Beto's Tacos has quickly become one of my new favorite places! I ordered the birria tacos and nachos, and everything was absolutely delicious. Since I had a drive home, I asked if all of the nacho toppings could be packed on the side. They didn't hesitate at all, and I really appreciated that they didn't skimp on the toppings like so many places do with to-go orders. Everything was packaged perfectly, and my nachos were just as delicious when I got home. The customer service was every bit as good as the food. Kevin took my order, and he was incredibly friendly, patient, and welcoming. He made me feel like they genuinely appreciated my business. The experience was so good that I came back a few days later for lunch! I saw Kevin again (I'm sure he didn't remember me ), and he was just as kind as before. I also noticed that the rest of the staff were smiling, friendly, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. That kind of atmosphere makes such a difference and says a lot about a restaurant. Delicious food, generous portions, and a team that clearly cares about their customers. I eat taco's 3 to 4 times a week. I ordered street tacos here. I had 2 Barbacoa, 2 Camaron and 2 Lengua. None of the meat had any spice in it. It all tastes like boiled meat. The corn tortillas were fresh and good and the salsa was good, but very disappointed in the meat flavoring. This one comes off my list. read more

I ordered through Uber Eats, so can't speak to the dining experience, but the food was good, reasonably priced, and well packaged. Food was also delivered quickly; everything was still hot. The queso with chorizo was good--the chorizo wasn't too salty and the queso was solid. I had several tacos; the Al pastor and pork belly were the best. First let me say that we're a frequent diner at Beto's - love the food and service of this place(would give 4-5 stars). However, need to say that I was really surprised by the cost of the shrimp ceviche. Know we've gone through rapid inflation, but this is shrimp and not lobster and to almost pay what I would pay at an upscale steak house for a plate of shrimp ceviche was shocking. Parking is a real mess, but you if you can find a spot to park give it a try. It's is also difficult to find a place to sit at lunch time. They give you chips and salsa for free. Not bad. The staff is very attentive and friendly to the customers. The food is plenty and affordable. My first time I had carne asada plate which was huge and I had enough for two days. My second meal was a Neto's burrito with carne asada. That was disappointing as it was stuffed with rice and beans. The steak had been minced and there were very few pieces inside. If you know this chain restaurant, then you know that you don't need my review to trust the delicious food of Beto's. VIBE: Order at the counter and then grab your salsa, fill your drink, and pick a spot. It's a bit tighter in here than most restaurant spots, but the local feel is part of the attraction. The menu is posted pretty large right by the order counter to help you point and pick. DRINKS: They do have various flavors of Jarrito's and a few aguas frescas. The aguas and horchata are on the sweeter side, which seems to be more popular for most people anyways. The flavors are great! Fountain drinks are pretty reliable, and there are actually a few options for beer - bottled domestic bottles and even a Beto's lager. FOOD: The promise in the name holds at this place. The tacos are great!! What is most exciting about them is the amount of flavor, toppings, and texture packed in each bite of such a tiny handheld treat. There are a number of different tacos to choose from, including multiple vegetarian options, making it fun to mix and match. Chips and the salsa bar are fair game with your order, which makes for an added benefit at an order-at-the-counter spot that usually doesn't provide much service. All plates have an authentic feel. Even the soup comes as a huge serving with tortillas and onions on the side. The soup tastes as though it has been cooking together all the spices over time, and I'd highly recommend you order it for take away if you're sick because it's filled with carrots and chicken thigh. I almost didn't post this review yet because I wanted to be able to share more about the different menu options, but that just goes to show that there are tons of options. I have been wanting to try this place since it opened! We love street tacos and couldn't pass up an opportunity to try it out! It's not in the John's Creek Village shopping center. It is behind LA Fitness on McGinnis Ferry. There's plenty of parking one this private lot. I love the idea of the kiosk right at the entrance for to go orders instead of standing in line. It was quite busy on this Sunday evening, but ordering was easy and I was able to pay. The order took about 10 mins to prepare. I checked out the salsa bar and settled on the tomatillo green salsa (med) and the orange extra spicy salsa along with the pickled onions with habanero. I ordered Beto's burrito with Al pastor and pork belly along with a side of cheese dip. The burrito is huge!! It was plenty for us to share. You can choose 2 meats and I got al pastor and pork belly. I like the pork belly more, not sure if the al pastor was too close to the sour cream or too much lime, but the meat was a bit sour. I love the creamy cheese dip with fresh jalapeños on top. The chips are light, crispy and just a bit salty. I enjoyed the meal and can't wait to come back to try their other items. read more

