I'm really surprised that I've never left Bethune Grill a review!! I tried them a few years ago and was captivated by the BEST wings I've had in my life!!! They have a honey wing that will have you driving for a hour and be well satisfied on your ride home! Their phone line is always busy and at any given time you will drive by and see to go orders lined across the wall and people waiting at the door. I drove by here last month in a attempt to satisfy a craving and they were so busy that I left. My patience gets thinner the older that I get when it comes to the waiting game. Ok I get it now, the honey wings are fire! I heard about Bethune Grill and decided to visit while in Daytona. We arrived in a Saturday afternoon around 4 pm. The line was out the door. The ordering was quick and efficient. Just know it's a small place so you'll have to wait outside for your order. There is only a small bench for waiting in the inside. After I checked out, I realized I hadn't gotten the cole slaw I wanted for my mom who's sitting at her mom's bedside at the hospital. Please bare with me, this is going to be a post on how I feel about everything at Bethune Grille. 1. They are open- please be advised they are only doing chicken wings only on the weekends. If you want fish or a pork chop, you will have to wait until mid week. I wasn't too thrilled with this because my mom had a pork chop pre-Covid and said it was so good. 2- No call ahead orders on the weekend- Unfortunately you can't call ahead over the weekend. I have called ahead before but I found this new rule out when I visited their restaurant. 3. PRICES ARE REASONABLE- You are definitely going to get bang for your buck here. The more wings you order, the less the price will be. 4. Wings are delicious. I don't know about you but I can drive ALL THE WAY BACK TO ORLANDO and these wings are still crispy. The restaurant hasn't been upgraded but I feel as if it adds to the nostalgia of the place. Everyone here is always friendly and I appreciate the new setup of order then pay. The best wings I've had! I was visiting Daytona for a work event and to see my grandfather and a friend planned to meet me at Bethune Grill, he is a local. He had me place the order before he arrived and advise I order "the wings with the sauce." When I asked what kind of sauce he said to just say it exactly like that. Have to stop here every time I come. The staff is friendly and they take your order quickly. The food is so good that people come from Far around to get these wings. The distance is not too far. The wings alone are definitely worth the trip!! Their signature honey sauce is EVERYTHING and I'd love to try it on more options the next time I go. Service isn't the greatest, depending on the time of day but nothing the food didn't make up for. The only reason why I have it a 4 star was due to my fries being cold even though the wings were hot. My boyfriend and I visited Bethune Grill on a whim this weekend. All I can say is these are some of the best wings I've ever eaten. Not only are they full of flavor, but they are nice sized wings. None of those miniature wings you get at most places. Walking in here, I felt the 20+ years of culture and history. The staff were great and seemed like they were all family or close friends by the way they spoke and operated. We ordered both the honey and buffalo wings and while they were both delish, my favorite would have to be the honey. I even mixed the sauces and it was still good, you can't go wrong here. Stopped in here on my way home from Jacksonville. I've always heard about it from my college days and weekend travels to Daytona back in the day but never took the time to get something to go. WELL...yesterday was that day. This place remind me of another wing place in the Melbourne/Palm Bay Area... almost identical style wings. This place is what u call a hole in the wall place..which are usually the best spots... there's literally no room to sit inside to eat.. Only standing room for ordering and 2 benches to sit while waiting for your order. It's hot and humid from the oven and grease like grandma's kitchen. I ordered a 20 pc wing & fries w/ the original sauce, 3 pc tender basket, strawberry and Banana Crème cheesecake that came in a clear bowl. The wings were breaded and fried light soaked in the original signature sauce which is like a mild sweet honey sauce. Wings were good... I love supporting minority owned small businesses when I can...but would come back only if I'm in the area and I have a taste for wings. I wouldn't say they're the best wings I've had... but I would come back to try a different flavor. read more

We parked on the side of the street and walked in to a small crowd. I quickly placed my order though with the lady at the counter. I ordered the 5 Whole Wings with fries. I can't recall the price but it wasn't too expensive at all. I got the spicy sauce She was friendly enough but I can tell customer service is not their strong suit. There was a waiting area up front with cookies and cakes you could buy as well. There was also a separate waiting area with tables and tv's. About 15 minutes later, they called my number. When we got back to the house the food was still hot and fresh. Those wings were sticky, spicy, and sweet!! Soooo good! I have this place 3 stars because I can't say that the chicken was all of that. They tasted like any other wing dings from every other wing shop. However the honey sauce that everyone is talking about was pretty tasty, I just wished that the chicken absorbed it more with a flour, butter milk, and egg based batter, and that it had a little more flavor and wasn't so thin. Other than that it wasn't bad it was definitely some good sauce that I would purchase on its own. The fries were not good at all! I don't know if they bake them or fry them but if you put Chicken Fire's fries with that chicken you may have something but other than that the fries were sad. I will be back next time but know I know to order the bottle of sauce and if I just have to have fries, pour half the bottle of sauce on the fries. Seeing how this is the first place that I visited when I came to Florida, their customers service left such a good impression on me, that I believed that I would find it throughout the state and yes, customer service has be spot in so far. read more
