As I said, I'd keep you posted as to the progress of the Southern California move to North Carolina. The move took place on August 1st. The range for truck arrival was between 8 and 10am. The enormous truck and crew arrived exactly at 8. We were greeted by an enthusiastic crew. As I understand it, the driver works for Allied and the four-person crew is local company that contracts with Allied. I may have that wrong. The crew was absolutely terrific. It's damn hard work. I'm glad they consumed nearly all of the water we had on hand. They handled our belongings with great care and packed the truck with the same look as a 500 piece puzzle. We were more than impressed by everyone involved. The only head scratch that I had was no one from local Allied HQ didn't call on move day to inquire about the progress and if all was going well. Perhaps that's not something that is typically done. All in all, move day was a completely satisfying experience. Stay tuned for the final review after delivery. So here we go with the final step of this review. We're here in NC and, of course, we're anxiously awaiting to hear from our great team leader/driver Daniel on when he might be arriving. We had a pretty big window. Well, Thursday we got the call to say yesterday, Friday, was the day. They arrived exactly on time. Daniel popped out of the truck ready to go. The local crew was terrific. Everything went great. So, my final paragraph, this move was terrific on the packing and delivery. Professional all the way. read more

This is an excellent storage and moving company. 1) My Parents used them when we moved to the UK when I was a child, and years later when they sent for the furniture to be sent to the UK everything arrived in perfect condition. 2) Later my parents separated, and my mother had some of the furniture shipped back to Los Angeles, my Dad kept other things in the UK. 3) Mother used them to get settled in her new house, and later on to move to a condo in the Wilshire Corridor, and later on many of her things were packed up in their storage unit in Gardena when she went into assisted living. After mother died we went through her possesions , which were beautifully packed, very very carefully , many things we kept, but some things were donated, or sold at consignment. 4) We were living in SM condo but in 2009 an upstairs neighbor's toilet overflowed that effected 5 units, and they packed up many of the things in our condo during the repair that the insurance company paid for. The insurance company rented a furnished place for us for a few months, and BH Transfer and Storage, brought over some things, and brought some items back to our condo. 5) A few months later we moved to another condo a few blocks away, and BH Transfer and Storage brought over various things from, many , many items from their facility in Gardena.Everything was carefully packed, and nothing broke was damaged at all. We give BH transfer and storage a total of rave, they're excellent. read more

My husband and I used this company to move across the country in 2021. I had quite a large library of books and I've NEVER had luck with movers gently handling books. I always inevitably unbox some with ripped or crumpled covers and there was no exception with this mover. We paid dearly to move my library given how heavy books are. Over time, I realized I was missing books. Whole sets by a single author were missing along with other titles that I knew I had. I know that they wanted to get our entire house into one van, including the books, and also not go over a weight limit. Funny that the amount of books I discovered missing amounted to several boxes of books they probably thought I'd never miss because I had so many. I was an English professor and books are my tools of the trade. I KNOW what's in my library. This is inexcusable! read more

Deceptive business practices are how this moving company operates. Please don't be fooled by the 5-star ratings and Allied backing. The scheduler demanded payment for services not provided and blackmailed us for tens of thousands of dollars while we disputed charges. Fraudulent charges were found on the inventory list, labor was charged even though it wasn't provided, and the original estimate was significantly lower to entice us to use them. An itemized list of charges or bill of lading was never provided by one of the managers. She even denied knowing what itemized meant. Another manager never called me back. The company phone line was never answered. Check the Better Business Bureau (BBB): This company stole from a customer on 05/13/2021. BEWARE! I have filed a complaint with the Department of Transportation to protect others from companies like this. read more

Yes unpacked everything and still no silver or wedding rings. It breaks my heart every time I think about it. My grandma was so proud of her silver that she started collecting at age 16. Now she's 88 years old and has no silver to put out for our family gatherings. We filed a claim and got denied. Filed an appeal and they stated it was denied because we did not let them know it was missing before they left the day everything was delivered. We never had a chance. That would have been impossible to unpack and account for everything while they stood there and waited - there were hundreds of boxes. Just use this as a learning experience so it doesn't happen to you!! read more

I initially thought they did a great job, but after I unpacked all of my boxes I realized one designer bag and wallet were missing. I am very particular about my belongings and know these are the only two items that were missing. The company says we did not properly count all boxes when retrieving them from the storage unit to determine if something was missing, but there are no boxes missing, only these two items. The missing items were located in my closet directly next to all other bags and wallets that made it to me in the move. Company wouldn't assist with replacing the stolen items. Beware of using this company if you plan to use packing services. read more

