First I requested a quote on their website and received a response within the hour (even though it was Saturday evening!) The next morning I confirmed and talked with Roman on the phone and he was very thorough and explained everything to me, including their pricing and payment procedures. On the day of the move, Alex texted me that they were on their way and arrived exactly when he said they would. They were super professional and fast and I felt totally at ease with Alex and his crew. For my 2 bedroom move, they sent 3 movers with a huge truck. They had wardrobe boxes I could use for my clothes, which was much appreciated. They took apart things like my table, tv stand, book shelves, etc. and wrapped everything. We were really pleased with Ocean Moving. We had a two-story house with 18 steps just to get to the front door, so this was a tough move. And we had some large furniture weighing over 200 lbs apiece, and one piece that had to be disassembled into 9 pieces. Stan and Alex and the rest of the team did a great job. We used Ocean to move a tenant from one suite to another. The move date was pushed several times because of construction issues. Ocean was great with their flexibility on moving the date. Nonetheless, Roman gave us a really good quote and with all the great reviews on Yelp, we decided to go with him. Roman was incredibly responsive by email and would reply almost within minutes. Oh man, these guys were lifesavers. We had to move a ton of stuff while coordinating with two dogs and a toddler, plus a very pregnant wife who couldn't really help much (me!). They were punctual, worked their butts off throughout a really long day, and were surprisingly delightful people. Despite the fact that they were doing physically difficult labor for hours (and I do mean hours), they remained really easy to talk to, coordinate with, and work with. As a bonus, they had positive attitudes and didn't seem to let anything deter them. My husband jumped in to help all day mostly because he could and we had a lot (a lot!) to move. We thought we had prepped as best we could, but there's still so much the day of. They were awesome about taking the big items apart, putting them back together, and keeping the pace really steady so we didn't feel like they were just running out the clock or anything like that. I would say I hope to use them again in the future, but I don't want to move again anytime soon...so I don't hope to see them again for a long while. Everything about my experience was great. This was my first time hiring professional movers and I had sticker shock from the rates and estimates I got. Most places estimated it would take 6-8 hours for my items. I read all recent reviews of about 10 companies and decided on two. Our move date was flexible but Ocean had our preferred day available. Their rate was a little higher than the other place, but all the reviews said they were fast and efficient, and I figured a half hour faster would more than make up for the difference. About my move: 2 story 4000+ sqft home to a 3000+ sqft home. We didn't want any packing. Large, heavy items only, no boxes. This was a lot of stuff. To minimize costs we disassembled everything ourselves and reassembled as well. We emptied everything and cleared a path to the doors. They did come prepared with tools if this is needed though. I made a list of items and separated it into 1st priority, 2nd priority, and nice to haves. My 1st priority list had 17 items. I estimated if it took 15 minutes for each item, it would take 3hrs 45 minutes total. And that's just loading! So the estimate other companies give of 6-8 hours sounded reasonable. I only had 5 hours available for the move though due to other commitments, so I figured if it got close to that time I would call it. I figured if they got everything I wanted to move (1st priority) in 5 hours, I would be satisfied. If they got my entire list (2nd priority and nice to haves) in 5 hours, I would be super happy and tip extra. And if they got it in my goal move time of 4 hours, I would tip even more (because really they're saving me money). They were incredible and blew my expectations out of the water! They moved all my 1st priority, 2nd priority, and my nice to haves! We actually added more than 5 items to the nice to have because they were so efficient! They wrapped everything in plastic and blankets. They hustled but I never felt my furniture was at risk of getting damaged. I also never get like they were milking the time. We filled up the whole 26' truck! They even helped load an item they had wrapped but couldn't fit into our van. Our move was only a mile away so the commute time was short. But they ended up taking 3.5 hours!!! I was so happy and impressed that we ended up upping our tip even more because it felt like such a relief to have all the large items moved. I would definitely recommend them to everyone. They are definitely worth it with how fast they work. My husband was so happy. Even though he disassembled and reassembled things himself, most of the time we felt in the way or didn't know what to do! read more

We are incredibly happy and grateful we went through Ocean Moving. We were so pleased with every aspect of the experience, that I'm typing this 5 minutes after the movers left. This was my first time using movers and this will be my only go to moving company and recommendation for all my friends and family. On the day of the move, I waited until 10, then called to find out that he did not schedule my move because nothing was confirmed. First of all, my movers arrived on time . This is one of the key I don't like that much when people are late. They did what had to be done in professional manner. We were very pleased with our experience with Ocean Moving and we would recommend them to anyone looking to move! We stumbled upon Ocean Moving while walking in our old neighborhood of Redondo Beach. When we stopped to talk to the guys we were impressed with their friendliness and how carefully they were packing things into the truck. We scheduled a walk thru and Roman came over to assess our house and provided a quote for the job. He was very thorough and provided all the details and answered all our questions. He kept in touch as the moving day approached insuring there were no hiccups or surprises. We opted to pack everything ourselves to save some money but I'm sure Ocean Moving would have done a great job packing as well. Our move required 2 large trucks as we had so much stuff (ie family of 4 - 3 bedroom house plus a tightly packed 2-car garage). Among our stuff were many fragile breakable items and I am happy to report that not a single item was damaged! Obviously part of that was due to how well we packed the items - but quite possibly a larger part was how well Roman and his team handled the moving with great care and concern. We moved about 500 miles from Redondo Beach to Gilbert, Arizona. They emptied our house and loaded the trucks in 1 day and drove to our new house and unloaded everything the very next day! We labeled our boxes to help them know what rooms to put everything in and Roman's team did an amazing job unloading the 2 trucks on the hottest day in Arizona of the year --- 118 degrees!!!!
