The food is delicious. The woman at the counter was so friendly and helpful! Atmosphere was so nice. I gave this place 2 stars only because I have no complaints on the pastries. I do however have to complain about the service. Drove there to order pastries for Thanksgiving, went to pick them up 2 days later, they can't find my order (my $76.00 order). So they start unloading the pastry case into a box for me. I get home and notice the forgot the most important pastry of all, Cannoli's. Imagine having to show up at my Italian mother in law's house with cannoli's. Fast forward to Thanksgiving morning , they were to open at 7 am till 9 am, so they can sell the rest of their pies, so, I asked if i can pick up the cannoli's , well, I show up at 7 am, they're closed, I wait outside for 10 min. then finally throw in the towel. Extremely overpriced for the worlds most lackluster sandwiches ever. Picked these up while heading to the beach. The caprese panini was just as flat and pathetic as my flat turkey sandwich with 1 piece of turkey in it. Packaged terribly for to go, pickle juice everywhere. Also took them 35 minutes to make 3 sandwiches despite them being the worlds smallest sandwich. They were nice though. read more

We were looking for a cafe for breakfast while staying in Sandwich. We decided Beth's looked safe with the outdoor tables spaced appropriately. Everything looks so yummy inside. We settled on splitting a piece of quiche and a cinnamon roll. Both were excellent. I was excited that they carried Polar Beverages because they are local and reasonably priced. This was the most awful professional cake I have ever bought! Decorations looks like it was done by carvel or a supermarket. Ordered two cakes for my sons birthday, one chocolate and one vanilla. Market basket has a far better cake for 4.95 compared to 25.00 a cake. 5 people could not even finish one slice, the frosting was pure confectioners sugar. This bakery may be fine for muffins but they are awful for cakes! When I ordered the cakes I was not asked color or decorations. Sandwich Center is a cutie pie little town with some noteworthy establishments. My number one pick is Beth's! Number one, the staff are super friendly. I love being greeted by cheerful, Ben. The setting is serene and welcoming with bright lighting and soft colors. The bakery case is chock full of delight. Number two, BEANSTOCK COFFEE. It is a coffee Siberia in these neck of the woods, I mean, GOOD coffee. Yes, I am shouting. Beanstock is legit delicious Cape Cod roasted. Parking is easy, front or back. I don't know how I just discovered this place. I live for a good cup of coffee. I'm not sure if this is the place yet. My friend and I ordered two cappuccinos and these 3 baked goods. The cappuccino was a latte and not hot. The scone was great. The clotted cream and jam for $1 extra was not worth it. It was the clotted cream that I wanted. This was whipped cream and not nearly enough for one scone. My friend's anise cookie was on the dry side. The peanut butter bar....delish. I have been savoring that for the past couple of days. The location, the space and the ambiance was perfect. I will be back to try a cup of coffee and maybe lunch. read more

Two stars because the location is adorable. However, the pastries, not so much. Last Friday. I got a chocolate 'Italian' cookie and a lemon Macaron to go with my coffee. Both were dry and stale. Took one bite of each, tossed them back in the bag to be thrown out. I should have gone back in to complain, but was already on my drive back north of Boston. read more

Came to this coffee shop twice while staying in town for a wedding. The espresso was good (ordered double espresso over ice with almond milk) and so were the baked goods. We tried the raspberry scone and the apple blossom. Both were yummy. While there can be a long line service was good and it was worth the wait to get coffees for the road. read more

I had coffee and pastries every morning during my stay. Everything was so fresh and delicious. My favorite were the cinnamon buns and raspberry danish. I only wish I had more days to try some of their other offerings. Definitely a highlight of my trip. read more

Explored the town of Sandwich during a day-trip to the Cape with my parents. Thanks to Yelp, I was able to find Beth's for a quick lunch stop before heading back to the car after an early morning bike ride. Beth's is a lovely place to enjoy a leisurely snack or lunch either by yourself or with a small group. They've got a plethora of tea options, lots of pastries, and a choice of different sandwiches and small bites. I went for half a BLT and a cup of Butternut Squash and Apple soup (yum!) with a glass of Iced Spiced Plum Tea. It was a nice little spread for lunch, and I especially enjoyed eating it on the outdoor front patio. Parents shared a Sliced Chicken sandwich, which they seemed to be happy with. Didn't get to try any of their pastries, although I almost wish I had. All in all, if I was in the area again, I'd definitely go back to Beth's for a snack. What a great experience my wife and I had using this bakery for our wedding cake. We came to check out the spot and ended up meeting Beth herself. She was warm, kind and inviting. She helped us with all our questions and gave excellent advice. The whole process was very easy and professional. Everything was on time and worry free for us. Now for the cake! We ordered a traditional white frosted vanilla cake with butter cream and chocolate ganache filling. Everything was perfect. The cake came out beautiful and tasted unbelievably good. It was fluffy and moist - delicious and savory. It was a huge hit at the wedding and everyone raved about the flavor! This stop on the way to Cape cod is well worth the time. As the name suggests it is a bakery and cafe. They also serve very good locally roasted coffee. The drip coffee is bottomless if you take it for here. I drank the one that was labelled "robust flavor" I really enjoyed it. We have tried like 6 or 7 different baked goods in two different visits. They were all very good, especially the eclairs and the torts. Each time we come, it is very difficult to decide what to get. The building it is in is very charming. I think I saw a plaque on the outside that it is an old Puritan church from the 1800s. Maybe I am mis-remembering? The people who work there are also very friendly and polite. read more
