Order takeout for my family, two cheeseburgers and the 2 hotdogs with crunchy fries. They actually served me the hotdog with half a bun, just placed the hotdog on top!! No toppings! I asked for like onions relish mayonnaise nothing!! the french fries were so hard you could not chew them and the hamburgers let's just say gross. Whoever is the Cook needs some training because they don't know what the hell they're doing. will never step foot in there again! They should change the name to out of the Bun because we all got sick! we only had a few bites, in the trash It went, gross. I can't say nothing nice about this place. Came because of the name but I keep coming back for the food! The burgers and chicken sandwiches here are fantastic! And you can not miss out on getting a side of fries too. The fries here are uniquely different and go perfectly with the sandwiches! They also a great selection of sodas you dont come across at other burger spots! The service here is also very kind and welcoming and if your new they are happy to help recommend you something on the menu that youd enjoy! I dropped by Between the Bunz for lunch after an appointment on the Automile, and I am glad I did!! I got the Buttah Burger (2 patties) and it was everything I love about a smash burger. I also got the crinkle-cut fries w/ the Liquid Gold honey mustard, and man, these were sooo good too. That honey mustard is maybe the best I have ever had and the fries were super crisp/crunchy. It was definitely a heavy lunch, but you know what you are getting into, and they really hit this particular type food out of the park. Looking forward to returning and trying the chicken! read more

This place is definitely worth the stop. The sign for Lobster rolls caught our eye and we went in to learn more about what else they serve. The 2 owners were there and so passionate. And the vibe is great - so not Norwood. We ordered 2 lobster rolls for $26..... absolutely a fantastic price, and absolutely delicious (one called Maine the other Connecticut) the chef graciously gave us their crinkle cut seasoned fries to try which were delicious too. Now that is customer service. We will stop in again to try their other items soon. It's great to have a new business in such a prime location in Norwood. read more

I'm going to start with the fries here. First let me say by the time I got home they were cold. Second let me tell you it didn't matter. These are some amazing fries and were just as tasty cold as I assume they would be hot. Also had a hot dog..great casing and condiments were put on with proportion (it didn't drip mustard). Great dog. Smash Burger was pretty good but too much sauce caused the bun to kinda dissolve half way through and made the wrapper and the bag greasy. read more

Got the woppah combo with fries and a side of special sauce. It's awesome, would get again. The special sauce is great with the fries. Next time I'm going to get an extra patty on the burger, inhaled the entire burger and wish I had a lil more meat. Great spot, good prices and delicious. Beyong fabulous!! Incredible Buttah Burger and a perfectly fried chicken sandwich perfectly complemented with bleu cheese dressing! And the fries are crinkle cut and crispy...so rare in a restaurant! Between the Bunz- ridiculously good! My wife and I just had our first of many visits there this evening 8/12/25. Elevated hot dogs, smash burgers, and chicken sandwiches as well as lobster rolls. Truly one of the best burgers I have ever had. I had the double Whoppah. The quality and taste of the meat is sublime. These guys also specialize in homemade sauces (eight I believe) and they are delicious, alone and on the food. The seasoned fries and sauces are a must. Tip- get the slaw. My wife had the Hot Chicken Sandwich. Sooo good. Seriously, it was one of those eating experiences where the conversation between us for twenty minutes consisted solely of moans, eye rolls, and upward head tilts while we experienced 20 minute FOODGASMS! Their huge homemade cookies (made fresh daily- as is all their food) are only $2 a piece. They could easily charge $5. We took home six different cookies and they did not disappoint! We want to taste EVERY item on the menu. That has never happened to me in my life (I am north of 60). The atmosphere inside is upbeat, funky and artistic. We had the privilege of a two long convos with one of the owners- Mark. He took ten minutes to explain every meal and its components/ ingredients for us 1st timers. He also has an interesting story to tell about how Between the Bunz came to be. He is personable, professional and his passion for the food that he and the other owner create, cook and serve is evident. They love what they do - and it shows in their food. What makes a great eatery? Love and care (or so says my buddy who runs an exceptional deli on the west side of SF). The owner of this new spot on Norwood Common has plenty of both. The Connecticut style double lobster roll special was delicious, and equaled other rolls around Boston that are twice the price.
