I can never eat here again. I ordered Bean and cheese burritos for me and my family in the drive through. I wish we tried it before we drove away. The burritos were so salty that they were not edible. I tried to eat mine because I literally just spent $40 on this food. I ended up throwing it up because I couldn't eat it. I went there yesterday for a carne asada burrito and won't be back any time soon. I think the cooks in the back were having a competition as to who could make the chewiest, hardest asada with the most amount of gristle, and the winner served theirs to me. They have a reputation for not following through on special orders as well, even if you pay extra. read more

Food was great. Customer service is really really poor. I've gone more than once just because I work nearby. You try to say thank you and they flat out ignore you, slam the window on your face. Worst customer service we've experienced at a restaurant! We did a drive through order for over $45. We realized after our order the we had forgotten to order one side of chips & one side of beans. Rather than stay in the drive through (there were no other cars there at that time) we parked and walked in to add to our order. There was one other couple ordering. We ordered the chips & beans. Over the next ~25-minutes multiple cars came through & their orders were filled. I could see my order slip & watched as they kept putting other orders in front of ours. I finally asked the person at the counter whe they thought our order would be filled. They asked the cook who looked at me & started shouting at me that he "was filling larger orders" and he "would get to me when he'd get to me". At this point having been embarrassed by the staff and having a crying baby in the car we left without our order and no offer of refunding our money! The food quality is marginal at best. We have been going to this Beto's for about 5 years, since moving to North Salt Lake. We order the same thing every time and it has always been a little over $20, for what we get. We got dinner on 1/19/2024 and when my husband paid for it, it was $49.10. That was a shock. We got one extra chile verde burrito with extra verde sauce on both. There was no extra verde, they both were cold and they charged us 3 times for extra verda sauce, they have NEVER charged for extra verde sauce before. We also got a carne asada burrito, asked for no quacmole, but would like sour cream, they charged us for that also, .99 cents, but have never been charged anything for that. Almost $50 for that and that is about twice what we have paid in the past, for the last 5 years that we have been going there. All the food was cold, had to reheat when got it home, and we only live right around the corner from the North Salt Lake one. Very disappointed, will not go there again and will not recommend it to anyone anymore. read more

Went through the drive through and was called a whore (puta) through the intercom by the employee working. He was rude and continued to call us derogatory terms throughout the transaction. We were treated with no respect and with outright contempt by the employees of the establishment. On top of that they took well over a reasonable expected time to prepare our food and all but threw the bag out of the window at us. I really wish that i was just being over dramatic and unfair right now but have nearly they treated us so poorly. This Betos location is incredibly the best choice for breakfast lunch or dinner. You can taste the food quality in every bite and that goes for every dish they serve. Our office orders from here twice a week and even with our large variety order the food quality is always above par! We also very much appreciate the hospitality and smiles each time we return. When I order the things I like it's fine but tonight I ordered a taco salad. It had 2 full breasts in it, 2 separate orders of beans and 1 was great and the other runny. The enchiladas were less than great, the beef had more onions and peppers then beef. The chicken had the correct meat to cheese ratio. Its ALWAYS difficult to order due to the language barrier. Its not worth going there for good food. This is probably the last time we will go there and I would not recommend this place to anyone read more

The five stars is for their carne Asada fries, and only at this location. I have since moved away and still dream of these carne Asada fries. After living in Tucson for a decade I became doubtful that I would ever find Mexican food that would satisfy my standards. Then I found Beto's. Portions are huge and the authentic Sonoran flavors are spot on. The location that was once the shockingly awful Humberto's has transformed itself into my number one most reliable and gratifying source for ultra-casual Mexican cuisine. Two thumbs way up. Just don't expect decor - it's way stark. It's all about the food. Perhaps with enough local support they'll hang some sombreros from the ceiling. Or piñatas... That would be fun. This place SUCKS. Coming from someone who works with food and customer service, I am appalled at the way I have been treated here. I would NEVER treat someone like they ALWAYS treat me. I've come here MORE than ten times giving the place the benefit of the doubt and ordering for my family of 7. I have had my food thrown back at me, eyes rolled at me every time I come, and countless orders messed up with nothing but attitude from the women working when I tell them they've messed it up. I'm never rude and I know sometimes people have bad days, but this is beyond ridiculous. I'd rather drive 15 minutes to the next one than to ever come here again. This place is legit. Way better than your run of the mill Mexican restaurant. Had the carne asada taco and California burrito. The taco was one of the best I've ever had.
