Wasn't my favorite pizza but it was still pretty good! Loved the vibes inside this place and the decor + music. Very fun pizza shop with indoor and outdoor seating. As a fan of Frank Pinello's The Pizza Show, I'm actually deeply disappointed in myself that I haven't been here yet. Finally made it my mission to try Best Pizza, but will it live up to its name? I guess that's what we'll find out. Hopped on the L train and got off the Bedford stop. Honestly, it was kinda dead out in Williamsburg for a Saturday, but walked over to Havemeyer which is the usual quiet side of Williamsburg. There was no lines and only a few people eating, but I think they were pretty busy with take out/delivery orders. We ordered a slice of pepperoni and a grandma slice. Probably waited 5-10 minutes for them to heat it up. The slices came out hot! I took a bite of the pepperoni and the crust was very chewy! Very good! Took a bite of the grandma and was even better. The sauce on the grandma had chunks of tomatoes and was very tasty. It was piping hot, but I couldn't stop eating. The crust all the way to the end was so good. It was light and chewy, def chef's kiss. Overall, great pizza, but I don't know if I would say it's the best pizza I've had. It's pretty high on the list though! Would say 4.5 out of 5! read more

Did a Williamsburg pizza crawl last weekend - 4 of us, 4 pizza joints. This was the final stop, and we even debated going because we were quite full by now. But we were all glad we did because it was the Best stop. Each couple shared a grandma slice, and despite being full, I probably could've eaten the whole slice on my own. Full of juicy, tangy tomato sauce, crispy on the bottom but fluffy in the middle. And perfectly cooked cheese on top. I could eat a whole pie myself - I was in love. Go here!! I wanted to make Best Pizza my first Pizza destination on this trip, after following videos created by Chef Frank Pinello & watching him celebrate other pizza makers & pizza restaurants over the years , I knew I just had to pay a visit to his restaurant and buy a few slices just out of respect for all that Chef Frank has done for the Pizza Community. The slices at Best Pizza rank up there with some of the better slices of Pizza that I've had in New York . That first bite made me go wow as I tasted the wonderful crust on a perfectly cooked slice of pepperoni, the balance of cheese, sauce & toppings are what every pizza restaurant is attempting to accomplish & Best Pizza does it just as good as anywhere. We bought a few slices, then bought a couple more. Inside dining is very limited, there are only a few places to sit inside & out to eat these slices. Not to worry you can easily stand & eat a slice and talk with some other pizza enthusiasts that are doing the same outside of Best Pizza. We stayed in Brooklyn this trip, it wasn't that bad of an Uber ride to get there, I would take a Lyft or Uber ride or navigate the subway from the Upper East side just to taste that dough again. Easily one of the best pizza joints in the city. The name is no exaggeration. They are one of the Best. The plain slice is awesome. Great cheese, sauce, and the crust is one of the best I have had to date. It is about as perfect as a pizza crust can be. The chew and crispiness is spot on. It has a nice char, but a welcoming sensation that is pleasant on the mouth. Then I tried their white pizza slice. It is fantastic! Excellent applications of cheese and caramelized onions. They certainly use the right combination of cheese and onion to much success. The sesame seeds on there were also a nice touch. It was so good I just kept eating it. Their name is no hyperbole. This is actually the best pizza I've had in my life, full stop. I was eyeing the pepperoni slice, but the Brooklyn friends that I went with recommended I get the cheese instead, and it turned out to be the right call. The cheese slice at Best Pizza is perfection. Just the right amount of cheese, nicely balanced sauce that is neither too sweet nor tangy, charred but not burnt bottom, thin and light crust. Since my first review, I've come here a couple times and also had some NY pizza heavy hitters like Di Fara, Luigi's, Fini. Best Pizza still consistently is the slice that lingers in my thoughts. The thinness, zero undercarriage, playful sauce perfectly complimented by the cheese - everything is just perfect to me. This is my favorite slice in NY right now. I had the white pie and wasn't a fan. One part I did like about it was the sesame seeds by the crust/end of cheese, that was a nice bite. The cheese pizza was the best, but inconsistently warmed from slice to slice. The first slice we got was room temperature, the second was scalding. The cheese and sauce were good not great, the crust was the star. I found the white pizza to actually be dry! The parts with carmelized onion were great, but the other sections were lacking cheese, and bc of that, it was just plain bread. The square was good, but over sauced and greasy.
