My move with Steve's company, Pacific Packing and Moving went very well! I had a really tough move as I live up 3 flights of steps, I have a lot of stuff, and tons of artwork that needed careful wrapping and handling. I ended up having a 2-day move. Steve and his assistants were so funny and they were quick and professional. I loved listening to them joke around in their Caribbean patois. It made the move more entertaining! When it was time to unload at the storage unit, I watched steve load many dollies, 4 wheelers, and carts with the experience of a master jenga player. He knew how to load each with a max of things that was easy to roll without anything falling off. I was super impressed. Inside my storage unit, things were packed in very well so that they left me a lot of room for me move around in between the boxes inside while the placements of everything in there made great sense. I had a total of 3 movers to empty my storage. Storage had though stuff for a two bedroom apartment minus a couch. They arrived around 10am and were able to remove everything from my storage in an hour. Arrived at my place and was able to unload their truck in an hour. Overall they were quick with the moving. Very nice and friendly. Only thing was the price didn't match what I was originally told but I didn't complain because the service was great. I had planned to give them a bigger tip based on the price per hour I was told but when I was told how much it was it cut into their tips. I would recommend them and will use them again. read more

I called Steve at 3pm on a Saturday needing a super last minute move the next day with lots of furniture, he confirmed he could do it within the hour and that he'd show up with his crew at 9am the next day. He moved our prepacked living room, beds, mattress, TV, fridge, large art, chairs, and a handful of other bulky items in less than 3 hours. Can not recommend these guys ENOUGH. They're professional, friendly, move fast, and absolutely do not make you regret getting some extra help with a big move. I'll call them next time I move, absolutely. Completely damaged my fridge and door frame. Tried to get another customer to pay their parking ticket for being ignorant about the permits they need. Will never give you a method to contact besides just a number that the benevolent Steve can ignore. Don't worry his voicemail inbox has been full for weeks! Overall hard to work with and his workers can't even assemble/disassemble two doors correctly. Took 2-3 hours to do a simple move. Just read the other negative reviews, there is plenty of evidence this guy doesn't know how to deal with customers. I wouldn't even recommend this "company" to a person I hated. They operated illegally and moved an entire apartment and my fridge, damaging their apartment and my apartment. Steve and his crew of guys are VERY VERY meticulous and trustworthy movers. We have used them now twice and have had zero issues. We used Steve initially upon recommendation from very close friends of ours who have used him many times, for some fancy moves with nice pieces and art and such. Two things I love about his operation: one there is no "up-sell" for extra pieces or large boxes or packing. They simply charge by the hour. And very fairly too. Second thing is how Steve runs his crew -- a small example is how one of his new younger guys was moving a box through a maze of furniture and Steve stopped him and had him turn the box 90 degrees to eliminate any possible accident hitting the furniture. We hired this company to help us move our 2 bedrooms worth of stuff all packed and ready to go into our moving truck, we agreed on 5:00 and that's where we came in contact with Steve and when the nightmare began. He messaged my wife to tell her he was running late and would be there between 6-7:00. That time came and went and he ignored all attempts to get a status update. When we finally did connect he was rude and dismissive and said he'd be another hour. By that time we enlisted the help of a friend and we got everything loaded. It was tough because we have a newborn infant that was crying much of the time and needed our attention (part of the reason ordered the service) after we loaded almost everything just after 10:00 he sent a message and said he could come by and for $200 (a $50 discount). We were so over this guy at this point that we didn't even respond my wife posted a review of her experience. He responded by calling her "fucking stupid" and telling her she was being punished by god. read more

Everything was ok until the actual moving day came and the movers showed up OVER an hour late. They never called me to inform me that they would be late, as that would have been the professional thing to do. I ended up having to call them twice before they finally arrived. Finally got everything moved and I was surprised by the total amount due to them. Make sure you look for/clarify what the minimum time is and how many miles they will charge you for gas.
