Well after saying we would order again we bit the bullet and tried it again. So we ordered it Uber Eats again. We decided to order again because they offer flaps only. And once again they failed to follow the instructions and unfortunately they do not allow comments on Uber so we paid extra for flaps only and got fucked once again. I am done with this place. Uncle Sam's -- Are you serious? Paying $40 for 25 chicken wings is simply unreasonable. That price point is completely disconnected from value, portion quality, and what loyal customers expect. I've been a customer since 1980, and it's disappointing to say this, but Uncle Sam's has lost sight of its core business model. What once made you great--fair pricing, solid portions, and consistent quality--has noticeably declined. The overall quality of the food has gone downhill, while prices have skyrocketed. Longtime customers like myself feel taken for granted. There are quite a few of us who have supported this business for decades, and we're now questioning whether our loyalty still matters. I don't understand the obsession with this restaurant. It has been in the Sheaborhood for many years and has a ton of fans! However, I recently tried them again and despite the food being good, I was thoroughly disappointed. We ordered a large cheese pizza, plain, just cheese (for $27.95), Mild wings, a dinner salad, Stromboli and a calzone. All overpriced!! In fact, when she read my total to me I was shocked. She said " yeah our prices are pretty crazy." Decent food except the celery and carrots for the wings were wrapped up since we got our order to go. You could imagine my disappointment when I opened the foil to reveal vegetables that looked like they had already been chewed, ew! To top it all off, they told me that the food would be ready in 15-20 minutes. Since we live around the corner I was there in 10 mins. When I got there the girl at the counter apologized and said the kitchen was backed up. So why wait to tell me that after I get there? I waited a full 40 minutes for our food. Steer clear of this place! Last night dinner started out fine. Our server, Sam greeted us with a smile and was very friendly. We ordered drinks, wings and zucchini as APPETIZERS. We asked they be brought before the meal. Then the disaster! When Sam brought our appetizers, she informed us she had just been FIRED FOR SERVING OUR FOOD! I was, and still am, livid! I approached the manager, Gordon, who was beyond rude to both me (customer!) and Sam, waitstaff. He stated that they don't do things that way. What way? You don't serve appetizers in a sports bar? You don't treat customers with respect? Your policy is to be rude to all? Our bill was $100. Gordon was such a coward he would not deal with my table. I refused to tip as my server was no longer employed. I will NEVER return to Uncle Sam's based on this experience. Their waitstaff should consider legal action based on my observation. Well, if you wanted turkey at 11:30am, you were out of luck. They forgot to order turkey, but telling customers they ran out. Then we had a short Latina woman falling to greet me upon entry, but she greeted most others she seemed to know. Angry woman. I was there for the cheesesteak, but the sandwich literally tasted like nothing. The meat was imported according to the menu, but not sure what that means. It was mushy and not prepared well. Lunch 1/27/26: Sent back cold fries and they returned hard as rocks. Ordered a hot chicken sandwich, with everything except dairy, due to a severe intolerance. When delivered I asked about the missing dressing and side of buffalo sauce. She said they have dairy in them (which gave me confidence the rest of the food was made correctly and I could eat). After ingesting a few bites I noticed missing ingredients and what appeared to be either hot mayo or melted cheese. She took and verified it was cheese and eventually replaced. I had to take the food to go but still haven't eaten because I've spent almost 24hours painfully sick. Didn't receive an apology much less a comped meal. My husband also had digestion issues from his meal and he never gets sick. It wasn't even busy despite the Zipp's closure across the street. Now we know why. Miserable. I'm not rating their pizza, because we used to have their pizza often and it was actually very good. I am only rating the meatball grinder. Overall it was okay. The bread was nice and fresh and crunchy. The cheese was very good. The sauce was mediocre at best, it reminds me of a very American style (in a jar) sauce, not real Italian red sauce. The meatballs were okay. They could have been a little bit better but overall they were okay. I would like to have some nice fresh grated Parmesan reggiano cheese on top. That would have made it better for sure. Price was high. I think that $13 for that was a little high. I would rate it a 6.5/10 read more

Unreal, when we arrived there were only 4 tables filled including ours, we order right away as we were short on time. 35 minutes later the food had still not come out. Great Service and even better food. Had the Grinder Sub w/ fries and a drink for the lunch special. Wife had a salad with chicken that looked great. Both tasted great. Asked for wheat bread (great sandwich) after the order went back to the kitchen. But the real reason for my review. Sat across from a old loud, whining and crying couple looking for a free meal. Brought a small pizza and two calzones. Ate the pizza and then called the server back that the calzones were not cooked enough she took them back and cooked some more. Brought them back and they ate about half of them and called her said that they were burnt and need new ones. The manager took them away and then a few minutes later came back with two freshly baked calzones. The wait staff and cooks dont need idiots like that slowing the day down. So it had been a minute since we had been to this location. The last time we were there it just wasn't up to the Uncle Sam's standards we'd grown to love. Met a lifelong friend for a lunch today and this location is about in the middle for both of us. Arrived about 11:30 and only about 5 diners inside and seated away from anyone. Good with the whole COVID thing. We ordered a quarter pizza steak with fries, a half cheesesteak and a half Uncle Sam's special to go. OMGosh. Food arrived fairly quickly and my cheesesteak was like I've loved for 20 years. The soft roll stuffed to the gills with flavorful meat and cheese.. When I brought home my son's hoagie he devoured it saying it was the best he'd ever had. Thank you Uncle Sam's for making the first trip to a sit down lunch for me since our world has gone crazy an enjoyable one. If I could change anything it would have been a refill on our ice teas and another suggestion would be to not stack our plates, utensils and napkins together. Ordered a salad with grilled mushrooms - even repeated that I wanted them TWICE. Went in to pick up the to-go order, it was bagged up and I verified that there was dressing in the bag. went here after some awful service and food at Zipps across the street. I'll say people don't come here for service they come for the pizza and wings. They always are consistent and not too expensive. My Girlfriend got a beer for less than 5$ on a football Sunday. now that is nice in these hard times.
