Have been coming to/ordering take out from Best Teriyaki since I was a child living in the area. It is an ideal distance of less than a ten minute walk from the house, making it possible to call and order take out and pick it up via vehicle or on foot. Food has been consistently excellent over the years, especially their yakisoba. The teriyaki has improved in recent years in terms of quality of cut for the chicken breast teriyaki. Most recently, my parents and I had take out tonight, Saturday 15 July 2023. I went with the Mongolian beef with white rice. The meat was well breaded and cooked, the sauce sweet, and vegetables tender. The rice was soft and not too sticky. We have run into payment issues (being over charged) once, maybe twice. So not a repeating detractor, just an every once in a while something to watch for. read more

Called ahead n picked up Kalbi Teriyaki, Fried Tofu teriyaki and a dragon roll for a special weeknight dinner with the fam. I've always loved the side salad here - it has a sweet and tangy mayo dressing and it's pretty crunchy and fresh, and my mom loves the fried tofu teriyaki. We've been going for probably a decade now and this was my first time getting their sushi - I'd totally recommend the dragon roll! It's tempura shrimp, grilled eel, crab and avocado, (all cooked, I don't usually get raw sushi if I'm taking out). There is a charge for plastic bags that they can remove if you bring your own bag, make sure it's a big bag that can hold everything without spilling! Lol read more

The worst food ever. We have ordered food from the past and it was good. My sweet and sour chicken was dry Side orders of over priced pot stickers were horrible . My husbands Chicken breast and pork teriyaki was small portions and dry not edible. We paid 2.50 for fried rice instead of fried rice we got white rice.He threw everything out and made a toasted cheese sandwich. Over priced and not edible. Pretty sad. This continues to be a "go-to" restaurant for my family. I have always been impressed with their varied menu, friendly customer service and efficient service. Their sushi ranks much higher than what you can find at any grocery store. Everything on their menu they do well. Also because of the variety of the menu - this restaurant truly has something for every taste. The only negative is that the prices have increased a bit. We drove back and I informed the lady of this. She replies "we don't usually provide that". Well, that's fine if people go home and use their own utensils but what if you are not taking it home? I'm not sure why this place has such high reviews. I just wasn't impressed. I ordered chicken and Gyoza. The serving was really big but didn't taste very good. I got the chicken Gyoza but I think the frozen ones I buy and cook at home are better. The chicken and rice was not good. Had the Spicy Chicken and it was grilled just the way i like it and loaded with just the amount of spicyness flavor. I tried the spicy chicken with their Hot Wing sauce and I've always had my spicy chicken that way now. Girlfriend had the Ramen and swears its the best Ramen ever. I think we found our go to spot for Teriyaki and Ramen. Their menu is also full of other choices like gyoza and fish & chips, bulgogi, and other korean-style food as well. Worst Teriyaki and Sushi I've ever had. I ordered the Chicken and Beef teriyaki for my fiance's lunch at work. And Philadelphia Rolls, as a snack for myself. First of all, who mixes their Chicken and Beef together? That threw him off and I asked for extra extra spicy. I don't know what the red sauce in the bottom of his bag was but it clearly wasn't hot sauce because he said it was the opposite of extra spicy And my sushi.....so i asked for no crab (because I'm allergic to shellfish). I've never even heard of crab being in a Philadelphia, I would know, they are my favorite. But it didn't have crab inside () but neither was my cucumber. Just salmon and cream cheese. Tried this place for the first time today. Have been trying to find a halfway decent teriyaki place in the northend for a while. Was very impressed! Had the lunch special of chicken teriyaki with gyoza. Perfect portion size. Chicken nicely grilled, sauce sweet but not too thick. Husband had the chicken katsu. Also impressed. When they first opened they were great! Nice portion sizes, good prices, yummy food. However, over the past few years there have become rather stingy. The portions are half of what they used to be and the postcard are more. They refuse to do swaps and always want to charge you extra. They should go back to how they started. We tried this place last night & it was the perfect mix of what my hubby likes & what I like. We got teriyaki chicken, chicken yakisoba, vegetable saute, gyoza, & an extra salad. Everything was good. Like others said, the chicken is grilled & sauce is thick which I love. The yakisoba did not have sprouts, yay - I like sprouts but not in yakisoba. My 3 yr old couldn't get enough noodles!
