I was able to get an appointment fast. The front desk lady was nice and friendly. When I walked into the office, it seemed clean and there was Hawaiian music playing... felt pretty tranquil to be honest and I was just in the middle of planning my trip to North Shore... so just felt right. The doctor was nice and friendly. She asked me a lot of questions and focused in on the areas I was struggling with. Before she started straight to adjustments, she recommended I use electro therapy and a heat pack to warm/loosen up the area before she made any adjustments. During my adjustments she was checking in with me to make sure everything was good. She was very reassuring and kind. As with most chiropractors, she was also freakishly strong and was able to adjust me with what appeared to be very little effort. I never once felt uncomfortable in the office. She shared some local spots on Oahu I haven't checked out yet so added those to my yelp collection. I haven't been to other chiros in the area but the prices were a bit on the high side compared to back home. But good professionals are hard to find and I'm more than happy to pay for quality work and support. Thank you and I hope to come back in the future for adjustments. read more

Just came from my first visit and am impressed, relieved, and grateful to have found Dr. Chung's office. Her adjustment was really thorough, really strong and felt really effective. Everyone was really nice and helpful. Mostly, Dr. Chung listened and her physical examination showed she wanted to resolve my issue, not just send me through protocol. After the adjustment, she examined more of my movements to see what else has happened and what I should be doing and broke it down for me. Really appreciated. read more

When I had injured my back several years ago, I tried a number of solutions including my family doctor, but none were able to cure my pain. After only two visits with Better Health, most of my pain was relieved and I was able to move without difficulty within a weeks time. I never knew what a chiropractor did until I met with Dr. Chung. She was very personable and answered any questions I had. She sat patiently to listen to my concerns and addressed each issue as she examined my back and neck. I had an injury from my yoga practice 4 years ago and she was able to pop my neck back into place. It sounds scary, but she walks you through it very nicely so you know exactly what to expect. So far, it's been just one day after she adjusted me and my neck feels better... it's definitely less tender at the spot where she adjusted. I also went through this type of therapy where the attach electrode type patches to my neck and under my shoulder blades. It's supposed to calm muscles and relief stress. A little strange, but a new experience. After 15 minutes of the therapy a hot pad was placed under my neck and back... felt so good! It's a good thing my insurance covers visits to the chiropractor! I anticipate going here more often. They also offer massages at a reasonable price. I believe it's 55 for regular, 65 deep tissue, and 60 for combo. read more

I love going to Dr. Chung! I was always skeptical of chiropractors, but the adjustments really do a wonder on my body. I have gotten massages and adjustments here and have been very pleased with the professionalism and kindness by Dr. Chung and her staff. Whereas a lot of doctors are rushed and impersonal, Dr. Chung is very kind, patient, and takes the time to get to know you and your body. My first visit to this office I was very nervous but Tim and Melissa in front office reassured and calmed me. Doc is very gentle and helped me a lot with my back, wrist, and ankle. I am so grateful for my girls at Better Health Chiropractic!! This seriously is such a comforting place to get treated at after such traumas such as bad car accidents as I was and many of Dr. Jonie's patients have also been. The women attending the front desk are so nice and caring and never rude. They also perform your physical therapy for you (Joanna from there does the massages which are the BEST and she is so knowledgeable in what she does! I saw and felt so much relief from her massages). Dr. Jonie is so caring and takes the time to not rush her clients and listens to them and truly builds relationship with them yet she is super QUICK lol! I'm always amazed in how quickly she can go through treating patients and that is why they usually are okay with taking in walk ins (yet she still takes the time with them to listen and care!) She also has her own kids at home that she adjusts so that's why I would trust her in her knowledge and experience with adjusting kids of all ages :) (and a lot of her clients are kids too! Yet ranging from old and young age). She also has a great first visit consultation where she really investigates your needs and does X-rays. Not even the emergency hospital I went to after my accident did X-rays, but she did! Wow, what more can be said, BHC was a great and professional experience. Dr. Jonie Chung Morita was friendly and outgoing, and really helped out my super tight back. The front office staff are energetic and attentive. But last but not least, their foot expert Heidi. If anyone knows her way around a ultrasound machine it's her. My foot was in extreme pain and after just one session with Heidi my foot felt 10000x better. If you ever find yourself in the Diamond Bar area and are in need of a chiropractor come to Better Health Chiropractic. Dr. Chung is a miracle worker!! I've been to so many chiropractors in my life, but it wasn't until I met Dr. Chung did I genuinely feel cared for!! Every Chiropractor I've been to in the past have been motivated by money/greed, have been impersonal, and have always rushed me during appointments. I've been looking for someone to trust for a very long time, so I'm very thankful to have found Dr. Chung in recent years! Upon meeting Dr. Chung, it's so obvious how smart, knowledgeable, and capable she is, but she's also very humble, honest, compassionate, and takes time to understand you and your body. I came here after my car accident. Dr. Jonie is super sweet and takes her time with every patient no matter how booked she is. She is very good at adjustments - I have felt so much better and am actually able to move my neck around freely now. I have heard other chiropractors are often very rough, but not Dr. Jonie.
