I went in today and it was a mistake the worst mistake I have made in a long time I went in to get my nails done and had a young man looking like Justin Bieber with a dyed blonde hair do my nails he didn't understand a word of English he kept saying he understood what I was asking then he got upset when I asked that why he didn't do my nails the way that I asked him to do which just was simply square but soft on the edges so they wouldn't be sharp since I am a massage therapist then he got up angry walked away the manager had to come and take over and finish it was the worst experience of my life run run run and don't go there they're horrible they treat you miserably they don't even look you in the face and they mistreat you for just asking to get your nails done properly it was bad all the way around read more

Today after work, I decided to get a manicure for the first time. I picked best nails because they are close to my work and also on the door they advertised, what seemed to me as nail art and airbrushing. I decided I would go instead of waiting in traffic to get back home to sd. I was a walk-in and they had me sit around for about 15-20 mins, which was okay by me. The staff was friendly but It was sort of hard to communicate to them what I wanted (they didn't speak english that well) I ended up getting hot pink tips and daises on ring finger of both my hands. I was seated in a crammed space and the person next to me was getting a pedicure. The lady that was doing her feet keep bumping into my chair and finally asked that I move a little. I moved, but way to the side of the table in an uncomfortable and awkward position. The lady doing my manicure was friendly but her phone kept ringing and she was talking on the phone atleast three different times When I was left to have my nails dry by a very small fan. The woman who did my nails then told me my nails were done. I tried to grab my purse and give her money, but then i noticed the paint has smeared and my nails were not really done nor that dry. It was also a bit uncomfortable with all the ladies constantly laughing. There is nothing wrong with laughing but after a while it just felt sort of awkward. Overall, I don't know if my nails were worth the $28 I was charged for. I thought this was a little pricey or perhaps I was just expecting something nicer. I haven't made up my mind If I would go back yet. If I do, I will be sure to post another review. read more

Cut me up pretty badly. One of the employees ripped off a chunk of my real nail in efforts to remove an acrylic nail. While I was being service both employees decided to stop what they were doing for a walking, leaving me waiting 2 hours for them to finish servicing me. read more

Best nails? More like worst nails. I went in for a pedicure, full set and eye brow wax. The pedicure was the not great, I got home and the top layer of the paint on my big toe pealed off and the rest are bubbly and the lady that did my nails and eyebrows was terrible! I got cut and I had to make her refile my nails because 2 were crooked. Then she did my eyebrows on the floor with everyone watching. NO PRIVACY. When I got home I had to pluck the extra hairs out that were left. I'm never going back. First impressions are everything. I'll be trying a different salon when I need a fill. I may even just let this set grow off. I'm even going to a different place to get a polish change on my toes! Again I'll never be back. read more

Very disappointed. Visiting the San Marcos area for a wedding and came here for a regular mani/pedi. Was looking forward to it given the great reviews. Their color selection was super limited but I'm not super picky so picked a few colors and went on with it. Once I was in the chair the two nail technicians spent 20 minutes trying to upgrade me to a gel manicure and deluxe pedicure after I said no multiple times. They chatted amongst themselves the remainder of the time which doesn't bother me at all except when you're talking and not looking at my nails when you're painting them! I ended up with a manicure and pedicure that looks like a 5-yr old painted my nails. The lack of professionalism and just general pride in your work was so frustrating I just left and went to Vons for nail polish remover and polish to do my own nails before the ceremony. read more

I was visiting from out of town and dropped in for a Gel Polish. A man was my manicurist and he didn't understand what I wanted and proceeded to clip my nails and attempt to apply Gel Nail Extensions. I said "NO, I want Gell Polish". He butchered my nails, filed them unevenly and the polish was not smooth but rough and bumpy. Furthermore, the gel peeled and my nails started chipping in three days. This was by far, the WORST Gel manicure I have received. It is less than a week and I have to go to a new salon to repair the damage of his work. read more

