I really wanted to love this location because I enjoy Better Buzz in general, but the San Marcos store is by far the worst. Every single visit has been frustrating. * Inconsistent drinks: This is the biggest issue. The same order never tastes the same twice -- sometimes it's too strong, other times it's completely watered down. I've honestly stopped bothering to customize my order because it doesn't matter; the end result is never consistent. * Long waits: There is always a crazy wait. Thirty minutes or more is the norm, even when the café doesn't look that busy. The line management is terrible and adds to the frustration. * Frequent mistakes: On top of the wait and watered-down drinks, my order is often wrong. Whether it's the milk, syrup, or size, it feels like they just don't pay attention. I've given this location multiple chances, hoping they would improve, but it's consistently disappointing. Better Buzz as a brand can do better -- unfortunately, this San Marcos location drags down their reputation. read more

I was in the neighborhood and in desperate need of coffee, but wanted to try something different. The drive thru area is really complicated and there are two lanes, but only one window so when it gets really busy I can see the chaos that will ensue when the lanes try to merge. The menu has a few seasonal items and some of their classics, but the menu is pretty small compared to other coffee places. I opted for Hazelnut Divinity and it was ok. There wasn't a strong coffee taste and just only tasted sweet, but not really hazelnut flavor either. Next time I would either get an extra shot in it or try their Best Drink Ever. Also be prepared to speak loudly into the microphone at the drive thru because our barista couldn't hear us and I had to yell our order to her in order for her to hear us. read more

Always a great place to go. Even though it is small, the place produces great things. I've been wanting to Franchise one forever and sent several emails starting from 7-9 years ago to open on in Murrieta. All I got in response was "we are not franchising at the moment." And what happens? They build one in Menifee and one in Temecula. I don't think it's right but it's ok. The coffee is always great, the pastries are tasty, and the service is polite and fast. I'm a huge fan of Better Buzz and this is a cute little drive thru spot so don't expect to go inside an actual coffee shop. They do have tables set up outside for you to enjoy your cup of coffee. Been here quite a few times and it's usually busy, not super packed but it is a busy spot. So lucky to have this Better Buzz location around the corner from my work. It's a busy location so be patient. I like to use my mobile app and place my order on my drive into work so it's ready for a fast pick up. When I have a little bit of extra time I'll drive thru. The staff is always welcoming but Sierra is my absolute favorite. She's a ray of sunshine in the morning and she makes an amazing Mocha de Mexico. My favorite along with a pistachio croissant...perfection. I also really like their best drink ever and hazlenut divinity coffees. If you're more into iced drinks I highly recommend an Iced Matcha Tea Latte. It's the best!! I scale my drinks back on sweetness but that's just my personal taste. 'Best Drink Ever' is my go to good at home so only right to order here! Nice, clean and welcoming staff. We also ordered the Avocado Toast that was so delicious (especially with squeezed lemon) so yum. They have a drive through if you don't want to get out of your car. We ordered inside and happy we did. Cool merch, whole beans, açaí bowls. Options available for avocado toast which was a nice touch. We are coffee snobs and would for sure go back! I'm obsessed with Better Buzz coffee. I'm so basic and constantly get the Iced Vanilla Latte, but it is PERFECT every-time, and whipped together so fast! I am honestly surprised how fast my coffee is made even when they have a line busting out the drive thru! My only protest is that I get more points for my coffee! This location is one of the smallest and usually most difficult to order from if you want it to be quick. The line throughout the parking lot can take over 40 minutes sometimes. I prefer to mobile order here and usually that goes well. I'll only risk hopping in line if I know it's not a busy day/time. Parking and getting out to order in person hasn't been quicker either. Although it does take time here, my drinks and food have always been delicious! It is also an almost convenient location for north county since it is along the 78. My most recent visit was a breeze! Service is the slowest I've ever had at any better buzz or any coffee location. Took almost 15 minutes for 1 açaí bowl they make us pull forward to then wait more. Then walk the bowl out hand is no napkins no spoon. My husband gets out to go to the window now to ask for a spoon gets ignored for an additional 3 minutes he's like "hellooo can someone get me a spoon please" lol. This isn't the first time either.