I could not have asked for a better moving experience, moving from LA to SD. This was our first time using movers and we are so glad we went with this company. From start to finish, we had top notch service. We worked with Joe Hansard who had excellent communication, came out and did a survey of our apartment, and gave us a fair quote which was within our budget. We got the most reasonable quote from this company compared to others. They seemed to be honest and helpful. When it came to the packing/movers, Art's team was very efficient at packing our stuff, and they handled everything with such care (every single kitchenware was wrapped in paper!) They also documented all our items so nothing would be misplaced. It took about 5 hours to pack and load up the truck, and we were on our way. The movers who came out for delivery the next day, Chris and his team, were also very hardworking, and dealt with challenges of our new place's layout with such good attitudes and care of our belongings. They even arranged some of the rooms for us despite the boxes everywhere. We also moved in July (still during COVID), and the movers wore masks during it all. Would highly recommend!! Beverly Hills Transfer & Storage mistakenly unloaded a box off their truck at my house that belongs to another customer. The box has a numbered label so it could easily be tracked to the owner. The box has someone's old family photos in it. After discovering the box is not ours, I have spent months trying to get the company to either pick it up or send me a shipping label for the box. I've been told a half dozen times that "someone will call me back" to deal with it. No one ever does. I would never recommend a moving company that cares so little for personal items. I was really upset with my experience with this company. I spent over a week trying to get an initial estimate for my move that was over a month out and they kept changing my appointment and even completely blew off one they eventually scheduled. When I called trying to explain how my appointments kept getting moved or canceled with no information or notice all of a sudden my move date was magically booked. Right. That's what happened. We recently moved from Orange County, California to Washington County, Oregon. We selected Beverly Hills Transfer and Storage (part of Allied Van Lines) and couldn't be happier that we did. Our estimator, Dwayne Gorden, was wonderful! He was an absolute straight-shooter, and as a veteran in the moving business, he was very businesslike but with a terrific sense of humor. He was totally straightforward but didn't pressure us to choose Allied Van Lines, Instead, he made the entire estimating and pricing process very comfortable and left the decision up to us. In the end the decision was an easy one! After choosing Allied as our movers, our co-ordinator, Tonya Hedden, scheduled all the resources and made sure we were in the loop at every step of the process. She was available to answer all our questions, and always did it with a smile. On the first day of the move, the packers arrived right on time, and did a wonderful job with all our belongings. Not only did they complete the job quickly, they also took the time to evaluate the things we had in a local storage facility and packed them for the move as well. Our driver, Douglas, and his crew (Diego and Adrian) were SPECTACULAR! They loaded the entire house and the items in the storage unit in record time. Most importantly, they did it with care, professionalism and courtesy. We can't say enough about the team that loaded our household. On the delivery end of the move, Douglas arranged for an equally skilled crew to unload our furniture with the same sense of care and courtesy. They were every bit as professional and caring as the team who loaded our belongings at the start. They got us all set up in our new digs and were finished ahead of time. We have another move planned for the near future, and there's no doubt we will be using Beverly Hills Transfer and Storage (Allied Van Lines) for that move as well. read more

I am a bit late on giving this review, but I needed to wait until the dust settled. They have ill company practices. They lied. They did not give us a written contract (silly that I trusted the salesperson. This was a learning moment for me). They did not follow through with anything according to their company policy. Their communication was very minimal once they had our money, and they did not provide all the services they told us they would provide. When I was quoted my price, BHTS then approached us about consolidating our items with someone else (people we knew who also happen to be moving) who was going in the same direction, but that our items would arrive a month later. If we chose to consolidate our items, we would have saves $900. I immediately told them that I was NOT interested in that option. BHTS, said ok, no problem, that they would not consolidate our items with those people. After 3 weeks of being late, I had attempted to contact BHTS, but there was no answer to my phone calls, nor were there any answers to my emails. I soon found out that they DID consolidate our items. Same shipment number and everything (I contacted the people who we knew. They were also duped as well since they paid for a whole container and also didn't want a shared container)! They lied to us, all of us. They consolidated our items anyway, and just pocketed the savings!! Our items arrived 6 weeks AFTER the projected arrival date. ALL communication from BHTS seized. I called them, I emailed them, I wrote them letters, and no answer. Based on principle alone, I sued them in small claims and won $900, the savings about that BHTS pocketed. There is not a single honest person working at that company. read more

