Kalle paache

Kolbeh without doubt is THE best non-kebab Iranian food in Vancouver area. Their food took me back in time and reminded me of the flavours in my grandma's kitchen. My friend even got emotional after trying the Aash e shole ghalamkar. Their Haleem is top notch. Their kalla pacha is fantastic. Their omlette plays with your soul. We came back twice more in our three day stay in Vancouver. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you Kolbeh and the amazing staff!

Bandari hotdog

Easily one of my fave restaurants in Vancouver. My friend got beef cutlet sandwich; we both loved it. Bandari hotdog was rich and spicy, will definitely be back!

One of very few places that offer persian style breakfast. I loved it! Home style cooking and friendly vibes. Will be coming back!

Sholeghalamkar

The best persian style breakfast in Vancouver! Everything is super tasty and delicious. We got Kale Pacheh, omelette, and Sholeghalamkar. We went there on a Saturday morning and we didn't have to wait so long for the table. Let me rephrase that, if you come early enough, you can find tables. The space is limited, but it's super friendly. It reminds me of Iran. The friendly attitude of staffs and pleasant feeling of Iran can be thoroughly felt inside the place. The only reason that prevents me from giving them 5 stars is the wait time to get our orders. The sweet couple who run the business are a bit understaffed. So it takes them a long time to manage everything and respond to customers. Other than that, everything has been wonderful! Thank you for creating a place for us to feel like home when we're thousands of miles away from home!

Diarrhea after that. Won't go there again. No fresh bread. Previously frozen bread. Some thing similar to lemon juice. I don't recommend it.

The lighting isn't the best, as the staff mostly rely on the large entrance window for natural light. Service Quality The staff was kind and friendly. They are more than happy to help you choose a sandwich if it's your first time. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Menu Variety Their sandwich selection is excellent, and the bread is particularly noteworthy. They also offer a couple of iced tea options, which is a nice alternative to water. Food Presentation If you're dining in, your sandwich will be served in a plastic basket lined with wax paper. For takeout, it's wrapped in the same wax paper. Food Taste and Quality I ordered the Spicy Italian, which had just the right amount of heat. It was generously loaded with greens, and the multigrain bread was fresh, likely baked that morning. Portion Sizes The portions are substantial. I was only able to finish half of my sandwich for lunch. Price and Value The sandwich cost about $15, which is on the pricier side. It would have been nice to see it priced around $12. Overall Experience and Recommendation If you're in the area or heading to Horseshoe Bay to catch a ferry, definitely stop by S'wich for a sandwich. I will definitely be returning to try other options on the menu.

We have been frequenting this place since long before Covid, but have never reviewed for some…read morereason. We must like it, we even bought their cookbook to try some of the recipes, especially the Fondumental, which dragged us back there again and again. It wasn't nearly as plentiful or as yummy as we remembered it, but it's still good. The sandwiches and soups have always been rib sticking and tasty. The ambiance has remained the same over the years, a little dark, but the fireplace and the vintage posters are cool. Our server Gary was excellent, Johnny on the spot with all that we were looking for. Their wine and beer is all local, which is a thing these days. My lobster bisque with the FAB salad hit the spot, and the bread piece was exceptional. The lovely K had the onion soup which she liked although said it could use a little more salt. If you want to enjoy a hearty meal on the North Shore down by the water, but not on the water, give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

Make sure you try the lobster bisque as it's one of the meatiest I've had to date; full of that shellfish flavour. The French onion soup is an eye catcher but the broth could use a bit more richness and flavour. Beef bourignon was suggested and I'm glad I took the friendly waitress' recommendation as it was a warm hug on a deep plate. I'd opt to swap for roasted potatoes instead of the mash but the mash does soak up all that delicious stew. The jambalaya is full of different proteins and if you're a fan of that, then I'd make sure to eat this perfectly cooked rice dish. I finished off with a banana bread pudding which was exactly that, banana bread in that bread pudding form; Personally I was hoping for bread pudding that was banana flavoured but it was still ooey gooey goodness. Burgoo should be packed to the brim with this menu for these prices and the friendliness of the staff!

The taste of the fillings was very well balanced with nothing being overpowering. I could taste every single ingredient yet they went together very well! I particularly liked the stracciatella cheese. It added a fluffy and soft texture to the sandwich. The shop was small, cozy and well decorated. There were some available seats when I was there at around 1:30pm. There was no line as the peak lunch hour had passed. They made my sandwich immediately so I didn't have to wait at all.

Italiana was so good. Double Prosciutto!! Truffle flavor was strong and paired with stracciatella cheese. What a great combination! And Arugula was very fresh. Foccacia was very crispy outside and soft inside. One of the best sandwich. I will order again. Monte cristo was also good. Grilled bread was very crispy and nicely pressed. Provolone and prosciutto cotto combination was great, too. Sundried totamto provided great accent. I will order this one again, too. Overall, it was a great sandwich shop. Highly recommend.