I've been going to Mimi for three years now and I won't go to anyone else! It's very rare to find someone that does an amazing pedicure and fantastic acrylics! Mimi is AMAZING!! My fill lasts up to four weeks when I need it to. Before finding Mimi, I had problems with fungus, lifting, and being hurt when getting a fill. NONE of that ever with Mimi! First time customer: So, I called this morning and asked if they can take me on my lunch at 12:40 and I need to be out by 1:15 and the lady said that would be fine. I got there and they were ready for me, took me right away AND had me out by 1:14! Linda was the lady working my pedicure she did not treat me bad for giving her a time limit! She treated me right and took my time in consideration! Not to mention her shaping white tip nails was just beautiful. I would sooooo recommend this place. I called the day before for a 9am gel manicure & gel pedicure appointment and they were able to accomodate me. The nail shop could use a make over due to shabby look but overall not a bad place to get a manicure and pedicure. The staff were semi-friendly and didn't attempt to make small talk which is fine by me. The manicurist who worked on my nails even gave me a back massage which is not something I expected. They complied with all my little request such as NO cuticle cutting, with no problem. Pros: pretty good gel manicure and gel pedicure Cons: Nail shop a little shabby/run down. Not quite the ambiance you expect from a place that should provide a relaxing environment for clients. read more

Not the best nails. The paint job is messy and on my toes, and the customer service wasn't great. When my nail tech finished she just left me sitting in the spa chair and never said anything or came back to take the paper out of my toes. My friend got the upgraded pedi with a longer massage time and an extra wax treatment and somehow we still finished at the same time. Wouldn't recommend. read more

Hands down worst manicure I've ever had. My gel nails lasted 3 days.. such a huge waste of money. On one of the hands he started putting a color on that looked nothing like the swatch, so I had him change it to a different color. He took off the old color and then never put base coat on again so they didn't last. I also have 3 different swollen fingers that look infected which makes me think they don't clean their equipment because in all my years of getting my nails done I've never had that happen. And don't even get me started on the pedicure... I opted to add the callus removal for 5$ and he never did it. When I asked, they said they actually did do it (they used the same little foot scrubber that is always INCLUDED in a BASIC pedicure at literally every other nail salon in the world) and charged me 5$ extra for that. They said that their basic pedicure doesn't include that so its extra. It was literally them rubbing that on my foot for 10 seconds max and my callus is still there. The massage wasn't even a massage he was just touching my leg wiping the lotion off for 5 seconds. I never leave bad reviews but trust me, don't waste your money when there are tons of other good places around to get your nails done. read more

I have been going to this nail salon for almost a year, and I always get acrylic nails, either almond shaped or square. I always used to call before I went in, and asked the prices, the woman said 26, or depending how long I wanted them, which wasn't long at all, so I went in and the price was now 45? I was a bit confused, considering the nail length I wanted was barely 2 inches, and when she was doing my nails, she cut me multiple times, it was completely rushed every single TIME. And I was not happy with the end result, the polish was rushed, and the shape didn't even match the shape I wanted, they were so uneven. I no longer go there anymore because of their lack of customer service and their lack of good product, the nail feels cheap and really uncomfortable. BEWARE! You will not be satisfied. I now go to Be Polished Nails, they're right next to the KFC in San Marcos, go there if you want great service and great nails. read more

This place is currently under new management and the customer service is really great. I take my girlfriend here to get her nails done and she loves it! She highly recommends Lily, so if you want to get your nails done make sure you set up an appointment with her. I've been here twice so far. My first experience was great, although the gal who did my pedicure didn't seem at all thrilled. Unfortunately, the second experience wasn't great. I just got a gel manicure this time. When I got home I noticed she didn't trim my cuticles very well and two nails peeled that night and a third was lifting. I went back the next day for them to fix them and the owner was extremely apologetic. However the staff seemed a bit annoyed. The owner had the nail tech re-do it all. It was better than before but I still noticed a couple spots. It's a bummer because the owner seems very nice. I might go back a third time if I make an appointment with the owner. read more

If I could give them zero starts I would. There name should be call worst nails. I had a mani and pedi and in less than24 hours it was already chipped . I called to see if they could credit me back because I was on my way to palms springs and didn't have time to stop by there to get them fixed. They stated they would refund. I will never go there again. I would suggest everyone stay away. read more