Here's everything you need to know about this company: RUN!!! The "dispatchers" lost the delivery address twice, they called me by the wrong name, and they pushed back the delivery date five times. On top of it all, the move consultant never returned phone calls after the contract was signed, and the manager who I finally was connected with was rude at best. This complete nightmare of an ordeal actually started out well: The move consultation went smoothly, and the crew who packed up my home were professional and fast. It all went downhill from there. When checking in with them weekly, the Beverly Hills Transfer crew repeatedly asked for the delivery address. I gave it to them FIVE times. When I landed in my new home state, I was so excited to have my items arrive the next morning as scheduled. Then I emailed to check on the status of delivery -- and it turned out the driver was still 2,000 miles and three days away. When did they figure this out? If I hadn't emailed, when would they have told me that I didn't actually have a bed to sleep on for three more days? Later in the week, I heard from the truck driver, who called to ask me my address. (Yes, after all that back-and-forth about my address with the "dispatchers," they still never even told the truck driver where to deliver my boxes.) The the driver told me he was still 1,300 miles away and that it would be even more delayed. FIVE DELAYS from the estimated delivery date. This is a frequent problem with Beverly Hills Transfer, the driver told me. They overpromise how quickly they can deliver and they don't leave any room for traffic delays, for breaks or for the newly scheduled stops between. When the driver finally arrived, the crew was great. They put together the table, the couch, the bed, etc. that they had dismantled on the other end. However, when the driver called in to confirm they'd delivered, it turned out Beverly Hills Transfer had lost my credit card information. How can you trust a company with everything you own if they can't even keep track of the method you'll use to pay? The worst part, by far, was their customer service. At one point, I got a voicemail from Cliff telling me he didn't understand what was so bad about this experience and that -- and I quote -- "oh well," I had to sleep on the floor for four extra days. There are so many moving companies out there. You don't need the headache of this one. read more

So in follow up to my previous post...... all went well initially and we were quite pleased with the service we initially received. All of our things went directly into storage and we finally this week have moved into our home. So I think it was about March 20th or so until 9/8 that we actually had our things. Been unpacking all week and do still have several boxes to go, but missing kitchen items so far.... BUT the killer is..... I have someone elses kitchen boxes. I called BHTS and left a message the moment we realized we had TWO HUGE boxes..... but did I get a call back.... NO..... of course they probably paid a claim and now don't want to bother with it. And my missing things..... someone probably called them saying they had our stuff, but since I didn't know until almost 6 months later, they'd deny no doubt. read more

I can't say enough about how efficient and careful the Allied Van Lines/ Beverly Hills Transfer & Storage Co. I absolutely 100% recommend this team, (Dwayne Gorden, Tonya Hedden and Douglas Martinez #45119.) Everything arrived safely. We had a big move from Los Angeles California to Austin Texas, it was a big and important move for me and my family. First hand, Dwayne's personality was very friendly and professional. He came out with a mask on and gave me a thorough in-person estimate. He knew whats up.. none of that virtual estimate which can be misleading. He gave me a quote within a day, not days or weeks. He explained to me the details and steps very clearly. He also found me one of the best movers which I will explain soon. I was impressed and thankful, definitely a great experience. Dwayne and Tonya worked flawlessly with great service with a smile. I've done several moves in my life but Douglas tops it for being extremely professional yet being friendly. You can tell he really enjoys and loves what he does. You can see it in his attitude and enthusiasm. The way he handled the moving situation was great.. he would consistently remind us that they're the movers and that we need to relax and not to worry. I actually worried about how movers would pack furniture from past experience, but Douglas was extremely careful and made sure all of our possessions were wrapped and protected to my liking. They used blanket covers, tape, and plastic wrap on all of our delicate furniture. I would say he was very efficient yet thorough. This was the first time I witnessed THE PROFESSIONAL level of moving. Looking back, it made all other movers in the past amateurs. The way Douglas worked, you can see that he thinks 2-3 steps beforehand. We have a difficult small entrance from our front door to the hallway and a tight 3-floor staircase with no elevators and all our furniture is huge and heavy, (Restoration Hardware Furniture.) Movers in the past took 3 people and several tries to move our furniture in and out of the complex while Douglas alone or with his buddy took one try like if our tight spaces were double the size. Douglas always paused for us to answer our questions and directions. He was always eager and open to answering any questions and directions. With all the hard work in progress, he as always smiling and very patient. I can't say enough about Douglas, He was very professional and kind, making sure we were happy with every step. I would and will seek him again in the future move. The hardest worker I've seen. Overall, my experience with Beverly Hills Transfer was excellent and everyone was respectful and very nice. The move was smooth and professional and they were very easy to work with. We will be using Allied/ Beverly Hills Transfer & Storage Co. again in the future and highly recommend them to my family members and friends. My family was moving from Massachusetts to Las Vegas and we connected with this company via an Allied affiliate in Massachusetts. They took our stuff from a storage unit in MA and spent over 4 hours inventorying and wrapping/padding every piece of our furniture. Not one item was damaged or even scratched! They gave us an estimated delivery time of 2-3 weeks, given that it was traveling almost 3,000 miles and they arrived in one week! When they delivered our items to Las Vegas, they were again super careful of our items and walls. They even assembled all of our tables and beds! They unloaded a 3 bedroom, 2 floor house in under two hours and were on their way! As for pricing, their estimate was 50% less than most estimates we got, and the final price was almost $1,000 less than their original estimate. When does that ever happen???? I would give 10 stars if I would, between the timeline, care, and price, I can not recommend this company enough! read more

