Small but delicious! I love a good Philly and I haven't had one in a while, so I popped in here. Small inside with four tables for seating. Placed my order and it was ready within a few minutes. I did the Philly cheese steak combo (onions and cheese whiz) with fries and a fountain drink. I was not disappointed. It was delicious from the bread to the seasoned meat. I definitely plan to come back. I want to try their gyros and onion rings.

Great place to come for a cheesesteak! I came on a Monday around the end of lunch and my sandwich was ready super quickly. Some other places skimp, but I got a good amount of cheese whiz on my cheesesteak without it being too overwhelming. I got a large sandwich with no fries and I was satisfied but not too full. Sometimes a cheesesteak for lunch can be too filling but this was perfect. The inside of the restaurant was clean and inviting but since it was nice out I decided to eat on the patio. I liked that they had a designated parking lot so unless it's really busy you probably don't need to worry about parking.

    The menu!

The food here is second to none! Cheesesteaks are off the Charts good! Very clean customer service is spot on! I wish more establishments would learn from this family ran restaurant!

Ambiance: Great for a quick bite for lunch. Cleanliness: Very well maintained. The kitchen was spotless all the way up to the stove vents. Taste: So flavorful and juicy... Best Philly steak I have ever had in PHX. The quality continues to remain the same throughout the years. Service: A husband and wife run this place and the service is always top tier. They are so friendly and you can tell they love what they do. Overall: Such a great mom and pop shop with incredible quality and service. I hope this place continues to thrive in our community. Bring cash to tip as they don't have a tip option when you pay.

4-Point Review Food - Stopped in to try out their Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, and it was one of the best I've had outside of Philadelphia! I technically got what they call a "Bomb Philly" which is just the cheesesteak sandwich but loaded with american cheese, grilled onions, Mushrooms, Pepperoncini, and Sweet Peppers. So good, even the bread they use is custom made for their cheesesteaks. Service - It was my first time stopping in, and they had my sandwich freshly made just a few minutes after I ordered! Great staff Atmosphere - Small little lunch spot, with limited tables inside, but tons of outside tables right on Central Ave. Guess they've been here since 1995, one of the staples of Downtown/Central Phoenix Sustainability Rating (8/10) - I went inside and ate there, they only had styrofoam cups and I believe one time use cutlery for their dine-in experience. They could at least switch those to reusable utensils for in-person dining

One of those typical small establishments were you already know the food is going to smack. Friendly staff. Good pricing. I got a Philly cheesesteak with onion rings. Onion rings was good well, not greasy or burnt. The Philly melted in you mouth. But be careful cause these Phillies come at you hot!! Ever bite was as good as the first one. I could see why this was highly recommended.

I expected so much better! Both my husband and I thought the Philly cheeses steaks with Amercan cheese were very dry.

Good service, but cheesesteak was not all that. No bad but, not somewhere I would go back too. Tested like the grill needed to be cleaned.

Food is good. It used to be a lot better. They used to have the authentic Philly vibe. After COVID it seems they aren't the same anymore...

The layout is a bit challenging since the menu board faces perpendicular to where you enter. When I arrived a group were craning their necks to read the options. This is not fancy. My order was called and I had the charcoal grilled fish and my friend had the classic burger . We also split the chili fries. Both came on paper fry containers and a cafeteria style tray. There was a large condiments stand with wagon wheels. It is similar to chuckbox but much larger. The food was decent and the fish cooked correctly. I apologize for no pics, we were engaged in a stimulating conversation. People put food first but in today's workd, we need to spend more time talking and listening to one another. I completely forgot to take pics of the food. Overall, it is a simple smashed style of burger patty. The ambiance is lower lighting with a western aged setting. Think traditional western style. It was my first time and while not my preferred style of burger, the food is decent. This is a place that offers customizable food, TV's and it was not too noisy. The counter person was extremely helpful in offering insights and options. Enjoy your experience and wear your boots and Cowboy hat.

It has been around for DECADES and there is no question as to why it is still there. When visiting the Chuck Box know that it is cash only (ATM on-site), and super popular. There WILL be a line. The line does move extremely fast, due to the fact that the line cooks are definitely not waiting until you get to the counter to take your order. They will call out to anyone in line (regardless of where in line you are) and take your order, yelling it out if needed. It is such a unique and fun experience. The burgers are not overpriced and are phenomenal! It is self serve toppings, after you pay for your order you can go to the topping bar and add as much to your burger as your heart desires. They additionally have other food on the menu such as veggie burger, chicken sandwhiches, chicken tenders, onion rings, fries, fried zuchinni, fried mushrooms, and more. I have had both the fried zuchinni and mushrooms and I would definitely recommend both options! Since it really popular, be aware that there is limited seating and it is crowded. It is additionally extremely warm (especially during the summer) inside the building due to the grill. If you have not already checked out the Chuck Box, I would definitelly recommend that you check it out as soon as possible!!!

To start, my burger tasted pretty good. The cheese was good. Bun was a little dry and stale. The lettuce was yellow and chopped and looked several days old and slightly rotten. Two of my tomatoes had active mold growing on them. It was too dark inside to see it but we ate in the car and saw the moldy spot then. The fries are good but way too salty. We really liked the fried mushrooms. But we made our own dipping sauce which was better than the ranch they give you: mix 2/3 mustard and 1/3 Mayo. Tangy and delicious. We get these at "The Windmill" when we go to the jersey shore and the sauce that comes with the fried mushrooms is a horseradish sauce which is amazing (hint hint, Chuck Box). I would eat here again but bring a flashlight to inspect the produce and lower my expectations. It was good, not great. It smelled kind of off in here also. The AC and vents probably need to be cleaned.
