I love this salon. I have walked in and they always take me within 10 minutes :). I always get a pedi and pink and white powder for my nails. My pedi always lasts over two weeks and my nails NEVER come off. The customer service is really friendly and makes everyone feel welcome. read more

This shop has been under new ownership for about 8 months! I followed Mimi from her previous employer, which was always loud. Needless to say, It is the best service in town. Quiet, clean, relaxing, friendly environment. Never pushy to make a few more bucks. Price is very reasonable. read more

There is a new nail technician and she is very rude she kept cutting my finger and would tug on my hand. The pedicure was not good at all either as soon as I got home it chipped! Not a good way to start my morning. read more

This was hands down the worst manicure/pedicure I have ever had. My boyfriend and I went there because they had room and our go-to spot is always busy (now i know why) it's not just because it cost less. Besides the constant up-selling (at one point we had 4 people flashing menu at us), a minimum of telling them no 8 times, and looking at us with disgust when we told them we just wanted the normal $30 mani/pedi....it was as if they decided if we weren't going to buy the $50 version, we would get the "I don't give a #$% version". Literally my manicure looked better before I went in. Not only did they not push back or cut, or the cuticle they just painted over it! I'm still in shock and disappointed. I have now seen photos posted by others and they are 100% accurate of my experience. I wish I had yelped before I went instead of after to see if this had happened before or was typical. It seems to be their standard and I will not be back. read more

My friend and I got mani pedis today and were able to walk in no problem. Kim did a great job on my feet and helped with ingrown nails. The lady who did my mani was sloppy but I had Kim fix that too and it turned out alright. At least now I know who to ask for here. read more

I have been seeing Mimi for my bi-monthly manicures and pedicures for 8 years now! I first met her at another salon in town (Gamour Nails). Then, I continued to see her at Best Nails since she moved there in 2011ish. After doing acrylic overlay on my natural nails for 15+ years, I finally stopped and have since done gel only for a year now. Even though most people that have had acrylic on for 15+ years have nothing but soft fraile natural nails, I was lucky! My natural nails have never been happier! Switching to gel was the best thing I could've done! And, even though Mimi was skeptical on my decision she did as I asked and as always does a GREAT job. She takes her time and takes great pride in her work yet doesn't work too slow. I am in and out right under an hour every time. They have a large variety of both gel, traditional polish, and acrylic colors so everyone has a solid selection here. All the girls here are long time friends or realitives and work very hard. I saw some complaining about their english on here. I guess most people aren't aware that Vietnamese are amazing with the art of nails. All the employees DO speak good english and are all very polite. Just because they speak in Vietnamese at times doesn't mean it is about you. Seriously get over it. If you want your nails done right then accept their culture and native language.Their pricing is good, pretty average and also more affordable then the last salon Mimi was at. They are also great with the elder. There's a lot of elder clients as there are a lot of surrounding retirement homes near the shopping plaza. My 7 year old daughter also joins me from time to time, and a $8 manicure or pedicure is fun for her once and a while. I'd highly suggest Best Nails to my friends and family. I went with my husband and granddaughter to have our nails done. The owner seems nice enough but the sourpuss who did my nails seemed immediately unhappy with her tip--20%. The pedicure I received was ok but I am used to much more attention to the bottoms of my feet when I get a pedicure. Most of the women there are friendly enough, but because they have one obviously unhappy nail technician, we have decided to find another salon as there is one on every street corner. We are looking for good customer service and did not find that here. I went to Princess Nails in Vista for many years and they are so awesome and friendly. I have moved away from that area however and will continue my search for a nail salon with better customer service. read more

I'm sorry to have to post this because all the other ratings are so good, but I went here for the first time and will never go back. The lady who did my acrylic fill, gel nail color and spa pedicure either needs better eyeglasses, or should just not be doing nails at all. At least three of my cuticles on my hand were covered in gel paint. When I pointed this out to her she dabbed one of them with a paintbrush with acetone, which did nothing to improve it. The paint on my toes looks horrible too. I could have done a better job myself! I am also not a fan of salons that use the paint on gel color and charge $15 for it. I could buy a bottle myself for a lot less, and probably do a better job. The other ladies there might be awesome, but unfortunately, not this gal. I did not get her name, but she sits in the back corner so you know who to avoid. On the upside, it's the first nail salon I've ever been in where they play Christian music on the radio. I've bounced around from salon to salon for years and ventured into Best Nails about 6 months ago after working out next door. I LOVE this place! I get a great set each time from Lilly and every pedicure I've had has been great. I don't try just walking in because it's a smaller staff and it can get pretty busy. But I call same day, even if it's just a couple hours in advance and I get a time slot and they always seat me quickly when I arrive. I recommend being considerate and calling in advance if you want immediate attention upon arrival or if you want to be a walk-in customer, go to a bigger place. The ladies are nice and respectful, it's not noisy like some of the other places I've been where the ladies are yelling at one another while you try to relax. I also just got a 15 minute neck massage the other day that was wonderful! Prices are VERY reasonable and I am a big fan! read more

I have been going to Best Nails for many years and I must say that the improvements have been wonderful since Lily, the new owner, took over. I have always had Holly (sometimes referred to as Jennifer) do my fills, she is great and does a fabulous pedicure too. Lily does my eyebrows and facials (which are by far the best deal on the planet for $50.00.) Responding to another critique, I say of course it would be nice if they spoke more English, but they are immigrants who work hard for their money and I am not going to hold that against them. They are respectful, kind and communicate just fine once you get to know them. I also disagree with the person who said they were pushy for add ons; they are "up selling" a concept that is quite common (just think of those who ask "wourld you like to supersize?" or "you want fries with that?"). I believe they may appear to be "pushy" because they are a different culture. A simple "No, Thank you" works well and one can enjoy the service they can afford or for which they are willing to pay. read more

i came in respectfully asking for a refund or my nails to be redone because they started breaking on the first day. the "owner" said i ruined my own nails on purpose?! i needed my nails to be done for work today and they were chipped and cracked on every side! the owner even asked a customer for their opinion while they were getting their nails done and made everyone uncomfortable. she said she could fix 2 of my nails when every nail had a problem and i didn't want them to break again. couldn't refund me my 35 so now i will have to go somewhere else and pay to get them done again. biggest waste of money ever. not understand or polite at all. was yelling at me as if i went out of my way to mess up my own nails?!! extremely unprofessional. they were laughing like it was funny that i asked for my nails to be redone/ or refunded. i payed for nails that were messed up the same day to have them removed and redone just days layer because of horrible quality. i am very gentle with my nails and am 100% sure it wasnt my fault. only said they would re do them after making a huge scene and making me extremely uncomfortable. i decided to leave because of how tense their energy was. read more