We are at the Yucaipa CApolice department right now to report the theft of my mothers entire service of 6 for 9 of sterling silver, her wedding rings and a mahogany silver chest full of another complete set of plated silver. There are some very dishonest people that are employed by this company and we will persue this matter even if we have to hire private detectives! What doesn't make sense is that you are making excuses for this theft!! We did indeed pack some items up BUT the packers that came the day before repacked those few boxes. The items are gone. The packers knew exactly what was in the boxes. How do I know that they didn't mark them or tell the movers to take them? There were 2 trucks. After they packed up they took several hours going to lunch before coming to the new house. Of course they had many opportunities to take what they wanted. My mother is 87 years old and she bought the plated silver and mahogany chest when she was 18 years old. It's just not right. read more

Been meaning to leave this review since January. Packer stole all our culinary knives. It wasn't until on the receiving end I put it all together. Had discovered loan packer still in my kitchen and with one box still open. Thought it was weird, but it wasn't until my knives didn't make it that I realized he stole them. My driver also harassed me into not creating the packing list by numbers. Incredibly unprofessional- this is standard with corporate moves. Hope to warn others so that they thoroughly think through what their valuables are, and hopefully don't use this company! read more

I used Beverly Hills Transfer and Storage for my move from Los Angeles to Boston. The first problem is that I was given an estimate and had a cashier's check ready when the moving coordinator sent me an email with an amount that was $600 more. That was the first red flag. Second red flag: When the movers arrived, I was asked by one mover if there was a way that I could buy them something to eat and I would get the money back (I had enough sense not to do that). Third red flag: While all of my belongings arrived I noticed that two items were broken. I mentioned that the back of the chair legs were split on one chair and the movers did not seem concerned and later I noticed that leg on my lamp stand was broken and the movers never mentioned that at all. The broken leg was left by the lamp stand so I called my moving coordinator who now seems to answer the phone so I also left a voicemail and sent an email. While I did hear back from her via email she said that sent information to the claims department but she is now asking me to pay $142.00 more for something that she looked over. I have yet to hear from the claims department. This is the second company that i have worked with moving across the country and by far the worst. My experience using Wheaton when I moved from North Carolina to Los Angeles was a million times better. At least when I talked to their customer services and claims department the experience was amazing. I am never using Beverly Hills Transfer and Storage again. read more

Although we've not moved yet, I have gotten several quotes from long distance companies. I've read all the BBB reviews and the YELP reviews. This far, I am very pleased with the interaction I've received from Dan, our coordinator. I was quite pleased he came out to the house to eyeball everything we have so everyone knows we are all on the same page. We've managed to sell a few of our larger items since his first quote and in calling to update, he's been most responsive. I continue to be hammered by other companies calling to quote and they are such bashers when I say I've made my choice.. I HATE THAT. I'd never call them once they use such low-blow techniques to garner business. Shame on them. Looking forward to our move with Beverly Hills Transfer & Storage and for sure I'll update once completed. read more