Love the Carne asada here. Had the Carne Asada tacos, and also had the Carne Asada salad. Later tried the Carnitas Torta. It was really good, but I still prefer the asada. I haven't had many other tacos in town and now I won't even have to. They are as perfect as they can be outside of a street cart in Mexico at 2am. Delicious, and they have several different salsas to choose from. I saw this place on a firehouse subs run and was instantly curious. I love street tacos and I've heard a lot about Birria tacos and have always been curious to try. If this is what Birria tacos are like I certainly want more. The staff here is so great and helpful. They saw from afar I was coming in with two kids and they rushed to open the door for us and help us set up our children's stuff. The cashier was also very forthcoming with what we should try since it was our first time there and I wanted to get other things besides the Birria. My only gripe is their queso dip. I am a sucker for queso blanco but paying 6$ for a tiny styrofoam cup? I think not. At least give me a large deceptively shallow dish of it so it looks like I'm getting more than I am! I hate feeling ripped off. However, it wasn't so offensive as to take away from the dining experience as a whole. I love Beto's Tacos!!! Not only are their tacos great, but they have a lot of other options as well such as quesadillas, burritos, and sandwiches. I like the Suwanee location, and this Johns Creek one is great as well. My go-to are the shrimp tacos and the veggie burrito. The shrimp is well seasoned and great on corn tortillas topped with pico and lettuce. Their burritos here are huge and stuffed. You will definitely be full so I'd recommend it if you're hungry. There's also a sauce/topping bar so you can customize it how you like. There are small containers to take sauces to go easily as well. I love the pickled onions here. They have a kick as there are peppers in it. I like to order online. It's so easy and it's ready for pick up as soon as I get there. The staff is always efficient. First-Kudos to the owner for making it and expanding. I will support him through showing up and grinding everyday. From truck to multiple brick&mortars..be proud of where you came from, where you are and where you're heading. My first issue- Businesses opening before they have full food and liquor licenses. It's my opinion, that without both you aren't delivering on your mission and the whole dining experience. I totally get bills and investors, but if you have it listed on your menu and in your social media/photos-you need to deliver on your product. We came for beer and tacos- We didn't get beer. My first love- The salsa/topping bar. I love being able to get extra of the things that I like. If you like pickled anything GET THE ONIONS...they're spicy and vinegary and delicious!! The salsas were all good, but to me they take a back seat to the pickled onions. I also love that they have crema instead of sour cream. Tacos I got: Lengua, Pibil and El Pastor....all of them were okay and if the meat wasn't held warm for service and probably reheated over a couple of days, they would all be wonderful...but all three of them were dry, slightly mealy and lacked in the depth of flavor that I know they could and should-because of them being held and reheated. All of the accompanying toppings were really good. Pineapple, pickled red onions, onions/culantro...zero issues. Quesadilla/Fries/Chips/Queso-No problems and all is as it should be. Service: All polite and genuinely nice. None of them really offered much help or suggestions on food choices. After you order, you're on your own-don't really expect anyone to check in on you-see how you're doing or really even make eye contact in general. For the most part they talk with each other, spend time on their phones or compile orders for take-out or deliver them to tables. Not really a negative, but more of a heads up. We might come and check them out again, once they have alcohol so we can enjoy our meal in its entirety...but for now, we will travel elsewhere. read more

We are visiting family, and wanted to try something for lunch that isn't the usual thing. Man loves Mexican and we found this place to be TOP TIER amazingly authentic! The service was sweet and helped me pick out what to eat. The burritos are HUGE! I could only eat half but my god, it took me on a whole experience. My better half's birria street tacos with the sauce for a dip was heaven in my mouth. I wish we lived here to experience this restaurant at least once a week! Husband ordered the quesabirria which had way more cheese (more like quesadilla) than he wasn't expecting. He meant to order the regular birria tacos instead. He did say flavor was good but it was overwhelmingly cheesy for him. If you love cheese, this is for you. They also provide you with a large basket of chips so no need to order it separately. Meat seasoned very well. I saw the Al Pastor had rave reviews, but it wasn't flavorful, the pineapples didn't taste good, probably had some potential warm, but room temp it was terrible. The Nachos De Carne had no carne lol it was literally a scavenger hunt for meat. Decent flavor though. Oh the sauce to food ratio was terrible. We ordered 6 tacos and nachos and got 4 sauces total. My experience was 3/5 all things considered. I'll def try them again if I see another BOGO deal. Otherwise I'll avoid as $5 Tacos are just overpriced imo. Hand down one of my favorite fast service Mexican places in the Johns creek area. Rather than going to Moe's or Chipotle, definitely give this place a try. I went for the second time yesterday and got the gym chicken burrito which while doesn't look super filling, was really filling with a good amount of chicken and veggies. Before, they didn't give chips for free but if you are dining in, they give chips for free and have a good range of salsas. My favorite salsa is the medium one with cilantro which makes it really refreshing. The area does fill up pretty quickly m, so make sure to come by early if you want to grab a table. My wife and I are very happy that they've opened this location. We'd eaten at the Suwanee location several times and also at the Lawrenceville location and often agreed that we wished one was closer to our house. Well now there is one much closer to our house! We've enjoyed this location three times in the last month and a half. The salsa bar is awesome! We enjoyed bringing out of town guests here. I'm not sure how this place isn't packed, except it's a bit far from us. We were in the area and this place was on my list to try. We loved it and we'll definitely be back. The birria tacos were flavorful without being too spicy or greasy, and the tortillas were freshly fried. The gringas with the pork and pineapple combination were delicious too and loved that the meat was lean. The cheese dip was pretty basic but loved the thin and crispy chips. Beto's taco is one of the best Mexican restaurant I ever been to. (Mezcalito's cocina was the best.) The meat is perfect seasoned and the drinks are the best. The Mango juice is my favorite! The workers are nice and the tables are always clean. Definitely stop by and try the food! read more
