Just worked with Tim Movers for a move from Long Beach, CA to the San Diego area and they were good to work with. The owner was very responsive and hopped on FaceTime right away to do an estimate. He offered me an hourly rate, but also gave me a flat-rate in case I didn't want to chance it with the hourly rate which I ended up taking. It was a full service move with packing included, so the day before the move they came and packed everything up. He had 3 people come and pack up and they were pretty courteous. I do wish they were a little more thoughtful in leaving us blankets and pillows to sleep on since we told them we would be spending the night still and have them move the next day. I also wish they labeled the boxes with a bit more detail instead of just "kitchen," since I can't seem to find my silverware yet...haha! The movers also did chip a mirror. It was a $40 mirror, so not a huge deal and accidents happen, but I did want to point it out. The move itself went pretty smoothly. It took a little longer than anticipated and I thought the movers would remount the TV, which they didn't-but all in all not a huge deal. Outstanding!!!! My parents moved from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. I reached out to Tim and he was very helpful answering any questions I had. I sent some photos of all the rooms and he gave me a fixed price. There was an additional fee for moving a very large/heavy wine cooler included in his original quote. There was not a time limit loading/unloading like some other movers had given me. I was worried about certain art pieces being damaged in the move, but they took great care of everything. The guys filled that truck from top to bottom and front to back. They disassembled and wrapped all the furniture and assembled it all at the new house. 10/10 would recommend. read more

My two movers were able to accomplish this even with having to disassemble and reassemble an IKEA TARVA bed frame. I spoke with someone on the phone 2 weeks before my actual move and had a pleasant rapport with him. My movers were equally as pleasant and easy to deal with. They do not charge extra fees for stairs, gasoline, long distances or heavy items. They do have a 3 hour minimum as most companies do. They can help you pack and unpack. I would not recommend them as a moving company. I originally chose them because it seemed like their price compared to the services they offered was the best value. I paid more than a $1000 to move a studio apartment 20 miles or so. The guys were nice enough and I even took them to lunch but the truck they use and the result is that I got roughly charged twice the time that I was quoted which meant the twice the cost, half my stuff was damaged, when each thing was brought up they told me that it was cause some of my furniture was particle board and easy to break. They scuffed several walls at the new place. Even broke my adjustable beds electronics. None of the furniture in the move including my mattress made it in the condition it started in and when asking for a discount for the damages they sort of laughed it off and took off a few dollars. Again the guys were nice enough but the two guys were definitely not up to making it a pain free move. I repeat pretty much none of my furniture made it in the condition that it started in. It was consistently a pleasure doing business with him, and he displayed strong problem solving skills when unexpected things arose. The interstate closed during the drive due to a snowstorm, and Illia and his driver did a great job to keep me informed, work with my schedule, and assure the truck arrived at a reasonable time. They checked with me on anything they were uncertain of, and took extra care packing and securing my things. I moved forward with booking and they provided a portal of the move where I could upload any information relating to my move. They sent reminder emails a few days before. On the day of the move, they called to let me know how far out they were which was helpful. My move was a pickup for 2 locations, drop off at a 3rd. They were fast, efficient, and paid attention to anything I marked fragile. Everything they wrapped on their own was wrapped very well. They even checked with me to wrap some items I didn't need wrapped. When I unpacked, nothing was broken which is always a fear of mine. I've used Tim Movers twice now and I can't recommend them enough. The guys strong, fast, and very professional. They were respectful of floors and delicate items. They came with a huge truck and all the items necessary for moving. Moved from a townhome to an older home in the same area. The guys were efficient yet careful, making sure all furniture was well wrapped before loading into the truck. The move was definitely not the easiest considering the many stairs in the townhome, and the fact that we were bringing all appliances and a piano, but the guys got straight to work without any complaints. I hired Tim Movers due to their impressively low rate. Unfortunately, I got what I paid for. I have a beautiful piano that I love very much, and Tim was extremely confident over the phone that his movers would handle it with care. Instead, they smashed it against a countertop during a completely routine part of the move that should have been trivial, chipping a corner of it. Thankfully, I caught it on video. His movers were offended that I would even take a video of them moving my piano in the first place. When I told Tim, his first response was denial. Even when I showed him the video, he continued to deny it, grasping for excuses: he first claimed that it couldn'tve been them because they put a lot of cushioning around the piano, and then he claimed that it was the dolly and not the piano itself that his movers smashed against the countertop (which is *slightly* plausible from the video, but not at all when you look at the chip on the piano as well). Finally, without any sort of apology or really even an acknowledgment of fault, Tim offered me a pitifully small compensation for the damage. The whole experience left a really bad taste in my mouth. I expect that Tim usually provides good service, correlated with his high reviews here on Yelp. But I did not have a good experience with him. I felt continually manipulated by both Tim and his movers. read more