Nightmare company to deal with. Initial quote was cheaper than others but then they added extra's when we took less items than quoted. They then charged us for the delays caused by them even. Covid is an excuse for everything and they get you to sign an small print that allows them to hold your goods unless you pay for the extra's they make up. Avoid this company or get ripped off like we did. Customer service do not care and get everything in writing, but in the end they will just hold your stuff unless you accept the fake charges. read more

We moved out of LA April 28, and had a scheduled move in date of July 16th set since May... it is July 24th and our truck still hasn't left Los Angeles yet. It's been three months. It's absolutely ridiculous!! Frustrating as well since the original plan was to move our stuff to our new home location... but due to their scheduling issues... they had to go back on their word and keep our stuff there. Not To mention a complete lack of communication. Days go by without a response to any of our inquiries. Save yourself the stress and find another moving company. read more

I am so disappointed by the 'service' I received from this company. It should be illegal to operate this way. I needed a company to move me and my husband from LA to Denver and I had two good experiences with Allied affiliates in the past so I chose Beverly Hills / Allied. NEVER AGAIN. Frankly the next time I move I'm hiring a few guys on either side and driving a U-Haul myself because I'm convinced these people are all criminals at this point. The pickup wasn't too bad although they only sent 2 guys and the team lead was nice enough, just a bit unprofessional (to be fair he said he had a corporate move the night before that lasted until 3 am). All the problems started once the driver got a hold of my items. The driver, William, is absolutely the most unprofessional person I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. He called me for 3 days straight promising to deliver my items. I changed my work schedule around to accommodate and each day I would call him, ask about his ETA, and he would tell me he got delayed and would come the next day. For the third day I asked him to come first thing so we could finally get our items after already waiting for 8 days. He showed up at almost noon and the elevator in our building happened to stop working about a half an hour prior. If he had shown up when he said he would, this wouldn't have been a problem. Instead of talking to us he spent about an hour on the phone and then just DROVE AWAY. Didn't say anything, just left. This was unbelievable. I called our move coordinator Arianne who would only deal with me via email and she just kept repeating that it was still in our promised window so she couldn't do anything about it. It was then promised to me that William would show up the next day between 8 and 9 am. He finally showed up today at 9:45. Now he is refusing to un-crate our glass tabletops because apparently Meghann the salesperson forgot to add it to our estimate. After all the delays and terrible treatment I've received, I have now called Arianne who refuses to do anything and customer service for Allied who claims it's a liability issue. This is so incredibly absurd. If I was half as bad at my job, I would be fired. I honestly don't know how these companies get away with this but I'll never use this company or Allied again. read more

Absolute disaster! Definitely hire this company if you want their movers to show up in the wrong trucks, be unprepared and reeking of marijuana. Also, definitely use them if you want to make sure they do not communicate with you and ignore voice messages at their office. The biggest plus is that they will also destroy packed boxes and show no interest in seeing your belongings get to their final destination. read more

