Bring a noob in researching different boat rental companies and overall boats in general, some sites looked fake and I really didn't know what type of boat was most friendly for our family vacation. I found Tahoe Waves website to be user friendly and answered most of my questions as a beginner renter. After I had a rental confirmation, I would still have lingering questions and their text service was real great to ask my inquiries. The responses were detailed and seemed to be an actual person on the other side of the text conversation and usually responded within an hour during their normal business hours. Due to a family emergency, we had to cancel our reservation, and was able to receive our money back minus booking fee (which was transparent at time of booking). Hoping to rent with Tahoe Waves at some time in the future!

I've experienced the Mimosa Cruise and they are great at making sure your cup is constantly refreshed. The charcuterie board was very minimal and basic so I suggest eating before or bringing snacks with you to absorb the mimosas. I have also experienced the live music cruise but 10 min before boarding, I received a text saying the musician had double booked so there would be no live music and they offered $20 a person refund which to me seemed a bit ridiculous since the whole purpose of the live music cruise is live music. I felt like a better refund should have been offered or a coupon for 50% off the next cruise. The captain is a lively man and the two women who help steer the boat and serve drinks are great and a lot of fun. I will add that I before purchasing tickets for the first time, I called and left a message because I wanted to verify where the pickup location would be but no one called me back. Also, though I have fun on the cruise and plan to go again, I am a bit worried about the communication and policy of this company after reading other reviews that their cruise was canceled and they had a hard time getting refunded especially after my experience of no live music on a live music cruise and being told last minute and only receiving a small refund.

Five hours later, I was charged an additional $25 for a "child seat"--which I did not rent or use. We specifically asked about pricing for the Rad bike when we arrived, so this charge makes no sense. The same thing happened to two of my friends--they were charged an additional $75 and $50 hours later, also labeled as "child seats." When one of them called to ask about the charge, she was dismissed and told, "you're not that special," . Collectively, we spent nearly $500 that day, only to be hit with unexpected charges that were never disclosed or agreed to. To make matters worse, I am a returning customer. We rented bikes here last summer, and I've brought several visiting families here as well. We own a home in Incline and visit multiple times a year. I mentioned we were from San Diego--perhaps they assumed we were just tourists and wouldn't return. We've all filed chargebacks, and unfortunately, you've lost our future business. This experience was extremely disappointing.
