We had our master bathroom completely remodeled - down to the studs. That included taking out a…read moredifficult spa tub, rebuilding the floor, tearing down a shower - everything gone. In its place is a beautiful walk-in-shower, new upper & lower cabinets where the old shower was, new vanity, new lighting, beautiful porcelain floor tile, bidet seat for the toilet, they even stripped the popcorn ceiling and repainted it. The bathroom took time - with snow storms causing a minor delay, a long freeze requiring their plumbers to address other customer's emergencies - but it is gorgeous! We love our new master bathroom. Additionally, every carpenter, plumber & electrician that worked on the bathroom were gentlemen - friendly, accommodating and precise in their responsibilities and work done. We would recommend WB Dickenson in a heart beat.

Called the office again on Tuesday and was told that they would arrive Wednesday. They did not arrive. Thursday, they arrived without notice around 3:30. The plumber who was difficult to understand said that it was plumbed incorrectly and he would have to re-pipe in the basement and that it was too late to do that day so he would have to come back another day. Since this has been working for over 80 years, I felt that the more likely scenario was an issue with the mechanism within the tank. At around 4pm, the same person/receptionist that I had spoken with, called and asked for payment of $165 dollars. I provided the credit card and made the payment. I explained that although I am not a plumber, I wanted to better understand the problem prior to paying and additional $500. She said that she understood my concerns and would have someone call me Friday. Of course I was not called. They demonstrated urgency in securing payment for the call fee and half-hour minimum, however, their performance in meeting agreed-upon obligations was lacking.

I recommend getting a second opinion before making major decisions based on this company's…read moreinspection. Glasco came for what was scheduled as a routine furnace checkup. Three people arrived, which surprised me. Shortly after starting, I was told they had "bad news" and that a crack in the heat exchanger was found using a borescope. I was told they could not show me a clear image because the camera battery had died, and a second, lower-resolution camera produced a fuzzy image. No carbon monoxide or combustion analysis report was provided. Despite this, the furnace was tagged "do not operate," shut off, and I was billed $293. Immediately afterward, one of the individuals--who turned out to be a salesperson--was prepared to provide instant quotes for a new system, which felt high-pressure given the circumstances. I obtained an independent second opinion from another licensed HVAC company. They performed a full combustion and CO analysis in front of me, provided a written report, and confirmed that while my system is old, it is currently safe and not leaking CO. I contacted Glasco's salesperson and service manager, shared the independent report, and requested a refund. I also filed a BBB complaint. Weeks later, I have received no response. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend independent testing and documentation before acting on safety claims or replacement recommendations.

When they came last week, there was a malfunction with air vent, were given the estimate ($1,917). They had to purchase the part and worked on it and had the problem resolved. We were then told the 'igniter' was worn down and it would need to be replaced. Since they had the part and technician was already here, we were given the estimate of $620 which we approved. He completed that work in less than 20 minutes. I asked for a receipt and expected to see the cost for the part and labor. We requested the receipt more than once and when received only the total was listed... I know that part is less than $50, and we would be ok if as a customer, we would be told what their hourly rate is (like electricians, plumbers). When I called and spoke to "John' I was told this was their flat rate, that they don't disclose the cost for parts... We feel at a minimum that the customer is entitled to have a clear itemized bill.