Well, well, I see that Earl is still charming people and that this snake oil of a company is still making lives miserable. We found even more damages as we finished unpacking. The movers had opened even more boxes than we had thought, riffling thru my husband's model airplanes which they then SMASHED boxes on top of and then re-taped the box! WHY? Seriously, WHY do this? Just because we wouldn't bow down and pay you more money, is that it? Getting our report ready to send. Despite their Ms. Simms trying to act like she gave a rip, once she had me telling the BBB that at least they finally listened to us and delivered the rest of our goods, she dropped me like a bad habit. My entire experience with this company was nothing but terrible. We were initially considering both Mayflower and Allied affiliates, and decided to go with Beverly Hills Transfer because the consultant, Tripp, seemed like an honest and caring person, even though it was more expensive. Unfortunately, this isn't what happened. Once we made the decision and signed the contract, the tone of our relationship quickly changed. My fiancée and I had to move across the country on a quick timeline, and do to some complexities in Santa Monica codes, had to file a variety of paperwork. Our moving coordinator, Earl, did not seem to appreciate the urgency of the matter, and they were slow to respond and unable to provide any details as to when the move might be happening, who the mover was going to be, and more. On moving day, the movers were nowhere to be found. We tried contacting Earl, but couldn't get an answer. Finally, we found the truck on another street, and they were unable to make the turn onto our street. Additionally, the truck was too tall to clear the power cables that criss-crossed our street. We were told that they would have to drive back to Gardena to get a smaller truck to use as a shuttle. We were then told that this would add several hundred dollars to the cost. We didn't understand why this wasn't realized when Tripp first came to do the appraisal, and it was the first of many times we felt swindled and lied to. We begrudgingly accepted the cost, and now waited several more hours for them to return with a smaller truck. Once the process began, we ran into another glitch. We had an antique table that needed to be crated, and the movers came with a crate for the glass top, but nothing for the table. We then had to reach back out to Tripp and Earl, who did arrange for them to crate the item free of charge, but they said they had to do it at their warehouse, which would delay shipment by a day. Once we arrived in NYC, we waited for our items to make their way across the country. We always had to ask for updates, and never received straight answers. Day after day passed and we reached the end of our delivery window without the truck. We were told that the weather slowed down the schedule, which meant that now we had to find alternative housing and that I would now have to miss work in order to receive our items. Our items finally arrived one week late, and we began moving-in. The move-in went mostly smoothly, but also was unpleasant. One of the movers opened and unwrapped a painting I specifically asked him not to, which meant I had to now pay to have it repacked. Also, one of the movers made some vaguely anti-Semitic comments to me about the neighborhood. Beyond that, a number of pieces of furniture were badly damaged, included another piece of artwork that wasn't even wrapped. A dresser arrived that had collapsed and imploded inwards. The movers had little interest in accepting any responsibility. Additionally, all of the legs to our sofas were missing. We were told they were in another truck, and would be dropped off the following day. The movers then left one of the sofas jack-knifed in the middle of a room going straight up. The next day, we never heard from the movers nor were the legs dropped off. Neither the movers nor Beverly Hills Transfer responded to our emails or calls. The following day I had my fiancée call, and she did get through. This made me think they might have been screen my call. The mover then claimed that the legs were stolen out of the truck, and that there was nothing we could do except file an insurance claim. So, I did file a claim with Allied, but was informed that the insurance they provided was capped out at $.60 on the pound, so my settlement was only a fraction of the amount of all of the damage done. All in all, this was an absolutely horrible experience that made the stressful process of moving across the country so much worse. I felt that it was poorly managed and that I was mislead. I would stay far away from this company, and certainly wish I had chosen someone else. read more

Shame on BH Transfer for not taking responsibility with our possessions. Our 3 bedroom home move was split into 2 trucks because they mis calculated the requirements or they hired a trucker who didn't read the bill of lading and showed up with not enough room. Regardless it's been over 1 month and 1/2 our belongings are on a 2nd truck somewhere. MISSING. Beware your long distance move should not be with this company. We are missing many items which they are passing the buck on responsibility. UPDATE:After waiting 3 months to get 1/2 of our belongings, we had basically ZERO cooperation from Beverly Hills Transfer and storage. We had to go to Allied Corp (which was marginally helpful) We had 1 very large painting that was 'misplaced', and took an additional 2 months to get from San Diego where it was misplaced to, WA State. They did not want to pay for a special trip so they opted not to rush it. Funny I paid for, and booked a delivery and moving schedule, but that was 100% ignored. Also items that were packed at point of origin, and crated (and paid for this) was not un crated unless I paid extra to the local delivery guys. Allied did reimburse for this, but it was a hassle and BH was the bad guy who told local delivery to collect because they did not want to pay out. The FULL REPLACEMENT VALUE was also ignored on 5 pieces of furniture that were damaged. They rejected the claims to repair even with pre-move and post move photos documenting with movers at hand. Just DENIED. All I can say is Buyer Beware, don't use BH Transfer for any long distance moving. read more

We used them on our move from Los Angeles to Phoenix. Our moving consultant, Aaron Anderson, was so honest and thorough. He gave us a very accurate assessment and was very friendly in explaining the process. He made sure we understood every aspect of our move and packing and how it would be handled. They went out of their way to keep our things safe and yet we're efficient. They were not the cheapest, or the most expensive, but they were and are the best. They also took the time to come and do a site visit. This gave us an accurate bid upfront, when other companies only wanted to talk over the phone. I'll just leave these photos right here of my entire home and life that went up in flames because of this company. They refused to reimburse me for my losses beyond the small insurance converage I paid prior to the move. This was true even though the driver of this truck (according to the fire report) continued to drive with knowledge of truck malfunction. $100K in losses, and my grandmother's ashes later...I never even got a follow up from the company. read more

