would ever behave like Mr.Ryan. Don't accept his mistake, and don't keep his words. I hope you guys thinking carefully before working with him. I even don't want to mention that the slack stamp on garage floor is barely visible after his job. New build owner should know that stamp is a very important evidence showing house is robust to earthquake. I would like to give ZERO-star if I could, because of bad quality on his job and dishonesty in his business. read more

If I could give a negative 5 star score I would! I read all the reviews before calling Ryan and thought this was the company I wanted so I called left a message and YES Ryan did call back. I explained what I wanted and gave him 30 days notice before the job needed to be done. Since the job I had explained (and sent him pictures) was custom he quoted me a higher price than normal and I agreed to the price. When we got closer to the date I needed him I called 3-4 times and text 3 more times. NO RESPONSE AT ALL!! I needed the job done prior to moving in and now stuff will have to sit outside in the sun until another company can do the work. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! DO NOT HIRE!