We had a great experience with BHTS. I work for a nonprofit children's foundation and we were expecting a last minute in-kind shipment donation during the holidays and BHTS was there to help every step of the way. The staff was extremely friendly and bent over backwards to help us with whatever needs we had. I would definitely recommend this business to anyone who needs help with transfer and storage. If you are going to be in the warehouse during the winter months, make sure you bring a warm coat, gloves, and hat! it is freezing in there! read more

I had a relatively simple pick up and delivery - from 10x10 storage unit in SoCal to apartment in Manhattan with an elevator - but the entire process went as smoothly as could be. Estimate was fairly accurate (on conservative side) and promptly taken. My move date was a little uncertain, but they were able to accommodate an earlier pickup and delivery than initially scheduled. Pickup from the storage unit was very professional, and the delivery to the apartment was even better (right on time). All items were in perfect condition and accounted for, and they even re-packaged some things that I had packaged myself. Again, fairly easy move in the grand scheme of things, but I'd highly recommend giving these guys a chance. I can't understand the negative reviews since my own experience was absolutely the opposite. I've moved several times in my life and can honestly say that this was the most pleasant experience with an event usually accompanied by major stress. I just moved my daughter here and between us, we couldn't be more pleased. The contacts were pleasant and courteous, the price was way lower than I expected and the pickup and delivery schedules were met almost to the minute. She doesn't live in a particularly accessible place in a forest, but the 3 man crew handled the move with care and a great attitude, unlike other movers I've had in the past. I highly recommend this company and if, heaven forbid, I'm ever faced with another move, they'll be at the top of my list of carriers. read more

Crooked pricing and lost creates as well as countless unanswered calls and messages. They were triple the cost of all other shipping companies. Manager blamed it on Allied Van Lines (there owners). Never again. read more

The salesman Joseph (With Allied) was awesome, the price I was quoted was what I paid. And they offered the lowest price easily. About$1000 lower than any of the other companies I called. The movers came and were very professional, and brought our stuff within 2 days. It was super fast, and everything came safe. My only complaint was the move coordinator Irma (Beverly Hills Transfer and Storage). I called to ask her a question to verify specifics about the move and she verbally bit my head off and acted like I was trying to take advantage of the company. Luckily I talked to Joseph and was able to get my question answered. However I almost cancelled with this company because of Irma. I would suggest Allied put her through some customer service training because she needs it. read more

Tonya and her team made our move from LA to NYC easy; Kevin and his crew showed up on time, loaded everything within the time slot (6 hours) doing no damage to anything; 9 days later our furnishings showed up with a NY crew (Matt & Brian) who brought in 12,000 lbs the day after the big NYC snow storm to a 1 floor walkup; they were THE BEST crew ever, worked tirelessly thru 2 days, reassembled everything, broke nothing and had a great sense of humour (6 stars for them alone)...nothing even close to the horror stories I've read with other movers; professionals with a great track record are the best to deal with; it costs no more read more

We did a cross country move and I chose Allied because they did my last cross country move 20 years ago. Our estimator was prompt and kind but the reason for the 5 stars is because of Ventura, our driver. Ventura and his crew were AWESOME! He was on time for both the loading and the unloading. He and his guys were professional, courteous and they treated my home like their own by putting down carpets and pads to make sure nothing was damaged. These guys are amazing! Both Stuart (estimator) and Jennifer (move coordinator) were the best. Not only did they have the best price, but their customer service was top notch and there every step of the way, during what is usually a stressful part of one's life, whether moves in same city, outside of, or completely out-of-state. I sold my condo and was dealing with some very inflexible and pain in the butt buyers (I'll leave it at that) who would not budge on pushing out the close date in escrow. With the mass exodus of people from large cities, from the 2020 craziness, moving van line companies like this and the other big ones, book up many weeks in advanced. The buyer wanted me out in 7 days, after the last loan contingency was removed, and money from the bank to buy, was approved. Let alone 7 days to pack, I crossed my fingers Allied/Beverly Hills Transfer & Storage had an opening. And they did!! Jennifer and Stuart were there every step of the way, communicating before, on move day and after, to keep in touch on when my stuff would be delivered to storage in Vegas. I could not say enough on how great these guys are. Highly highly recommend using them if you are considering a move and need super professional, friendly and calming service, to put you at ease all the way until your final destination.
